Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of work-family conflict and non-physical work environment on fluctuations in employee performance, providing strategic insights for a public utility company in the clean water sector to optimize its human resource management. This research offers additional insights by illustrating how highly harmonious horizontal relationships may unexpectedly reduce individual independence by leading individuals to rely on peer assistance. The approach used in this study is quantitative, with saturated sampling, so the entire population of 74 people was used as respondents. Primary data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS version 25. The findings of this study indicate that work-family conflict has a significant negative impact on employee performance, suggesting that higher levels of role conflict are associated with a decline in professional output. In contrast, the non-physical work environment has a significant positive impact on employee performance, indicating that harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective internal communication are vital drivers of productivity. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of stress management to prevent work-family conflict, as well as improving communication and work relationships to support employee performance.

Abstract

The mining sector plays a strategic role in Indonesia's economy and has become one of the most attractive investment sectors due to its significant contribution to national economic growth and export performance. As a result, stock price movements in mining companies are closely associated with investors' evaluations of corporate financial performance. This study aims to examine the effects of Price to Book Value (PBV), Earnings Per Share (EPS), and Price Earnings Ratio (PER) on the stock prices of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2023 period. A quantitative research approach was employed using secondary data obtained from the IDX. The sample consisted of 62 mining companies selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 186 firm-year observations. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25 after satisfying the classical assumption tests. The findings reveal that PBV and EPS have a positive and statistically significant effect on stock prices, whereas PER does not significantly influence stock prices. These results indicate that investors in the mining sector place greater emphasis on valuation and profitability indicators than on market expectation measures when making investment decisions. This study contributes to the literature on stock valuation in the mining industry and provides practical implications for investors, corporate managers, and policymakers in assessing investment opportunities and improving financial decision-making.

Abstract

The Indonesian capital market has experienced rapid growth with an increasing number of Investors, especially in the energy sector, which plays an important role in the national economy. This dynamic requires Investors to consider fundamental factors in determining investment decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Earnings per Share (EPS), Price to Book Value (PBV), inflation, and interest rates on stock investment decisions proxied by the Price Earnings Ratio (PER), in energy sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019–2023 period. This study used 270 observations with 54 companies selected using purposive sampling techniques, then analyzed using panel data regression on STATA 17 software. The results of the study show that all variables simultaneously influence investment decisions. Partially, ROA, ROE, and DER have a positive effect, EPS has a negative effect, while PBV, inflation, and interest rates have no effect on investment decisions. The R² value of 46.20% indicates that almost half of the variation in investment decisions can be explained by the model. Therefore, Investors are advised to prioritize profitability factors and capital structure in assessing the prospects of energy sector stocks, while companies need to maintain asset efficiency, improve equity performance, and manage debt structure carefully in order to strengthen Investor confidence and increase investment attractiveness.

Abstract

The proliferation of beauty influencers' skincare information is frequently inauthentic and inaccurate, leading audiences to scrutinise the credibility of online content more than ever before. This study examines the impact of the trustworthiness of beauty influencer doctors on TikTok on skincare purchase intentions, both directly and via parasocial interactions. This research employed quantitative methodologies, administering surveys to 238 participants and utilising SEM PLS data analysis techniques. Overall, the variables of attractiveness, expertise, trustworthiness, and parasocial interactions are proven to contribute to shaping the audience's purchase intention towards skincare products. However, there are differences in contribution. The findings indicated that trust positively affected purchasing intentions both directly and via parasocial interactions. Attractiveness necessitated mediation, while skill exerted a direct influence. These findings indicate that purchasing intentions are established rationally and that views regarding attitudes and normative beliefs are rational. Consequently, skincare marketers must identify which physicians, as beauty influencers, exhibit substantial trustworthiness and strong parasocial interactions to stimulate purchase intentions for skincare products.
