Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of information asymmetry, leverage, and firm size on earnings management practices in manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange. This study took populations companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2011-2013. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method. The method of analysis used in this study using multiple linear regression analysis to examine the effect of information asymmetry, leverage, and firm size on earnings management practices. The variables used in this study is the asymmetry of information, leverage, and firm size as an independent variable; earnings management practices as the dependent variable. The results showed that the asymmetry of information and firm size has positive influence on earnings management practices, but leverage has no effect on earnings management practices.

Abstract

Banking industry now faced with the situation of intense competition and rapid change in business dynamics. As evidenced by a large number of banks standing in Indonesia at the moment. Some behavior that is done in companies today not only appropriate role behavior, but more expected to bring up the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is an attitude arising among them due to its high organizational commitment. Therefore, by increasing organizational commitment affect Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among employees. This purpose of this study aims to analyze the influence of organizational commitment on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The sample in this research are permanent employees which amounts to 44 respondents by the census method. Methods of data collection in this study was through a questionnaire that distributed to 44 employees in Bank Indonesia  representative office of Purwokerto .The analysis showed that variable organizational commitment have a positive affect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The coefficient of determination indicates Adjusted R Square of 0,563. The results of the determination coefficient indicates that the contribution of organizational commitment in influencing Organizational Citizenship Behavior is 56,3% while the remaining 43,7% is influenced by other variables. It can be conclude that, organizational commitment  have a strong influence in affecting Organizational Citizenship Behavior.

Abstract

Mutual funds are other investment opportunities with measurable risk and return is high enough with enough capital affordable to the community. Mutual funds have an Investment Manager with the ability and knowledge of the market it is or will happen. Therefore, mutual funds selected by investors because it is cheap, easy and "managed by the experts".This research analyst do market timing ability, stock selection skill, expense ratio and the risk level can influence the performance of equity mutual funds in Indonesia. The data used in this research are monthly data on Net Asset Value (NAV), SBI, IHSG, yearly data of expense ratio and prospectus of 12 equity mutual fund that were taken by using purposive sampling method during this research report from January 2009 to December 2013. This research used a descriptive analysis, F test and t test to examine research’s hypothesis, also used assumption classic test there are normality test, autocorrelation test, heteroscedasticity test and multicolinearity test using SPSS Statistics 17.0 program.Based on the results of hypothesis testing showed that stock selection skill and market timing ability positively significant influence toward equity mutual fund’s performance, expense ratio negatively significant influence toward equity mutual fund’s performance while the risk level positively not significant influence toward equity mutual fund’s performance.

Abstract

This research is titled “Analysis of the influence of Transformational Leadership, Compensation Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance ". The purpose  of  research  is to indentify  and  analyze  whether  organizational  commitment  have  aninfluence on the performance of employees at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (persero) Medan UnitKebun Pabatu.The population in this study were all employees of kantor MPC PT. Pos Indonesia cabang Semarang. Samples of this study are 66 employees. The hypothesis in this study is the transformational leadership, compensation satisfaction, and organizational commitment has positive and significant on employee performance.The  results  showed  that  there  is  a  positive  and  significant  correlation  betweenTransformational Leadership, Compensation Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance in kantor MPC PT. Pos Indonesia cabang Semarang 56,3% means that employees performance variables in this study can be explained by the variable of transformational leadership, compensation satisfaction, and organizational commitment of 56,3 %.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences and the factors that affect the Level of Reliance The Audit Board of Republic Indonesia’s (BPK) Auditors at the Ministry / Agencies (K/L) and Local Government, on Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP). The increasing role of APIP in good goverment governance, as well as resource constraints of BPK , is a contributing factor increasing the efficiency of the BPK audit with increasing levels of reliance on APIP. The sampling method was convenient sampling. Samples were selected based on easiness of control questionnaires. This study uses primary data with respondent, BPK’s auditor has done performance audit on APIP in 2013, with a sample of 74 respondents. The statistical tool used is the Mann Whitney U test, Manova, and Multiple Discriminant Analisys. The results showed that there was no difference in the level of reliance and perceptions of quality inspection between APIP K / L and local government. The most influential factors on level of reliance BPK auditors on APIP is independence and objectivity, inherent risk of auditee, and competence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how much influence of the product Brand Image, Product Quality, and Product Purchase Price enable the company to find out main factors of consumer behaviors attitudes of a product. Mostly it is applied in the food industry wherein instant noodles have become staple demands for consumers.            This research was conducted using questionnaires distribution survey method an purposive sampling of some noodles with brand “ Supermi” to consumers,and was analyzed by multiple linear regression. This model emphasizes the influence of product Brand Image, Product Quality, and Product Purchase Price which the final analysis result was well done by using SPSS 22.            Research shows, three hypotheses which have been tested in this study such as Product Brand Image, Product Quality, and Product Purchase Price, have significant positive effects on consumer behaviors attitudes towards instan noodles “Supermi” especially in Semarang. The result has showed and confirmed that this kind of research model is acceptable.

Abstract

This study aims to examine influence of corporate governance mechanism to the level of internet corporate reporting disclosure on manufacturer company who listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013. The dependent variable in this study is the level of internet corporate reporting disclosure measured by total score of 49 items on internet disclosure index, while the independent variable is managerial ownership, public ownership, the number of independent commissioner, audit committee’s meeting frequency, audit committee’s competency and also company size, profitability, liquidity, leverage as control variable.             The data used in this study is a secondary data that collected by using purposive sampling method. Sample of 47 companies from 136 populations from manufacturer companies who listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013. This study used multiple regression for data analysis.            The results of this study showed that the variable number of independent commissioner positively influence the level of internet corporate reporting disclosure. Other variables such as managerial ownership, public ownership, audit committee’s meeting frequency, and audit committee’s competency influence the level of internet corporate reporting disclosure is not proven. In this research model, shows the independent variable managerial ownership, public ownership, the number of independent commissioner, audit committee’s meeting frequency, audit committee’s competency and also company size, profitability, liquidity, leverage as control variable can only explain the variation in the level of internet corporate reporting disclosure of 26%

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Risk Based Bank Rating to theprofitability of general bank go public listed in the indonesia Stock Exchange. RBBR is the newest assessment that replaced CAMEL from Bank Indonesia, in accordance with Bank Indonesia Circular Letter Number 13/24/DPNP/2011. Factors tested are CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio), NIM (Net Interest Margin), GCG (Good Corporate Governance), LDR (Loan Deposit Ratio), NPL (Non Performing Loan), and NOP (Net Open Position) towards ROA (Return On Asset).The sample of this study using purposive sampling method, with the number of sample used were 22 general banks go public listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in the  periode  2008-2013.  Analysis  technique  used  in  this  study  is  a  multiple  linear regression. The result of F test stated that the value of significance is 0,00 means this value indicates that the independent variables impacts the dependent variable significantly. Meanwhile the result of t test showed that NIM has positive and significant effect on the ROA. CAR, LDR, NPL have a negative and significant effect on the ROA. The last is NOP didn’t have a significant effect on the ROA.The result of this analysis showed about 53,2% from the adjusted R2 that ROA can be explained by CAR, NIM, GCG, LDR, NPL, and NOP. The rest 46,8% influenced by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the price, promotion, service quality, and brand image influence on consumers purchase decisions in using Garuda Indonesia flight services. This research also aims to analyze the most dominant factors impact to purchasing decisions on Garuda Indonesia flight servicesThe population used in this research is the consumer who ever or often purchase who ever or often use Garuda Indonesia flight services who domiciled or the cirizens of Semarang City. Samples in this study were 100 respondents and technique used are purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science).Based on results of the research show that the price, promotion, service quality, and brand image have an influence on consumers purchase decisions in using Garuda Indonesia flight services.

Abstract

The research aims to examine and analyze the influence of motivation and work discipline toward performance of employee in PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. Witel Pekalongan. This research was  a sample of 56 of the 125 employees of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. Witel Pekalongan. Samples was taken by Convenience sampling. The analysis used is multiple regression. By using signification limits about 0,05.Based on data calculation result of cost analysis used, obtained regression equality of :  Y         = 0,491X1 + 0,194X2             Analysis result demonstrates that motivation have a positive and significant influence between motivation to employee performance. By significant value about 0,02 (less than 0,05). Therefore, hypothesis which stated that motivation have influence to employee’s work could be accepted. There was no significant influence between work discipline to employee performance, by significant value 0.199 (greater than 0.05). Simultaneously both motivation and work dicipline have positive and significant influence to employee’s performance by f value about 18,729 (more than 0.05), therefore obtained signification value 0,000.
