Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of Islamic mutual fund shares to examine the relationship between stock selection ability and market timing ability on the performance of Islamic mutual fund shares. The study is also to discover the model of performance measurement that is better adapted to the measurement of the performance of Islamic mutual fund shares in Indonesia. Data used in this study is the monthly data Net Asset Value (NAV), SBIS and JII of 8 Islamic mutual fund shares that were sampled, as well as changes in exchange rates and inflation as conditional control the study period 2009-2015. From the analysis it is found the best model which is the model of Treynor- Mazuy Conditional.The results shows the positive effect of stock selection ability on performance of the islamic mutual fund shares. However the study was not able to show the positive relationship between market timing ability and stock selection ability. The study also shows that majority of the performance of islamic mutual fund shares are better than their benchmarck, except PNM Syariah Equity.

Abstract

Economic crisis in 2008 affected the entire world, including Indonesia. This crisis indirectly led to the decrease of profit and non-profit income and income before tax which are output variables of efficiency of the bank. The crisis also affected the availability of funds to the community, which in the end affects the cost of capital as the input variable of profitability efficiency. This study measures the technical and profitability efficiency of the banks which are listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) over 2006-2010 before and after the 2008 economic crisis. This study used DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) methods and ANOVA test. The results of hypothesis test with ANOVA test showed no difference in technical efficiency and profitability efficiency before and after the 2008 economic crisis. The result can give some suggestion to company or bank management regarding risk anticipation while crisis, Bank Indonesia regarding evaluation and application of policy on Bank industry, bank depositors, and inestors or shareholders of bank regarding information about bank performance while crisis.

Abstract

Overconfidence in investment was a bias that affected investor to be too confident when taking financial decision. Sometimes investors are very confidence getting some information and rejecting other contradictive information that in fact is important to be considered before making any financial decision. Physiologists found that humans had a tendency to rely on to unreasonable believes when making decision. Overconfidence itself affected by cognitive biases such as an illusion of control, better-than-average, miscalibration, desirability bias and unrealistic optimism. This study will take a case study on the investor’s financial decision.           Research population used was investors Semarang. By calculation of sample from Hair et al, this research used 150 investors as respondents. This research used quantitative method by distributing questionnaires. Questionnaire consisted of 30 questions representing the illusion of control, better-than-average, miscalibration, desirability bias and unrealistic optimism as variables in the research.The results shown that illusion of control, better-than-average, miscalibration and desirability bias has a positive and significant effect to the overconfidence related in investor’s financial decisions. Otherwise, unrealistic optimism indicates negative and significant effect on overconfidence behavior.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of credit rating, asset tangibility, profitability, long-term investment, short-term investment on capital structure decision. Sample of this study used non-financial companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange and registered on PEFINDO during 2010-2014. This research was made because there are differences in results between studies with each other.The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling method covering 15 companies as samples. The analysis used multiple regression, which is preceeded by a test consisting of the classical assumption test for normality, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. Hypothesis testing is using F test and t test.The result of this research show that credit rating and profitability had significant negative effect on capital structure decision as well as long-term investment variable had significant positive effect on capital structure decision. In addition, the results did not support that asset tangibility and short-term investment had significant effect on capital structure decision. Moreover it found that the value of the adjusted R square is 41.5%. This means that 58.5% is explained by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of working capital management (number of days cash turnover, number of days accounts receivable, number of days inventory, and number of days accounts payable), size firm, and DER on profitability (ROA) Consumer Goods companies.          The population of this research is the Consumer Goods sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2012-2015. The sampling method used is purposive sampling and acquired 34 companies in the sample. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis and using classical assumption test.            Based on the results of research conducted, simultaneous number of days cash turnover, number of days accounts receivable, number of days inventory, number of days accounts payable, size firm, and DER effect on profitability (ROA). Then partially, number of days cash turnover, number of days accounts payable, and size firm have positive significant effect on ROA. While the number of days accounts receivable and DER have significant negative effect on ROA. number of days inventory have not significant positive influence on ROA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on thecompany's performance and its implications for the value of the company. Intervening variable using the company's performance in the ROA and ROE proxy.The population in this study are listed companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange2010-2013. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques performed by regression analysis and path analysis.Based on the analysis conducted found that the results of the Corporate Social Responsibility positive effect on ROE but had no effect on ROA. Corporate social responsibility has positive effect on firm value. Financial Performance are proxied by ROE can  mediate  relations  between  Corporate  social  responsibility  with  the  company's financial performance but are proxied by ROA can not mediate relations between Corporate social responsibility with corporate values

Abstract

Return is one of the factors that motivate investors to interact and also a reward for the courage of investors in risk on its investments. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of market risk, exchange rates, interest rates and the volume of trading on stock returns.The study population was the whole financial data LQ45 companies listed on the Stock Exchange, in the period from June 2015 to September 2015 totaling 45 companies. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling method. The sample used in this study is the LQ-45 company listed on the Stock Exchange, in the period from June 2015 to September 2015 totaling 45 companies. The data used are secondary data from BEI. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis.Based on the results of the exchange rate and interest rate positive effect on stock returns while market risk and trading volume have no significant effect on stock returns. Based Adjusted R Square is seen that the magnitude of the coefficient of determination of 0.212, so the only independent variable can explain stock returns of 21.2%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of leadership quality, work family conflict, and social support to presenteeism with burnout as intervening variable. This research was conducted at Agency of Population and Civil Registration Semarang City, with sample size was 80 employees who have married status with sampling technique using total sampling. The analysis used included multiple linear regression analysis, path analysis and test of sobel to test mediation effect.The results show a positive and significant relationship between: a) leadership quality with presenteeism, b) work family conflict with presenteeism, c) social support with presenteeism, d) leadership quality with burnout, e) work family conflict with burnout, f) social support with burnout, g) burnout with presenteeism. The results of this study also show that burnout proved to be a mediating variable between leadership qualities, work family conflict, and social support for presenteeism.

Abstract

This research is motivated by low consumer interest (positive emotion) in the prices offered by Air Asia Indonesia, even though the prices offered by Air Asia Indonesia are lower compared to other airlines This study aims to show the effect of hedonic consumption and sales promotion on impulsive buying through positive emotions on Air Asia Indonesia Departure of Soekarnoo-Hatta Airport.The population in this study are users of Air Asia Indonesia are taken by using is a non-probability sampling where the samples used were 150 respondents. Data obtained from the questionnaire which are processed and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling through AMOS program.The results of the study found that the sales promotion and consumption hedonis have positive and significant effect on positive emotions, then positive emotions have a positive effect on impulsive buying. In addition, the two independent variables also have a positive and significant influence on Impulsive buying.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment,the effect of  job satisfaction and organizational commitment to direct OCB, the effect of  job satisfaction on OCB indirect through organizational commitment as an intervening variable, and the effect of organizational support as moderating variable on the relationship of job satisfaction and OCB at PT PLN (Persero) APJ Semarang. This research used the survey method with three forms of regression analysis, the Linear Regression Analysis, Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA), and Path Analysis. The study was conducted on the employees of PT. PLN (Persero) APJ Semarang. The sampling technique was conducted by using Slovin, so that the samples in this study were 77 employees, representing five divisions in PT. PLN (Persero) APJ Semarang.Regression test results indicate that job satisfaction has positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Other regression test results indicate that job satisfaction and  organizational commitment have  positive and significant effect on OCB directly. MRA test results showed that the organization support was able to moderate (strengthening) the relationship between job satisfaction and OCB. MRA test results also indicate the nature of organizational support variable as a pure moderator. Furthermore, test results of Path Analysis showed that job satisfaction can affect OCB indirectly through organizational commitment.
