Abstract

Entrepreneurship provides options for vocational school graduates to work directly or open new jobs through the entrepreneurial skills they have acquired at school. This community service activity was carried out at SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi located at Jl. KH. Ahmad Dahlan no. 20 Putat Kidul Gondanglegi, Malang, East Java 65174, Indonesia. The activity was carried out using lecture and discussion methods. The implementation of this activity was through lecture activities with discussion topics including entrepreneurial values in the production unit including self-confidence, independence, cooperation, search skills, action-oriented and communicative which were then continued with discussions. The conclusion of this community service activity was that there was a lecture on entrepreneurial strategies and the mentality that must be possessed by an entrepreneur to strengthen entrepreneurial values to students in the production unit with a concentration of motorcycle engineering and business expertise (TBSM) SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi.

Abstract

Community service is implemented through socialization with Darur Roja Integrated High School students in order to fulfill the tri-dharma of higher education, which recognizes that community service can actively address issues that arise in the community, one of which is students' ignorance of the campus. There is intense competition among students throughout Indonesia to gain admission to their preferred institutions and majors because high school graduates must want a solid profession in line with their goals. Counseling or socializing strategies, campus-related movies, motivational videos, and presentation tactics of introductory content are used to address issues pertaining to students' ignorance of higher education. Discussion sessions are then used to continue the conversation. It is hoped that grade 12 students at Darur Roja Integrated High School will learn about education via this socialization.

Abstract

Studying at a university will make students have broad insight, think forward, be critical and provide solutions so that they will produce superior human resources. However, in the East Java province, especially the Kediri Residency, the population pays little attention to the importance of higher education. Based on observations, it was found that MA Ma'arif Ponggok class XII still had many students who were less interested in continuing to college. Therefore, there is a need for socialization and motivation aimed at increasing students' interest in continuing to college. The method for community service activities uses the Service Learning (S-L) method, a learning approach that integrates learning activities and community social services. The material discussed is material related to the courses to be studied, various kinds of work that can be pursued, motivation, as well as information about Madani University of Indonesia. These outreach activities have gone well and succeeded in motivating students to continue to higher education. The survey results before the socialization were 27.6% of students' interest in entering higher education and increased to 72.4% after the socialization. The use of social media and Microsoft Office Power Point, which have become popular social media for the current generation of students, is a good support for participating in socialization. There needs to be outreach to students' parents so they can provide support. There is a need for questionnaires and in-depth interviews with students to find out more about the reasons why students are interested in entering higher education.

Abstract

This community service activity was held to strengthen the role of Higher Education in efforts to accelerate development and improve the welfare of the people of Kademangan District. This activity was carried out in November 2024 at the Kademangan District Office, Blitar Regency, located at Jl. Raya Trisula No. 44, Suruhwadang, Kademangan, Blitar, East Java, Indonesia. The approach method used was socialization with lectures and discussions. The activity was carried out in 3 stages including the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. The evaluation of this activity found that as many as 8 villages out of 14 villages in Kademangan District decided to collaborate with academic staff from the community service team to help make development in the village a success. These villages include Plosorejo, Rejowinangun, Plumpungrejo, Sumberjo, Jimbe, Darungan, Sumberjati and Dawuhan. This collaboration is related to the development of BUMDES, improving the quality of human resources, village spatial planning, development of the livestock sector which is the majority of the community's livelihood and a data security system using information technology. The implementation of this PkM activity can be concluded to be able to strengthen the synergy of the role of Higher Education in efforts to accelerate development and improve the welfare of the Kademangan District community.

Abstract

A big challenge for teachers nowadays is how to teach students to critical thinking in making an essay or scientific work originally from their idea not using an application like Chat GPT/AI is so difficult. In this research, the researcher asks all of the English teachers in Islamic senior high schools to gather  MGMP Bahasa Inggris Blitar Raya to discuss about this, the result of this research is that the researcher found some perspectives about using Chat GPT/AI for students, there are positive and negative effect from it. Some English teachers need the ability to make students critically thinking in every single task without using Chat GPT/AI, so the researcher gave some tips and tricks to face this problem. Based on the results, before entering the classroom the teachers ask all of the students to collect their gadgets on the teacher’s table and the teacher must provide students with clear assignments and finish them at that time, so there was no time to find the answer by using the gadget. In the conlcusion, as a teacher, we need some management in a digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of adolescents' understanding of Islamic social ethics through the implementation of the Ramadan Boarding School (Pondok Ramadhan) program. The activity was conducted using a socialization approach through lectures and interactive discussions involving students from SMAN Sutojayan, SMPN 2 Kademangan, and SMAN 4 Kota Blitar. The implementation was carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicate that the Pondok Ramadhan program significantly contributes to improving students’ understanding of Islamic moral values, particularly in social interactions. Participants demonstrated increased awareness of ethical behavior, including respect, tolerance, and responsibility in social relationships. Additionally, active participation during discussions reflects enhanced critical thinking and internalization of moral values. The program also promotes positive behavioral changes and strengthens students' religious character. Therefore, the Pondok Ramadhan activity can be considered an effective model for character education and moral development among adolescents through contextual and experiential religious learning.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di RT 01 RW 01, Kelurahan Rembang, Kota Blitar, menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam memperluas jangkauan pemasaran akibat keterbatasan keterampilan pemasaran digital dan metode promosi konvensional. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan literasi digital para pelaku UMKM setempat melalui pendampingan dan pelatihan pemasaran digital secara intensif. Proyek ini sepenuhnya didanai oleh Pemerintah Kota Blitar. Metodologi pendampingan terdiri atas tiga tahap utama, yaitu persiapan dan asesmen diagnosis, pelatihan lokakarya interaktif dengan menggunakan modul cetak praktis, serta pendampingan langsung secara intensif dalam optimalisasi media sosial dan pencatatan produk di platform e-dagang. Setiap peserta menerima modul pelatihan cetak, sertifikat keikutsertaan, serta paket perintis promosi berupa suvenir untuk menunjang usaha mereka. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam hal pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kepercayaan diri peserta, dengan 100% UMKM lokal berhasil membuat akun usaha di platform seperti Instagram dan Shopee, serta melaksanakan kampanye promosi digital secara mandiri. Simpulannya, program pendampingan ini efektif mengubah praktik usaha tradisional menjadi operasi yang berorientasi digital, sehingga meningkatkan daya saing ekonomi lokal di Kota Blitar.   Digital marketing literacy training assistance for local MSME actors in Blitar City Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in RT 01 RW 01, Rembang Village, Blitar City, face significant challenges in expanding their market reach due to limited digital marketing skills and conventional promotional methods. This community service activity aimed to enhance the capacity and digital literacy of local MSME owners through intensive digital marketing assistance and training. The project was fully funded by the Blitar City Government. The assistance methodology comprised three main stages: preparation and diagnostic assessment, interactive workshop training using practical printed modules, and intensive direct mentoring in social media optimization and e-commerce listing. Each participant received a printed training module, a certificate of participation, and souvenir promotional starter kits to support their business. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge, skills, and confidence, with 100% of local MSMEs successfully creating business accounts on platforms like Instagram and Shopee, and executing independent digital promotional campaigns. In conclusion, this mentoring program effectively transformed traditional business practices into digital-oriented operations, boosting local economic competitiveness in Blitar City.
