Abstract

This study examines the management strategies of Islamic education programs focused on quality, with a particular emphasis on best practices, challenges, and factors that support successful implementation. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review, analyzing books, journals, articles, and educational policy documents. The findings indicate that effective program management includes student-centered planning, innovative curriculum development, professional human resource management, utilization of technology, and continuous evaluation and monitoring. The success of implementation is influenced by visionary leadership, managerial support, collaboration among teachers and staff, curriculum innovation, technology integration, and active involvement of students and the community, while obstacles arise from limitations in human resources, facilities, and infrastructure, organizational culture, regulations, and inter-institutional competition. These findings underscore the importance of mitigation strategies and the reinforcement of supporting factors to enhance the quality of Islamic education sustainably. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) to enhance the efficiency of Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative method with a literature review approach, this research analyzes relevant sources on MIS practices in the academic context. The findings indicate that MIS effectively automates the management of student and teacher data, attendance, curriculum, scheduling, and financial reporting, resulting in faster, more accurate, and more transparent administrative processes. The main challenges in implementation include technological readiness, human resource competence, and the need for a gradual deployment strategy. Overall, MIS plays a significant role in improving the quality of management within Islamic educational institutions when supported by adequate organizational preparedness and user training. Abstract

This study examines the strategic role of educational supervision in improving the quality of Islamic educational institutions through three key aspects: enhancing teacher competence, strengthening institutional management, and fostering a culture of quality. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research demonstrates that both instructional and administrative supervision contribute significantly to the development of professionalism and institutional quality. Supervision functions not only as a monitoring activity but also as a continuous guidance process that reinforces the quality of learning and institutional governance. Abstract

This study aims to analyze need-based teacher competence development as a strategic approach to improving learning quality and teacher professionalism in Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research examines the process of teacher needs analysis, relevant competence development strategies, and their impact on institutional quality. The findings show that needs analysis—conducted through classroom observations, interviews, questionnaires, focus group discussions, and document analysis, serves as a critical foundation for identifying competency gaps. Development strategies such as need-based training, coaching–mentoring, professional learning communities, academic supervision, and the integration of educational technology are proven effective in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical, professional, and spiritual competencies. The impact of need-based development is evident in the improved quality of learning, the effectiveness of instructional methods, the integration of Islamic values, and the strengthening of a professional culture within the institution. Therefore, need-based competence development is a strategic approach to strengthening the overall quality and sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of partnerships in improving the quality and innovation of Islamic educational institutions through a literature review. The findings indicate that partnership models involving parents, communities, higher education institutions, and the business sector contribute significantly to strengthening the educational ecosystem. These partnerships enrich the learning process by providing diverse learning resources, experience-based learning opportunities, and technological integration. Additionally, external collaboration enhances teacher competence through needs-based training, academic mentoring, and the development of digital media. Partnerships also encourage the emergence of innovative programs, facility improvement, and institutional competitiveness. Overall, partnerships are proven to be an effective strategy for supporting the quality, professionalism, and sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. Abstract

Pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter santri melalui proses pendidikan yang terintegrasi antara pembelajaran, pembiasaan, dan keteladanan. Pembentukan karakter santri tidak dapat dilepaskan dari sistem manajemen pesantren yang mengatur seluruh kegiatan pendidikan secara terencana dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran manajemen pesantren dalam pembentukan karakter santri, meliputi karakter religius, disiplin, tanggung jawab, kemandirian, dan akhlak mulia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus mengenai optimalisasi peran MGMP sekolah dalam pengembangan kurikulum di SMK Ma’arif NU 2 Ajibarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengoptimalan peran MGMP dalam pengembangan kurikulum di SMK Ma’arif NU 2 Ajibarang. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MGMP sekolah memberikan peran yang signifikan dalam pengembangan kurikulum melalui lima tahapan kegiatan, yaitu MGMP lokal yang menghasilkan laporan tiap MGMP sesuai format dari Bidang Kurikulum, MGMP sekolah yang menghasilkan notula hasil MGMP, MGMP Yayasan yang menghasilkan laporan hasil MGMP gabungan, MGMP Tingkat Kabupaten yang menghasilkan notula dan dokumentasi kegiatan, Workshop Akhir Tahun yang menghasilkan rancangan program kerja Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Kurikulum, dan Workshop Penyusunan Kurikulum Satuan Pendidikan (KSP) bersama pengawas sekolah. Workshop ini menghasilkan rancangan dokumen KSP yang memuat isi kurikulum secara menyeluruh. Salah satu komponen  KSP, yaitu intrakurikuler, ekstrakurikuler, dan kokurikuler merupakan hasil dari MGMP yang menjadi salah satu acuan dalam pengembangan kurikulum di SMK Ma’arif NU 2 Ajibarang. KSP menjadi pedoman dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum di SMK Ma’arif NU 2 Ajibarang untuk satu tahun ajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of evaluation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning to improve students’ learning outcomes. The study is motivated by the prevailing tendency of evaluation practices that predominantly focus on cognitive aspects and fail to reflect a comprehensive assessment of affective and psychomotor domains. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by examining and synthesizing various relevant academic sources. The data were analyzed through content analysis to identify conceptual patterns and trends in IRE evaluation practices. The findings indicate that evaluation in IRE should be holistic and integrative, encompassing balanced assessments of knowledge, attitudes, and religious skills. However, in practice, several issues persist, including the misalignment between learning objectives and evaluation instruments, limited teacher competence, and the dominance of administrative orientation. The development of holistic evaluation instruments emerges as a strategic solution to address these challenges through the application of authentic, continuous, and contextual assessment techniques. Effective management of evaluation not only enhances academic achievement but also fosters the development of students’ religious character in a substantive manner. Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the management of strengthening Islamic character education through religious programs in schools. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of students’ character crisis and the suboptimal management of religious programs, which tend to be merely formalistic and have not significantly impacted behavioral development. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing various relevant scholarly sources. The data analysis technique utilizes content analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the success of strengthening Islamic character is highly dependent on the quality of religious program management, which includes planning, organizing, and evaluation and supervision. In the planning aspect, the main issue lies in the lack of needs-based approaches and unclear orientation toward character transformation. In organizing, challenges are found in coordination and the limited involvement of all school stakeholders. Meanwhile, evaluation and supervision have begun to shift toward a more comprehensive approach but still face difficulties in measuring character aspects objectively. Therefore, systematic, integrated, and sustainable management of religious programs is necessary to effectively serve as an instrument for strengthening students’ Islamic character. Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the strategies of conflict management within Islamic educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review design, drawing on data from books, scholarly journal articles, and relevant academic documents published within the last ten years. The findings indicate that conflicts in Islamic educational institutions are multidimensional, encompassing interpersonal, organizational, value-based, role-related, and interest-based conflicts. Conflict demonstrates an ambivalent impact, as it can be destructive when not properly managed, leading to decreased performance, disrupted professional relationships, and weakened learning quality. However, conflict also holds constructive potential when managed effectively, as it can stimulate innovation, enhance communication, and improve decision-making processes. The strategies identified include collaboration, compromise, accommodation, competition, and avoidance, with their application depending on the specific context of the conflict. Among these, a collaborative approach is considered the most effective, as it promotes mutually beneficial solutions. Furthermore, the integration of Islamic values such as consultation (shura), justice, and reconciliation (islah) plays a crucial role in conflict management. Therefore, effective conflict management can contribute to the development of a harmonious, productive educational environment oriented toward character building.
