Abstract

In the current era of rapid technological development, the student attendance system at MAN 2 Pandeglang Regency still uses conventional paper-based methods, which are considered less efficient and error-prone. This research aims to design a web-based student attendance application to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the student attendance recording process. The development method used is the Waterfall method, which provides a systematic and sequential approach in software development, starting from the needs analysis stage to implementation and maintenance. This application is designed to facilitate the attendance process, where students can take attendance independently and the results are directly stored in the school database. The implementation of this application shows an increase in efficiency, with attendance time drastically reduced to less than 2 minutes, compared to the previous method which was more time-consuming. In addition, this application also helps reduce the use of paper and improve the accuracy of attendance data. In conclusion, this web-based attendance application makes a positive contribution in supporting more effective and efficient teaching and learning activities at MAN 2 Pandeglang Regency.

Abstract

This research examines the shift in player preferences from Mobile Legends to Honor of Kings (HOK) in Indonesia, which reflects significant changes in the MOBA esports industry. This research aims to understand the factors that influence this shift in interest and its impact on the esports industry. The research methods used include social media content analysis and participatory observation in gaming communities to collect qualitative data. The results showed that the uniqueness of HOK's gameplay, boredom with Mobile Legends, and positive influence from influencers and the HOK community were the main drivers of players' interest switch. This research confirms that changing player preferences reflect the evolving dynamics of the video game industry, in which marketing strategies and gameplay innovation play an important role. The findings provide valuable insights for game developers and industry stakeholders in the face of future market changes and consumer behaviour.

Abstract

An organized and efficient parking system is essential for managing high-density parking areas. This study developed a JavaFX-based desktop parking system application with MongoDB database support, thermal printer and webcam integration. The application is designed to automatically record vehicle entry and exit transactions, print manual tickets, and display CCTV camera monitoring. Furthermore, the system also provides tariff management and transaction reporting features accessible through a dashboard. Software quality evaluation was conducted using the ISO/IEC 25010 model, with six main characteristics: Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability, and Portability. The results showed that the application met basic functional aspects, but still had weaknesses in performance efficiency and maintainability. Load testing using Apache JMeter indicated an exponential increase in response time under high load and an error rate of up to 8.82%. This study provides technical recommendations to improve system efficiency through indexing optimization, architectural refactoring to the MVC pattern, and integration of automated I/O devices such as parking barriers and ANPR.

Abstract

Inadequate internet connectivity has become a major barrier to the effective use of electronic library services in tertiary institutions, restricting access for students, lecturers, researchers, and librarians. This study employed a quantitative descriptive survey design to examine the impact of poor internet connectivity on electronic library services and its implications for the development of offline-accessible digital library software. The study was conducted in selected tertiary institutions, with a purposive sample of 76 respondents comprising students, lecturers, researchers, and librarians. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire validated by experts, yielding a Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.87. Responses were gathered online via Google Forms and analyzed using SPSS through descriptive statistics and inferential analyses, including correlation, regression, and ANOVA at a 0.05 significance level. Findings revealed that poor internet connectivity significantly limits access to electronic library resources due to frequent network interruptions, inadequate internet speed, and disruptions to research activities. Connectivity challenges also affect the reliability and stability of electronic library services. In addition, limited internet access influences the effectiveness and quality of offline-accessible digital library software. Correlation and regression analyses indicated significant positive relationships between poor internet connectivity and both electronic library service performance and offline digital library software development, with no evidence of multicollinearity. The study concludes that improving internet infrastructure alongside integrating offline-accessible digital library solutions is crucial for enhancing access, service quality, and user satisfaction in tertiary institutions.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has transformed retail business operations by enabling the adoption of web-based sales information systems. In the context of hijab retail businesses, increasing market competition and changing consumer purchasing behavior demand efficient, accessible, and structured online transaction mechanisms. However, many small and medium-sized enterprises continue to rely on conventional sales methods and unstructured online platforms, such as social media, which limit effective transaction management, data organization, and sales reporting. This study aims to design and implement a web-based online sales information system for Istana Hijab Palembang to support product marketing, transaction processing, and customer accessibility. The research adopts an applied system development approach using the Waterfall methodology, encompassing requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation to ensure alignment between system design and actual business workflows. The system was developed using PHP as the server-side programming language and MySQL as the database management system. The results indicate that the implemented system significantly improves transaction processing efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities. Sales transactions are automated and stored in a centralized database, enabling real-time monitoring and reliable data retrieval. In addition, the system enhances product marketing reach and customer accessibility by providing continuous online access to structured product information and transparent transaction status. The study concludes that the implementation of a web-based sales information system contributes to operational efficiency, improved customer experience, and expanded market coverage. This research provides both practical and academic contributions by offering a replicable digital solution for retail businesses undergoing digital transformation.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of data-driven technologies has increased the application of machine learning in predictive modeling, particularly in health-related domains. Accurate health score prediction requires effective handling of high-dimensional data, where irrelevant or redundant features may reduce model performance. This study proposes the use of the Bald Eagle Search (BES) algorithm for feature selection in health score prediction using a Random Forest regression model. The objective is to optimize the subset of input features in order to minimize prediction error while maintaining model stability. A quantitative experimental approach was employed by comparing a baseline Random Forest model with an optimized model using BES-based feature selection. Model performance was evaluated using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and the coefficient of determination (R²). The baseline model achieved an RMSE of 0.6113 and an R² of 0.9947, while the BES-optimized model obtained an RMSE of 2.4983 and an R² of 0.9126. Although the optimized model showed slightly lower performance, BES successfully reduced the feature space while maintaining competitive predictive capability. The results demonstrate the potential of metaheuristic-based feature selection in developing efficient and interpretable machine learning models for health score prediction.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media platforms has significantly increased the spread of misinformation and fake news, which can negatively influence public opinion and social stability. Detecting fake news automatically has therefore become an important research topic in the fields of natural language processing and machine learning. This study proposes a transformer-based fake news detection model using Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) to perform semantic analysis on social media news content. The proposed framework consists of several stages including dataset preparation, text preprocessing, contextual feature extraction using BERT embeddings, model training, and performance evaluation. The experiments were conducted using the FakeNewsNet dataset, which contains verified fake and real news articles collected from online sources. The dataset was divided into training and testing subsets, and the model was fine-tuned using a BERT-based classification architecture. The performance of the proposed model was evaluated using standard classification metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Experimental results show that the proposed model achieved an accuracy of 94.3%, with precision, recall, and F1-score values of 93.7%, 92.9%, and 93.3%, respectively. These results demonstrate that transformer-based language models are highly effective in capturing contextual semantic relationships within textual data. The findings suggest that integrating transformer architectures into misinformation detection systems can significantly improve the accuracy and robustness of fake news detection in social media environments.
