Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of school-community relationships in strengthening Islamic Religious Education (PAI), with an emphasis on transforming the role of the community, reinforcing the value base, and developing participatory communication. This study is motivated by the limited involvement of the community, which is often formal and not yet optimally integrated into the educational process. The research employed a qualitative approach through a literature study, examining various relevant scholarly sources to achieve a comprehensive conceptual understanding. The findings indicate that the strengthening of PAI cannot be separated from the reorientation of the community as an active educational partner in shaping students' character. Furthermore, alignment of values between schools and the social environment is crucial to ensure successful internalization of Islamic values. In addition, participatory and dialogical communication has been shown to build trust and enhance the effectiveness of collaboration between the two parties. These findings emphasize that school-community relationships need to be managed systematically, not only in technical aspects but also in terms of values and social interactions. Consequently, the established partnership can make a significant contribution to creating an educational environment that supports the sustainable development of students’ religious character. Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the management of students’ moral development in Madrasah Aliyah as a strategic effort to cultivate character grounded in Islamic values. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of moral degradation among students, as indicated by declining discipline, weak responsibility, reduced respect for teachers, and the emergence of various deviant behaviors influenced by technological advancements and social change. This research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review design, drawing on academic books, scholarly journal articles, and other relevant documents. Data collection was conducted through a systematic literature search, while data analysis utilized content analysis techniques to identify patterns, concepts, and relationships among ideas. The findings reveal that moral development must be positioned as the core of the educational process and integrated into all aspects of madrasa activities, including formal instruction, teacher exemplification, habituation practices, extracurricular programs, and school culture. The moral problems faced by students are multidimensional and require comprehensive and sustainable approaches. Therefore, the management of moral development in Madrasah Aliyah should be systematically designed through well-structured planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as supported by synergy among the madrasa, family, and community. In conclusion, moral development is expected to produce students who are not only academically competent but also possess strong moral and spiritual integrity. Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies for managing student discipline from the perspective of Islamic educational management. The research problem arises from the low level of student discipline, which is not only reflected in violations of formal rules but also in the lack of internal awareness in fulfilling academic and moral responsibilities. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing various relevant scholarly sources. The findings indicate that discipline in Islamic education is a value-based construct rooted in spiritual awareness and moral responsibility, rather than mere compliance with external regulations. The characteristics of student discipline in the modern era tend to be situational, flexible, and influenced by technological developments and social environments. Therefore, discipline management cannot rely on conventional approaches but must be adaptive and value-oriented. From the perspective of Islamic educational management, discipline management strategies should be grounded in the principles of tawhid, amanah, justice, role modeling, habituation, participation, and continuous evaluation. The integration of Islamic values with contextual management approaches is essential in fostering sustainable discipline and shaping students’ character. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the Qur’an memorization (tahfidz) program in enhancing students’ religious character. This research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method, with data collected from books, scholarly journals, and relevant previous studies. The findings indicate that the management of the tahfidz program involves interconnected stages, namely planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The planning stage has not been fully based on a comprehensive needs analysis and is not optimally integrated with religious character development. The implementation has been carried out through tahsin, tahfidz, and muroja’ah activities; however, it still faces challenges such as limited time allocation, diverse student abilities, and a lack of instructional innovation. Evaluation tends to focus primarily on memorization outcomes and has not been conducted comprehensively, resulting in suboptimal follow-up actions. The integration of the tahfidz program with religious character formation is crucial in internalizing Qur’anic values into students’ daily lives. Overall, the tahfidz program has a positive impact on improving students’ worship habits, discipline, responsibility, and moral behavior, although its effectiveness largely depends on the quality of program management and environmental support. Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter, spiritualitas, dan kompetensi akademik peserta didik. Keberhasilan pembelajaran PAI tidak hanya ditentukan oleh guru atau metode pengajaran, tetapi juga oleh ketersediaan, kelayakan, dan pengelolaan sarana-prasarana pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur untuk menganalisis hubungan antara manajemen sarana-prasarana, kondisi fisik fasilitas, serta integrasi teknologi dan media pembelajaran terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran PAI. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan dan kecukupan sarana-prasarana, termasuk ruang kelas, fasilitas ibadah, media pembelajaran, dan teknologi pendidikan, secara langsung memengaruhi proses belajar mengajar, motivasi, dan pemahaman peserta didik. Kondisi fisik dan kelayakan fasilitas yang memadai meningkatkan kenyamanan, keamanan, dan interaksi siswa, sedangkan integrasi teknologi yang tepat mendukung pembelajaran interaktif, diferensial, dan kontekstual. Sebaliknya, keterbatasan sarana-prasarana, fasilitas yang tidak layak, serta pemanfaatan teknologi yang kurang optimal menurunkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pengelolaan sarana-prasarana yang terencana, layak, dan adaptif terhadap teknologi menjadi faktor kunci dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar PAI yang efektif, kondusif, dan mendukung pencapaian kompetensi akademik maupun spiritual siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan Islam melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Fokus kajian meliputi desentralisasi kewenangan sekolah, partisipasi aktif stakeholder, serta pengembangan budaya layanan Islami di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desentralisasi kewenangan memberikan ruang bagi sekolah untuk mengambil keputusan secara mandiri, sehingga layanan pendidikan menjadi lebih adaptif, kontekstual, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Selain itu, partisipasi aktif stakeholder terbukti memperkuat sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat, yang berdampak pada peningkatan relevansi serta efektivitas layanan pendidikan. Sementara itu, pengembangan budaya layanan Islami berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter layanan yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada aspek akademik, tetapi juga pada nilai-nilai spiritual dan moral. Namun demikian, implementasi MBS masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti keterbatasan kapasitas manajerial, rendahnya partisipasi yang bersifat substantif, serta belum optimalnya internalisasi nilai-nilai Islami dalam praktik layanan pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya yang terintegrasi untuk memperkuat kepemimpinan sekolah, meningkatkan kolaborasi stakeholder, serta membangun budaya layanan yang berbasis nilai Islami secara berkelanjutan. Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies of Islamic education management in addressing the challenges of educational digitalization. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review design, analyzing relevant scholarly sources published within the last ten years. The findings indicate that digitalization presents both challenges and opportunities, requiring a comprehensive transformation in Islamic education management, including shifts in paradigms, systems, and organizational culture. This transformation encompasses data-driven planning, flexible and collaborative organizational structures, technology-based learning implementation, and comprehensive and continuous evaluation systems. Furthermore, the integration of Islamic values within the digital ecosystem is a crucial aspect in maintaining the balance between technological advancement and character development of learners. Strengthening teachers’ digital competencies is also a key factor, achieved through structured training, continuous learning culture, and adequate system and infrastructure support. However, challenges such as digital literacy gaps and resistance to change remain significant obstacles. Therefore, Islamic education management strategies must be adaptive, integrative, and sustainable to develop an innovative educational system while preserving its Islamic identity. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies of madrasa principals in improving the quality of education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by examining various relevant sources, including books, scholarly journals, and official documents. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that madrasa principals play a strategic role as leaders, managers, supervisors, motivators, and innovators in enhancing educational quality. The leadership strategies implemented include transformational, visionary, and participative approaches, which contribute to improving teachers’ performance and the effectiveness of the learning process. The success of these strategies is supported by qualified human resources, adequate facilities, and stakeholder involvement; however, several challenges remain, such as limited resources and resistance to change. Effective leadership of madrasa principals has a significant impact on improving teaching quality, teacher professionalism, quality culture, and students’ achievement. Therefore, adaptive and innovative leadership is essential in achieving sustainable educational quality. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manajemen pengembangan budaya religius di lingkungan sekolah sebagai upaya pembentukan karakter peserta didik secara holistik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain kajian pustaka (literature review) yang bersumber dari berbagai literatur ilmiah relevan dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penelusuran, seleksi, dan pengelompokan sumber, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan budaya religius memerlukan manajemen yang sistematis, terintegrasi, dan berkelanjutan. Internalisasi nilai religius harus diimplementasikan dalam seluruh sistem manajemen sekolah, mulai dari visi, misi, kebijakan, hingga praktik sehari-hari. Integrasi budaya religius dalam kegiatan akademik dan non-akademik terbukti efektif dalam membentuk karakter religius peserta didik melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dan pengalaman langsung. Selain itu, keterlibatan orang tua dan lingkungan menjadi faktor penting dalam memperkuat keberlanjutan internalisasi nilai religius di luar sekolah. Sehingga, keberhasilan pengembangan budaya religius ditentukan oleh konsistensi implementasi, kepemimpinan yang berorientasi nilai, budaya organisasi yang kondusif, serta sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat. Abstract

This study examines the management of professional development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in secondary schools, focusing on planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up processes. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature study method, drawing on relevant books, journal articles, and prior studies published within the last decade. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis to identify patterns and relationships among concepts. The findings indicate that the planning of professional development programs has not been fully based on comprehensive needs assessments and lacks active teacher participation. The implementation stage involves both formal and informal activities; however, it is constrained by limited time, insufficient relevance of training materials, and lack of program continuity. Furthermore, evaluation practices tend to be administrative rather than analytical, resulting in weak follow-up actions. The study also reveals that teacher motivation, school leadership support, and a conducive working environment serve as key supporting factors, while limited resources, unequal access to training, and resistance to change act as significant barriers. Overall, effective management of teacher professional development requires a systematic, participatory, and sustainable approach to enhance teacher competence and improve the quality of learning.
