Abstract

This study aims to test the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure, dividend policy, profitability, capital structure, and firm size toward firm value which measured by Tobin’s Q. To obtain valid results, the testing performed on each variable based on the hypothesis constructed.            The sample used in this study were selected by purposive sampling method. The study population was 135 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. After reduction with several criteria, 19 companies are identified as samples. Observation period is 2010-2014 years, so the number of samples used is 95 sample observations. Testing and analysis method used in this study is multiple regression linear consist of the coefficient of determination test (R2), F statistical test, and t statistical test with classic assumption test such as normality test, multicolinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test.            The results of this research indicate that Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure has not significant negative effect towards firm value, dividend policy has not significant positive effect towards firm value, profitability and firm size have significant positive effect toward firm value, while capital structure has significant negative effect towards firm value. Profitability has biggest influence towards firm value in this study.

Abstract

               The modernization of the lifestyle of a practical and fast-paced society, tissue is now a must-have or carry when traveling. The high competition of tissue production does not make PT Graha Kerindo Utama as Tessa producer afraid to produce environmentally friendly tissue. Although retail stores are now rampant circulating in Indonesia can be a threat and challenge because they are able to produce tissues with a cheaper price. This allows Tessa's tissue is no longer a top priority in consumer purchases.                The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of lifestyle, product quality, promotion to purchasing decisions through brand image. This study uses five variables those are lifestyle, product quality, promotion, brand image, and purchase decision.The study testing the hypothesis using the data as much as 102 respondents. Analytical techniques used in this study using software program SmartPLS version 2.0. This study was conducted to consumers who have used Tessa tissue, where the respondents are university student of bachelor Faculty of Economics and Business. The number of samples in this study were 102 respondents. Data collection method is done through questionnaire. sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. This research uses Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis technique, which is estimated using SmartPLS 2.0 program.            The results of this studied indicate that lifestyle have positive and significant effect on brand image, product quality have positive and significant effect to brand image, attractiveness of promotion have positive and significant effect to brand image, brand image have positive and significant influence on purchasing decision, and significant to the purchase decision. While the attractiveness of promotion has a positive but not significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Solvability takes a big role in an insurance company’s life, they have to make sure that it’s always in a certain minimum condition. Discovering the influennce of Total Claim Paid, Profitability, Underwriting Risk, and Reinsurance to The Solvability of Insurance Companies is the purpose of this research. ROA (Return on Assets) is used as the proxy of profitability and RBC (Risk Based Capital) is used on solvability. Go Public Insurance Companies that listed on BEI are the companies that used as the objects of this research.There are ten insurance companies listed on BEI that can be used as the population of this research, which then processed through purposive sampling to determine the sample by applying some criterias until finally resulted with nine companies as the sample, this research work on the period of 2008-2013, so it will got fifty four data as the observation points. The data that used on this research was secondary data that collected from financial reports of the companies and InfoBank Research Company. The method used in this research was multiple regression analysis, including assumption classic test and used hypothesis test starting F-statistic, T-statistic and then determination of coefficients (R2).The results showed that Total Claim Paid and Underwriting Risk have a positive  significant influence on Solvability, ROA doesn’t have significant influence on Solvability, and then Reinsurance has a negative significant influence on Solvability. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of environmental performance, social performance, and corporate governance to abnormal return as measured by environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure score.The populations of this study are companies in Indonesia and Malaysia listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) that revealed the Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure score in the year 2010-2015. This study used secondary data with total sampel is 192 data as determined by purposive sampling method. Test analysis using data panel eviews with fixed effect model that has been tested by Chow test (F test) and Hausman test.The result of this study show that environmental performance did not has significant but positive influence to the abnormal return. Social performance and corporate governance have significantly and positively influence to the abnormal return. These results correspond with the legitimacy and stakeholders theory.

Abstract

Based on Indonesian Banking Statistics (SPI)Volume 10, Number 1, December 2011 showthat non foreign exchange banks grew enormously,   this can be seen from the growth of Third Party Fund (DPK), Net Interest Margin (NIM) and profit for the period of the study is increasing compared to the other bank.This research used time series data from non foreign exchange bank’s annual reports for the year of 2008 until 2011. To determine sampling collection in this study, itwas conducted by usig purposive sampling method based on determined criteria. The number of valid sample is 9 banks. This research used multiple regression analysis toclassical assumption test, multiple linier regression test, and hypothesis testing which  included  testing, Goodness of Fit’ testing and T-test’ testing.Result of analysis show that the NPL (Non Performing Loan) and BOPO (OperationalCost Toward Return) is negative effect and significantly on the financial performance of bankingcompanies. The result study also showed that proportion of independent commissioner and CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio)is negative effect but not significantly   effect on the financial performance of banking companies, and firm size have a positive effect and significantly effect on the financial performance of banking companies

Abstract

Nowadays, the development of shoe industry has been very rapid and many shoes brands that have been offered both domestically and abroad, one of which is brand Fladeo. With the many choices offered, consumers are also increasingly critical in making purchasing decisions. In this case there are several factors that can influence consumer purchasing decisions such as product quality and word of mouth. The purpose of this research is to analyse the influence of product quality and word of mouth againts the purchasing decision of Fladeo and brand image as an intervening variable.The population in this research is female consumers in the city of Jakarta and there are 130 respondents as the sample research. Sampling in this research using non-probability sampling methods and purposive sampling techniques. This research using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique which is estimated with AMOS 22.0.The results of this research shows that product quality and word of mouth has a positive and significant effect againts brand image and purchasing decisions, then the brand image has a positive effect againts purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Mutual fund An investment vehicle that is made up of a pool of funds collected from many investors for the purpose of investing in securities such as stocks, bonds, money market instruments and similar assets. Mutual funds are Managed by an professional investmen maganer that can manage the fund in accordance with its investmen objectives.The method used is multiple regression analysis with the classical assumption as statistical requirements.  The  research  variables  consisted  of  total  assets,  fund  age,  expense  ratio  and portfolio turnover. Data used in the study include the NAB monthly data, the effective date of mutual funds, expense ratio and portfolio turnover in the period 2012 - 2014. Forty-five conventional mutual funds with the observation period of 3 years cover 15 equity funds, 15 fixed income funds and 15 mixed fund.The results show  The partial test showed that  total asset and expense ratio give a positive effect and significant on the performance of conventional mutual fund. Portofolio turnover give anegative effect and not significant on the performance of mutual fund. Fund age give a positif effectbut not significant on the performance of mutual fund.

Abstract

Maxx Carwash & Detailing is one of the premium carwash in Semarang. In the last two years, Maxx Carwash & Detailing began to experience symptoms of decline. Customer dissatisfaction of services and facilities is the reasons why people stop using a company’s service. Thus, the company needs to be able to implement strategies in order to keep or increase consumer interest in using services offered by Maxx Carwash & Detailing.Maxx Carwash & Detailing has a problem on the number of services that dropped significantly on two treatments offered. For car wash service during the period 2015 to 2016 there was a decrease in the number of services by 11.52%. As for the service doorsmeer decreased the amount of service amounted to 48.79%. In addition, in the pre-survey conducted, researchers also found some complaints from consumers, namely the most are a long service time and waiting room that is less comfortable..This study aims to analyze the effects arising from sense experience, feel experience, think experience, act experience towards customer satisfaction and word of mouth in increasing customers’ intentions to repurchase Maxx Carwash & Detailing’s services. The method used in collecting data is insidental sampling. This study has 165 samples that were collected through questionnaires. Questionnaires were distributed to the respondents who have ever tried using Maxx Carwash & Detailing’s services in Semarang. The data   collected were processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through AMOS ver. 23.0 by testing seven hypotheses.Based on the research of data processing SEM for full model has met the criteria of goodness of fit as follows, the value of chi-square = 279,286; probability = 0,222; RMSEA = 0,020;  CMIN/DF = 1,066; TLI = 0,986; CFI = 0.988, and two marginal criteria which are GFI = 0,886 and AGFI = 0,859. With the result, it can be said that this model is feasible to be used. The result showed that sense experience through customer satisfaction and word of mouth has the most significant impact on repurchase intention. Thus, in order to increase repurchase intention, Maxx Carwash & Detailing needs to increase sense experience and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The research aims to examine and analyze the influence of leadership anddistributive justice toward job satisfaction of employee in PT. Energi Mega Persada Tbk, Jakarta. Data collected through distribution of questionnaires and it is implemented to 139 employees of PT. Energi Mega Persada Tbk, Jakarta.Analysis of data in this research using the help of SPSS version 20. Asampling technique uses a survey method and data test technique is used within the research includes validity test by factor analysis, reliability test with cronbach. Classic assumption test and double linear regression analysis, to verify and to prove the research hypothesis.Analysis result demonstrates that leadership have a positive influence toward job satisfaction. Distributive justice have a positive influence toward job satisfaction and leadership have a positive influence toward distributive justice.

Abstract

Intense competition in the clothing store business has made H.A Laury Semarang revenues decreased. This study aims to explain the influence of the service quality, product quality, and competitive pricing, in order to influence purchasing decision which store image is used as an intervening variable between service quality and product quality. This study was conducted at H.A Laury Semarang. This study was conducted by taking samples using non probability sampling technique by purposive sampling method, the respondents are consumer who have bought in H.A Laury Semarang. Used as a sample of 100 respondents to fill out a questionnaire which consist of open and closed quetions. The result show that service quality and product quality has positive and significant impact on store image, and store image has a positive and significant effect to purchasing decision. Competitive pricing also has a positive and significant effect to purchasing decision.
