Abstract

Gender is not only about type of sex, but it is more about character, social role and identity in the society. Gender equality has not perfectly happened in workplace and also political issue. It caused of the incredulity of people about women leadership. However, in previous research we found that women and men are equal on their leadership capability. Therefore, this research aimed to identify leadership style, leadership effectiveness, and also challenges of men and women leaders in Indonesia.This research used qualitative method and case study approach. The main object of this research are men and women leaders in Indonesian government organizations. Moreover, this research investigated on subordinate, counterpart, and superior about leadership of those leaders.The result of this research revealed that men and women leaders are using transformational leadership style. And then, those leaders are considered equal on leadership effectiveness, and also have common challenges on task, communication, and their leadership

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Third-Party Funds (TPF), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Interest Spread and Return On Assets (ROA) to distribution of credit of SME in commercial bank. This research used the Commercial Bank which was listed it to Indonesian Stock Exchange. The data that it used at this research came from the annual published financial report of each Commercial Banks.             The population in this research was all Commercial Banks that was listed it to Indonesian Stock Exchange during period 2009 through 2013. The amount of population was 32 commercial banks. After passed the purposive sampling method, amount of the bank that fulfilled the criteria of sample became 11 commercial banks. The method that used in this research was multiple regression analysis and then used assumption classic test and used hypothesis test that including F-statistic, T-statistic and determination of coefficients (R2).            The result of this research was CAR variable influence negatively and significant to distribution of SME’s credit, ROA variable influence negatively and significant to distribution of SME’s credit and DPK and NPL variable influence positively and not significant to distribution of SME’s credit. Interest spread variable influence negatively and not significant to distribution of SME’s credit.

Abstract

The background of this research is the sales  decline PO Jaya Indah Semarang in the period 2012-2014. , The decline in sales can be formulated that how consumers feel satisfied and loyal after using PO Jaya Indah Semarang amid increasingly fierce competition phenomenon. This study aimed to examine the effect of Quality of Service , Perception of Price on Consumer Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction on tourist buses PO Jaya Indah Semarang. Samples were consumers buses PO Jaya Indah Semarang, amounting to 100 people. Data analysis method used is quantitative analysis using multiple linear regression analysis.Quantitive methods include the validity and reliability, the classic assumption test, testing hypothesis through F test, t test and the coefficient of determination (R2). And in this study using Sobel test to detect Customer Satisfaction as intervening variable. The results showed that the Quality of Service and Perception of Price showed a positive influence on Customer Satisfaction, Customer Satisfaction subsequently accepted as an intervening variable in mediating the Quality of Service and Perception of Price to Consumer Loyalty.

Abstract

The banking industry in Indonesia facing a difficulty after the crisis and showing its performance.. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) to the Return On Assets (ROA) and determine the variabel that give the dominant influence on the annual report of conventional banks in Indonesia.The object of research is 41 conventional banks in Indonesia in assets listed on the Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) for the period 2010-2014 and the sample used in this research is secondary data from Return On Assets (ROA). This study used the purposive sampling method. The data analyses employed the use of multiple linear regression. The result from this study indicates that CAR and NIM has not significant influences on ROA. And then, LDR and BOPO has significant influence on ROA.

Abstract

Competition in business area which more competitive provides opportunities for consumers to be more flexible for choosing products that are needed or wanted. It does provoke a phenomenon that is increasing and variance of products offered by the company, it’s cause consumers are vulnerable to do brand switching. Because of that, companies need to know how to retain existing customers not to move to the competitor brand. One of the way is to create value (perceived value).The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of celebrity endorser and word of mouth to perceived value, the effect of perceived value to brand switching, and the effect of celebrity endorser to brand switching. This study is conducted to consumers who have taken certain cosmetics and move to Wardah. The samples in this study were 135 respondents. The method of data collected through questionnaires. The sampling method in this study is a non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. This study uses analytical techniques of Structural Equation Model, which is estimated by AMOS 21.0.The Result show that the celebrity endorser has a positive and significant effect on perceived value, word of mouth has a positive and significant effect on perceived value, perceived value has a positive and significant effect on brand switching, but celebrity endorser does not significantly effect on brand switching.

Abstract

In order to achieve the maximum benefit, it is very important to acompany to pay attention about compensation and training to improve the performance of the employees. The Employees who receive compensation as they expect would directly be able to improve their performance. As well as the training provided, training whom appropriate to job would enhance the ability of these employees, so that the performance would also increase.This research was conducted at PT. GaneshaAbaditama located in East Jakarta in order to determine the effect of compensation and training on job satisfaction in improving employee performance. The samples are 65 respondents using census method. As the independent variable in this research are compensation and training, intervening variable is job satisfaction, as well as the dependent variable is the performance of employees. The analysis includes the validity, reliability, model test, classic assumption test, test hypotheses.The influence of compensation on job satisfaction is about 0.069, which means that compensation has a positive and significant relationship to job satisfaction. The influence of training on job satisfaction is about 0.351, which means that training has a direct influence on job satisfaction. The influence of compensation to the performance is about 0.010 indicates that proves compensation has no direct influence on the performance. The influence of training on the performance is about 0.272, which means that the effect of job satisfaction tested positive for performance. The influence of job satisfaction on the performance is about 0.589, which means that job satisfaction has a direct influence on the performance.

Abstract

ABC products was an old brand that had a good quality. ABC always improve their quality products trought the age and had an international standardized. This purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of the advertising and endorser towards brand awareness and their effects towards decision buying on ABC soy sauce, where  independents variables of this research is Advertising (X1), Endorser  (X2), and Brand Awareness (X3) become intervening variable that give impact towards Buying Decision (Y) as a dependent variable. The population of this research is soy sauce customer. Sample that used in this research are 100 respondents. Technique sampling method that used in this research is purposive sampling. While its survey method used questionnaires. Then analyzed method that used in this research includes validity test, reliability test, multiple regressions, and classical assumption test. Hypothesis test that used includes F test, t-test, and Determination Coefficients Analysis (R²). According to this research results, regression formula: Y1 = 0,45 X1 +  0,8 X2 and = 0,661 + 0,140.  According to statistic data analysis, indicators in this research showed that all data were valid and reliable. As an individual, variable that have the biggest impact is Brand Awareness. And followed by its independent variable, Advertising, and Endorsers. Hypothesis testing used t-test showed that the advertising significantly influences its dependent variable  (Brand Awareness), but Endorser has no significant impact towards Brand Awareness. When this research used multiple regression analysis, Brand Awareness significantly impact Buying Decision.

Abstract

           This research was conducted to examine the influence of macroeconomic factors, as measured by inflation, interest rate, REER exchange rate and GDP growth to financing Islamic bank in Indonesia. This study also used control variables of demography (number of Muslim population in Indonesia) and the global financial crises effect in 2008.             Data used this study was obtained from the Financial Report of Bank Indonesia publications, and bank report through the website. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample in this study 6 Sharia foreign exchange banks. Data analysis techniques used in this study is multiple regression on panel data, where there are 6 Sharia foreign exchange banks and 40 periods (quarterly data 2007 – 2016). There are two research models, in the model I the regression of macroeconomic variables to Islamic bank financing. Whereas in the model II the regression of macroeconomic variables to Islamic bank financing, demography and the global financial crises effect as a control variable.              The result of this research is, in the regression model I variable inflation have positive and significant effect to Islamic bank financing, while the variable interest rate, REER exchange rate, and GDP growth have a negative and significant effect to Islamic bank financing. Whereas in regression model II, inflation have a positive and significant effect on Islamic bank financing, the REER exchange rate have a negative and significant effect on Islamic bank financing. There are differences where the variable interest rate and GDP growth have insignificant effect to Islamic bank financing. Control variables demography have a significant effect while the global financial crises effect have insignificant effect to Islamic bank financing.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of incentives and non-physical work environment on job satisfaction and employee performance in PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Central Java and Yogyakarta. Hypothesis testing is done by distributing questionnaires as much as 100. The analysis used is the result of validity test, reliability test, the hypothesis test with the aid of SPSS version 20 computer using multiple linear regression analysis.Based on calculation of data and analysis used, the regression equation is:Y = 0.474 X1 + 0.399 X2 (the regression I)Y = 0.220 + 0.335 X1 + 0.412 X2 Y1 (regression II)By using multiple regression analysis, it can be concluded that the variable incentive positive effect on job satisfaction with 5,873 tvalue greater than 1,661 ttable with figures of significance 0,000 < 0,05. Variable non-physical work environment positive effect on job satisfaction 4,943 tvalue greater than ttable. Variable incentive positive effect on employee performance with tvalue 2,854 greater than ttable. Variable non-physical work environment positive effect on employee performance with tvalue 4,510 greater than ttable. And variable job satisfaction has positive influence on employee performance with tvalue 4,510 greater than ttable.It can be concluded that the variable incentives, non-physical work environment and job satisfaction have a significant influence on the performance of employees at PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Central Java and Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study is aim to analize the influence of physical work environment, non physical work environment, stress on performance on employee performance in PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasional IV Semarang. This study is applied toward 64 employees in PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasional IV Semarang. Sampling techniques in this study using purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used in this study include validity, reliability, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, F test, t test, and the coefficient of determination. The result of this study indicates: 1) physical work environment has does not significantly impact to the employee performance, 2) non physical environment has positive and significant impact to the employee performance, 3) stress on performance has not significantly impact to the employee performance.
