Abstract

Protists topic contained many concepts that required a sample from the environment in order the students can understand the concepts easily. The student worksheet neede in learning proceses because of there was a topic, practical guides, items with examples of problems in the environment that could help students to understand the topic. Literacy of science was the ability of students to the problems of science related to the environment. Student worksheet based literacy of science was wished to help the students in guiding the practical as well as to collected data experimental results. This research was aimed to produce student worksheet based literacy of science and describe validity, practicality, and effectiveness of student worksheet based literacy of science on the topic Protists in an effort to improve learning outcomes for grade X senior high school. Student worksheet was developed using 3-D models (define, design, develope). The subjects were 20 students of grade X MIA 6 in SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. The validity of student activity sheet obtained based on the validation of two lecturers and teachers of biology SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. Practicality was obtained based on implementation to learning and student response. The effectiveness was obtained based on the results of student learning. The study of the validity indicated the percentage of student activity sheet based literacy of science were 97.63% so as to obtain very valid category. The results showed the percentage implementation  practicality of learning were 97.73%, so included in the category of very practical, while the percentage of students response to student worksheet based literacy of science is 93.5% with the category of very practical use in study. The results indicated the effectiveness of learning outcomes were the percentage of 82.81% so included in the category complete. So that, it could conclude that the developed worksheet was valid, practical and effective.Keywords:  Student worksheet, Science Literacy, Learning Outcomes, Protists.

Abstract

Learning inquiry model is one that promotes learning model to be able to find problem and can solve the problem independently. Phase inquiry model there are six stages: the orientation phase, the phase of formulating the problem, proposed a hypothesis phase, the phase of collecting data, hypothesis testing phase, and the phase of formulating its conclusions. The validity of student worksheet based on the 3 specialist validation. There were two student worksheet developed, that are student worksheet 1 discussing the topic of katabolism and student worksheet 2 discussing the topic of anabolism. The research was 4-D models that are define, design, develop and disseminate stage was not implemented. Data analysis of the validation result was done theoretically and empirically. Validation results indicate that the developed of student worksheet was categorized very valid with the persentage reaches 3.65 for student worksheets 1 and 3.68 for student worksheet 2. Skill of process outcomes showed that students experience increased science of N-gain obtained 0.70 which was categorized as high. The percentage of total students who reached minimal completeness of criteria (complete) at the posttest obtained 95% with minimal completeness of criteria 75 and the completeness of indicators obtained 81,5% complete of 7 indicators at the posttest.Keywords: The Student’s Worksheet (LKPD), Inquiry Model, Process Skills, Metabolism

Abstract

Materi ekosistem adalah salah satu materi yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan sekitar, dan siswa akan mudah untuk memahami konsep materi tersebut jika dilakukan berdasarkan aktivitasnya sendiri. Untuk dapat menunjang pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran materi ekosistem, Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) yang berbasis pendekatan Salingtemas (sains, lingkungan, teknologi dan masyarakat) dapat membimbing siswa dalam mengintegrasikan materi yang diberikan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS berbasis pendekatan Salingtemas pada materi ekosistem kelas X SMA yang valid berdasarkan hasil  penilaian validitas  dari  pakar biologi, pakar pendidikan dan guru biologi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4-D. Tahapan model pengembangan ini adalah define (pendefinisisan), design (perencanaan), develope (pengembangan) dan disseminate (penyebaran), tetapi pada tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan. Kegiatan  pengembangan dilaksanakan  di  Jurusan  Biologi  FMIPA  Universitas  Negeri Surabaya pada bulan Januari - Mei 2017 yang diujicobakan secara terbatas pada 16 siswa kelas X-MIA di MA Ma’arif Pare. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan rata-rata validitas LKS sebesar 3,6 dan termasuk kedalam kategori valid. Dengan demikian LKS yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran Kurikulum 2013 menggunakan Pendekatan Saintifik dengan lima langkah kegiatan pembelajaran (5M), akan tetapi LKS Konvensional yang digunakan SMAN 1 Arosbaya kurang mengoptimalkan kegiatan 5M. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan ketuntasan dan peningkatan hasil belajar menggunakan LKS Konvensional dan LKS Pendekatan Saintifik. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental design dengan menggunakanmetode penelitian Pre-test and Post-test Design dikelasXI MIA 4 (kelas kontrol) dan XI MIA 5 (kelas eksperimen) menggunakan LKS berbasis Konvensional dan LKS berbasis Pendekatan Saintifik.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimenlebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol dengan uji Zmenunjukkanperbedaan yang signifikan karena p<α. Peningkatan ketuntasan indikator dari pretest ke posttest pada kelas eksperimen menggunakan LKS Pendekatan Saintifik lebih tinggi dengan lima indikator yang tuntas pada posttest dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol menggunakan LKS Konvensional dengan tiga indikator yang tuntas pada posttest.  Peningkatan hasilbelajar pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkanbpada kelas kontrol, kelaskontrol mendapatkan kategori tinggi 0,72 dan kelas kontrol dengan kategori sedang 0,54. Dengan menggunakan LKS Konvensional dan LKS Pendekatan Saintifik ketuntasan dan peningkatan hasil belajar meningkat.

Abstract

Penilaian yang sesuai tuntutan Kurikulum 2013 adalah penilaian autentik pada siswa, salah satunya adalah penilaian portofolio, Guru kesulitan membuat instrumen penilaian portofolio. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian portofolio dengan memberikan tugas-tugas dan melihat perkembangan tugas yang dibuat siswa pada laporan praktikum uji urin dan artikel gangguan kesehatan dan pola hidup sehat. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Research dan Development yang mengacu pada model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu Analysis (analisis), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan), Implementation (implementasi) dan Evaluation (Evaluasi). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli – Agustus 2017. Intrumen penilaian portofolio pada laporan dan artikel yang dikembangkan telah divalidasi dinyatakan valid. Perolehan Data laporan dan artikel di Analisis melalui validitas empiris menggunakan Korelasi Pearson (r ≥ 0,444), Reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha – Cronbach (r ≥ 0,444), Keefektifan penggunaan instrumen portofolio dinyatakan efektif  ≥ 75%, dan Analisis Gain Score dan Uji t untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil penyusunan laporan dan artikel pada proses pembimbingan. Lembar angket respons guru dianalisis menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian Instrumen Penilaian Portofolio yang dikembangkan valid, reliabel dan efektif dan respon  siswa dan guru biologi sebesar  95% dengan kategori sangat positif, Skor rata – rata yang diperoleh diuji menggunakan N-gain sebesar 0,82 memenuhi kriteria tinggi dan uji t (α=0,05) menunjukan perbedaan siginifikan antara pembimbingan produk ke - 1 dan ke – 2. Penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen penilaian portofolio pada materi Sistem Ekskresi kelas XI layak digunakan dan efektif dalam pelaksanaannya sesuai dengan tuntutan penilaian Kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

The development was refferred to ADDIE model, consisted of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate phase. The research stage was begun by curriculum, concept, task, and student analysis then continued with design and development stage in Biology Department, Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The developed student worksheet was then implemented limitedly to fiften 12th grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. The observed parameters were the validity of the stundent worksheet and pretest-posttest questions. The data of worksheet and pretest-posttest questions validity obtained from the validation of an education expert, as well as the validation of a material genetics expert and a biology teacher that were analyzed based on mode. The validation result showed that the student worksheet and pretest-posttest questions were very valid with score 4 and 100%, respectively. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the student worksheet and pretest-posttest questions were very valid and worthy to be used in training student metacognitive skills.Keyword: student worksheet, KWL, metacognitive skills, genetics material

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to produce valid student worksheets based on SETS in Archaebacteria and Eubacteria topics to train critical thinking ability for tenth grade. The validity evaluated from several criteria, which are presentation, content, language, and suitable of task in worksheet with critical thinking indicators. The methods of this research is 4-D consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate but disseminate didn’t occur.  Limited trial was done by 16 students in SMAN 1 Sidoarjo. Based on the validator assessment and the result of limited tested, the worksheet developed got percentage as follows: content criteria got modus 4 categoried valid, presentation criteria got modus 4 categoried valid, language criteria got modus 4 categoried valid, and suitable task in worksheet with critical thinking indicators got modus 1 categoried valid. This things supported by the result test average that there are 75% of student thorough posttest and also the student respon got 92% positive respon for the worksheet. Based on the result above, so that the student worksheet is valid to use.Keywords: Development of worksheet, SETS, Archaebacteria and Eubacteria, Critical Thinking Skill.

Abstract

Etnoekologi merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari keterkaitan pola pikir dan perilaku masyarakat dengan mitos, budaya, legenda ataupun kebiasaan yang berkembang di suatu daerah, sebagai wujud hubungan masyarakat dengan lingkungannya. Pembelajaran berbasis etnoekologi merupakan salah satu langkah untuk mencapai tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan validitas buku ajar berbasis etnoekologi pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan/Iklim dan Daur Ulang Limbah untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA kelas X. Pengembangan buku ajar dilaksanakan di Jurusan Biologi, FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, menggunakan model 4-D (four-D Models), yaitu  define, design, develop, dan disseminate, namun penelitian hanya sampai tahap develop. Buku ajar yang dikembangkan memilki karakteristik etnoekologi yang tersaji dalam fitur Etno corner, Bingkisan, Info Bio dan Refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli pendidikan, ahli materi dan guru biologi menunjukkan persentase validitas buku ajar sebesar 3,92%. Sehingga, buku ajar yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat valid dan dapat diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.Kata kunci: validitas, etnoekologi, perubahan lingkungan/iklim dan daur ulang limbah

Abstract

AbstractCritical thinking is a process directed in solving problems and become a much-needed ability to make students better prepared in the learning process. Critical thinking skills in learning proces needs to be facilitated bysuitable appropiate teaching materials that isstudent worksheet based on Reading, Questioning and Answering (RQA) model.RQA learning model is a learning model which train student in construct their own knowledge so the students not only getting the concept but understand the material critically. One of the alternatives to help students to understanding material by facilitating student worksheet to train student’s critical thinking skill.The research was intended to describe the validity of student worksheet based on RQA model in Invertebrate material for train critical thinking skill senior high school student. This research was a developmental research was done based on 4-D model which modified to 3-D model (Define, Design, develop). Abstract

AbstractThe student got the material concept of animalia in the class is expected to be able to applied the concept because of time constraints so that it can be done through project-based learning that are supported by a students worksheet in helped to appplied the concept of animalia. The consept of animalia is to classify animals into phylum. The purpose of this research was to describe the validity of a project-based learning worksheet of Animalia topics based on expert validity. This research used development model 4-D (define, design, develop, and disseminate), but the disseminate phase was not conducted. The result of this research based on authorities with eligibility criteria presentation of 95.38%; the feasibility of the content of 98.66%, and the feasibility of language of 98.63% so got the average of 97.34% that were categorized as valid. So, can be concluded that project-based learning worksheet was worthy to be tested is limited to students.Keywords: Project-based Learning, Worksheet, Animalia Topics
