Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are at the centre stage of socio –economic development of emerging economies across the world and India is no exception. Rather it is MSME sector that is enabling the country to emerge as one of the leading economies in the world.Indian MSME Sector has approximately 45 million units that produce more than 6,000 products ranging from traditional to high-tech items including 67 per cent from manufacturing goods, 17 per cent from services and 16 per cent from repairs and maintenance. Abstract

Since the emergence of the global financial crisis, a decade of time has passed, which allowed for a number of analyzes aimed at assessing government intervention programs of anti-crisis activities to rescue key economic entities from financial bankruptcy and to stimulate demand, investment and production as well as liquidity in the credit market . Currently, taking into account successful intervention in this area in the American economy, the result of these assessments is easy to predict. As part of the pro-development activities of the state intervention, the Federal Reserve Bank applied a low monetary policy of low interest rates and a program for activating lending and maintaining liquidity in the financial system by financing the purchase of the most endangered assets from commercial banks. A few years later, the European Central Bank applied the same activities of activation monetary policy. Currently, among economists prevails the view that if it were not for the application of rapid state intervention referring to the Keynesian formula from 1930s, the scale of the economic slowdown in the world and individual countries would be much greater.

However, the three most preferred sources of finance, if readily available, were in the order banks loans, plant hiring organizations support and mobilization payments from client. The study makes a specific contribution in the context of effort finding solutions to address the financing challenges of SMCFs in Ghana. Abstract

The article examines the determinants of innovation output proxied by trademark application, which is a form of intellectual property rights. The study employed data from the World bank on world development indicators for the period 1978-2017 inclusive of both years focusing on Kenya. The authors used a stepwise regression technique for data analysis. The findings suggest that youth unemployment (female) has an inverse relation while foreign direct investment and availability of domestic credit to the private sector from the financial industry have a direct relationship with innovation activities. However, the proportion of female to male workers (gender diversity) does not affect the number of trademark applications. The findings contribute to the existing literature on innovation performance as well as being useful to policymakers tasked with the regulation of entrepreneurial and innovative processes.

Abstract

This paper purports to review the importance, progress, and major issues being faced by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the perception of entrepreneurs based on empirical study. It has been recognized as an engine of economic growth and lifeline of the Indian economy owing to its inherent features of potential for huge employment generation, lower investment, low cost of capital, economic stimulation, empowerment and wellbeing of rural people. The Government has taken several measures to promote MSMEs by starting various flagship programs and initiatives. Besides the promotional measures of the Government, the MSMEs sector is not free from problems due to various reasons. Hence, it calls for an empirical study to probe into various problems being confronted by the entrepreneurs and their perception. The study adopted an empirical survey method with 296 sample entrepreneurs. The primary data are used mainly for analyzing the problems in different aspects namely financial, operational, infrastructural, labour, marketing, and raw material problems and the perceptions of sample entrepreneurs in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. The study observed that apart from the usual problems as mentioned earlier, this sector is suffering from the inability to adopt new technology, global competitiveness, and access to global markets, which are dire need of the day to be addressed. The present global Covid-19 pandemic lockdown for more than 2 months has disrupted the functioning of MSMEs very badly and it requires robust policy measure to bring back into normalcy

Abstract

China has embarked on its massive infrastructure development projects across and through its western neighbors, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. This grants China quick access to the Arabian Sea and alleviates its strategic security concerns regarding its vulnerability to the “Malacca dilemma.” This also improves Pakistan’s economic aspects of job creation, infrastructure development, and technology transfer. The differences between the economic prospects and the societal values of the two nations are bound to raise tensions and conflicts. China is a secular country with a culture of homogeneity, aggressiveness, task-orientation, discipline, perseverance, intolerance of others, risk-taking, long term orientation, competition and superiority. Pakistan on the other hand, is deeply rooted in the Islamic religion, lackadaisical, less-disciplined, less focused, passive, short-term oriented and easygoing. This paper evaluates the implications and pitfalls for both countries to avoid for mutual benefits
