Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the effect of service quality and ticket price toward Executive Class user satisfaction of KA Kaligung Mas services. This study executive class of Kaligung Mas train as the object because it is the only one executive class train for Semarang-Tegal destination. This study was conducted using questionnaires toward 100 service users of Executive class of KA Kaligung Mas for the 4th Operational Zone, Semarang, as the respondents. The sampling used is purposive sampling. Then, the data is analyzed by quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis includes validity and reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, Goodness of Fit test through regression coefficient (R2), F test and t test. Qualitative analysis is the interpretation of the data obtained in this research and the explanations of the data processing result. The data analyzing by validity and reliability test and classic assumptions test were processed to produce a regression equation as follows: Y = 0,448 X1 + 0,304 X2. In where, the customer satisfaction variable was symbolized with Y, quality of service with X1, and the price variable with X2. Hypothesis testing used t-test showed that the two independent variables partially have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. From the F test could be seen that the two independent variables simultaneously have an effect on customer satisfaction. 0,411 of Adjusted R Square showed that 41,1 percent customer satisfaction variables can be explained by the two independent variables in the regression equation. While the 58,9 percent, is explained by other variables out of the two variables used in this study.

Abstract

The increase in stock prices that are too high that influence the demand for or purchases of shares decreases, which in it make the share price does not fluctuate. For it does not happen then the company take action with the aim of lowering the price of shares on the stock price range of interest to prospective investors and the stock price can be reached by performing the split shares (stock split). Research on stock splits often enough, but give different results, it is necessary to do further research. The study was conducted on 31 companies that are listed on the Stock Exchange and they do stock split in the year  2007-2011. This study uses statistical analysis test two different test average with a 10-day observation period is t = -5 (5 days before stock split) and t = 5 (5 days after stock split ). The method of determination of sample using purposive sampling Base on the test results of one sample t test showed that the market reacts quickly seen from abnormal return with a significance level of 0.003 on the first day after the stock split and a significance level of 0.001 for the trading volume activity. While based on different test results showed no difference in abnormal return before and after the stock split with a significant level of 0.582, but showed differences in the trading volume activity with a significant level of 0.027.

Abstract

Amyl is an important part of PKPU Cabang Semarang as Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).The role of PKPU to collect dan distribute zakat is not easy, and it takes a professional amyl. Therefore, it is necessary to know about amyl motives. The aim of this research is for identify the intrinsic motivation that influences motivation of PKPU Officials as an amyl. The other purposes of this research also to know whether there are Islamic and prosocial motivation on the PKPU cabang Semarang officials self. This research uses qualitative method where the process of collecting data is conducted with interview, so it can discovers more about amyl PKPU Cabang Semarang profession. The object in this research is PKPU officials who have passed minimum two years working period. The result of this research explain that work motivation of PKPU official influenced by work values, individual attitudes, personal desires and expectations, fatigue and work boredom and individual ability. In this research also found that there are form of Islamic and prosocial motivation on the PKPU officials

Abstract

The research was motivated by the growing business of serving food, especially in the form of cafes in the city of Semarang that influence the buying decisions of consumers buying interest again. Buying interest again indicate a high level of customer satisfaction in making a purchase and consumption. Based on sales data in 2011 and early 2012 show that sales have fluctuated Kopi Miring. Therefore, we find two variables that influence consumer buying interest over the attributes of the product and reference communities that are used in this study. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the attributes of the product and the reference community influence over consumer buying interest Kopi Miring. Population used in this study is the Kopi Miring consumers who make purchases of three or more times. Samples in this study as many as 96 respondents using simple random sampling method which happens to be in the Kopi Miring. Analysis of data obtained in the form of quantitative and qualitative analysis. These results indicate that all the independent variables together in a positive effect on re-buying interest and positive influence on an individual basis against buying interest again. Thus, product attributes and reference the community has a positive and significant impact on consumer buying interest again in Kopi Miring Semarang indicate variables which influence the value of 42.5%.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the role of Javanese leadership in the Java company, which was owned by the leader and employee. The purpose of this research was to know the understanding and view of the owner of the company to Javanese leadership. Starts from identifying leader and employee perception on the practice leadership based on the values in the Javanese culture. Javanese culture which was the root of the Java society, had a big part in the character building of the leader in Indonesia. The practice leadership based on the value in th Javanese culture become an integral part in the Javanese leadership practice in company. This study uses qualitative methods in which data collection was the role of Javanese leadership. The sample in this study were workers have work experience of minimal 10 years at CV Batik Indah Rara Djonggrang Yogyakarta. Results obtained from this study states that of the five elements of Javanese cultue that is gotong royong, rukun, bisa rumangsa, sepi ing pamrih rame ing gawe, aja dumeh already reflects the role of Javanese culture in the CV Batik Indah Rara Djonggrang Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The research looked at the influence of Coincident Economic Index and Leading Economic Index besed on Business cycle theory for the period of JCI stock returns from 2003 to 2011. The variables used are issued by the Danareksa Institute variables to form the Coincident Economic Index (CEI) and the Leading Economic Index (LEI). Coincident Economic Index is used to determine a country's current economic conditions and the Leading Economic Index is used to predict economic conditions in the future. CEI variables used are retail sales, consumption of cement, the money supply and car sales. While the LEI variable used was the arrival of foreign tourists, exports and consumer price index. This research using multiple regression with SPSS program.

Abstract

This research reports on a study undertaken in an non profit organization PMI that engaged in humanity. The aims of this research is to examine and identify the intrinsic factors that influences volunteers motivation in PMI Semarang. The factors that used in this research are responsibility, recognition, the work itself and advancement. This research uses quantitative method. Data collected by questionnaires and sampling method used in this research is sensus . Sample used in this research are 98 respondents. Data test techniques used in this research are validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 16. The results of this research indicate that the intrinsic factors are responsibility, recognition, the work itself and advancement have a positive and significant influence with volunteers motivation in PMI Semarang. Variable the work itself has the biggest influence with coefficient values 0,322. Then variable recognition with coefficient values 0,258. Variable responsibility with coefficient values 0,237 and the last is variable advancement with coefficient values 0,212.

Abstract

Performance of a company is determined by the condition and behavior of employees who owned company. One form of employee behavior that can not be prevented the occurrence of a desire to move (turnover intention) that led to the employee's decision to leave her job. High employee turnover rate may result in the organization becomes ineffective because the company loses experienced employees and the need to retrain new employees. This study aims to analyze the influence of the variables of job stress and job satisfaction on turnover intention of employees. The research was conducted in STIKES Widya Husada Semarang. The number of samples set at 98 respondents to the census methods and data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The results of testing of the hypothesis, suggesting that job stress variables have a positive effect on employee turnover intention. Job satisfaction is negatively affecting the turnover intention of employees. The results of a small coefficient of determination indicates that the ability of the independent variables (job stress and job satisfaction) in explaining the dependent variable (turnover intention of employees) is very limited.

Abstract

Lifebuoy has always been a market leader in the toiletries industry in the category of solid soap. Nonetheless, brand value (performance brand) Lifebuoy decline, even elements of brand value (performance brand) as brand share, brand TOM and TOM ad also decreased. It can be assumed the declining strength of the brand in the minds of consumers (brand awareness) and of course will affect consumer attitudes toward the brand (brand attitude) Lifebuoy whether consumers will come back or not. In building a brand (brand awareness), the first step that must be done is the brand should be introduced first to the consumers, so that consumers can be aware of the brand, well-known brand, and ultimately a strong brand can attach minds of consumers (Ridwansyah, 2002) . One way to do that is through advertising with celebrity endorser credibility and appeal of advertising. The purpose of this study to analyze the influence of credibility of celebrity endorser and attractiveness advertising of brand awareness and its effect to brand attitude of Lifebuoy bar soap in Semarang. Sample in this study is 120 respondens who know Lifebuoy advertising. Method used is Purposive Sampling with distributes questionnaire to respondens. This study use quantitive analysis is validity and reliability test, the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, dan goodness of fit test. Based on the result of regression analysis indicate that credibility of celebrity endorser (X1) and attractiveness advertising (X2) have a positive influence and significant to brand awareness (Y1) of Lifebuoy bar soap with a regression coefficient value of 0,554 and 0,304. While the brand awareness (Y1) have a positive influence and significant to brand attitude (Y2) of Lifebuoy bar soap with a regression coefficient value of 0,791.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), Equity to Total Assets Ratio (EAR), Loan to Assets Ratio (LAR) and firm size on Return on Assets (ROA). This study used four independent variables, namely BOPO, EAR, LAR, and firm size, with one dependent variable is Return on Assets (ROA). Sampling technique used was purposive sampling criteria (1) banking company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange and has the most complete financial statements and have been published in the Bank Indonesia during the observation period from 2008 to 2011, (2) conventional commercial banks have already listing before the end observation period. Data obtained by the publication of financial statements listed on the website of Bank Indonesia. Obtained the sample of 12 companies. Analysis technique used is multiple regression, the assumptions of classical test and test hypotheses using t-statistics, testing the coefficient of determination and F-statistics to test the effect of the joint - the same as the level of significance of 5%. It also tested the classical assumptions that included tests of normality, multicollinearity test, test of heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation test. Based on the results of data analysis, showed that: BOPO variables, firm size, loan to Assets Ratio (LAR) has a positive and significant impact on Return on Assets (ROA). The variable Equity to Total Assets Ratio (EAR) has a negative effect but not significant and have the smallest impact on Return on Assets (ROA).
