Abstract

Based on the student needs questionnaires that has been spread in the class X MIA 5 SMAN 3 Lamongan, there are 60.71% of students who have difficulty writing German sentences. Then as many as 57.14% of students said who are interested in game of learning media. Therefore, it takes a media that can help students write German sentences. 3-dimensional snakes and ladders media is a modification form of the snakes and ladders into 3 dimensional form. There are vocabulary and pictures in 3-dimensional snakes and ladders media that can help students write German sentences. This study has a problem “How to develop 3-dimensional snakes and ladders media for learning German language writing skill of student class X SMA?”. The purpose of this study is to describe the development process of 3-dimensional snakes and ladders media for learning German language writing skill of student class X SMA. The steps of media development in this study use Sadiman’s theory but only until validation. The development process of 3-dimensional snakes and ladders media are : (1) pre-production, (2) production, and (3) post-production. The result of this study are: (1) media quality based on expert media validator assessment get 91,25% value with “very good” quality and require little revision, (2) media quality based on expert materi validator assessment get 90% value with “very good” and can be used without revision. Based on the validation result, it can be concluded that 3-dimensional snakes and ladders media developed feasible to be used for learning to write German language class X SMA. Abstract

Speaking is a form of oral communication. Speech skills are conducted in language learning, especially in German. One of the Basic Competencies in the Curriculum 2013, students are required to produce interaction textual oral transactions and write according to the theme specified in Curriculum 2013. Learning to speak German requires an effort to create learning effectively. Learning to speak can be through a learning technique. Learning technique in question is Mind Map. This is because Mind Map is useful for developing ideas through concept maps. Mind map technique was chosen in this study to encourage students to express their ideas that will be presented orally. A problem formulation in this research is how the learning process of German speaking skills of students of grade XI-Language SMAN 1 Gedangan sidoarjo using mind map. The purpose of this study describes the learning process of German speaking skills of students of grade XI-Language SMAN 1 Gedangan Sidoarjo using mind map. This type of research uses qualitative research methods described descriptively. This research data is data of observation result and questionnaire of student response. The results of this study indicate that the effective mind map used in learning German language skills in students of grade XI-Language SMAN 1 Gedangan Sidoarjo. This is evidenced by the application of mind map on learning German speaking skills second meeting is better than the application of mind map on learning German speaking skills first meeting.  The result of questionnaire of student response after application of mind map on learning German speaking skill is mind map gives many benefits to help learners express their ideas presented orally. Mind map technique is expected to add variations of teacher teaching technique to be more creative and innovative, so the motivation to learn German students increased and positive impact on student learning outcomes. Abstract

In German lessons, students not only learn vocabulary and language, but also grammar. Therefore, a medium is needed to develop the writing skills of the students. Are there any difficulties in attributing expressions in German lessons because they differ in writing from other languages? However, there is a learning medium that can overcome the gloominess. Easy German video is an online series that subjects German speakers around the world to authentic language learning materials using audiovisual media. The formulation of this research problem is "What are the results of the writing skills of students SMAN 2 JOMBANG with Easy German video in the class XI semester 2?" This study uses a revised curriculum 2013 and the application Fit Examination Writing (Goethe-Institut) for the creation of evaluation criteria. Writing theory and video theories to analyze the learning outcomes in research data. The result of the research shows that the results of the writing skills of SMAN 2 JOMBANG of the class X! Has increased. Which from the test study 1.2 and 3. That Easy German video can be used to dialogue the class XI semester 2 with the theme of eating and drinking

Abstract

Abstract There are varieties of problems in writing. According to a discussion with the German teacher at SMAN 8 Surabaya, it is found that the students of XII MIA 2 are often having difficulties in determining ideas. The students also have low level of proficiency in diktions and grammatics. Comic strips combine pictures and texts which contains of information needed in essays writing. So the researcher is interested to examine comic strips as a media to improve the students? writing skills. The purpose of this study is to describe the scores of 12th graders of the first semester at SMAN 8 Surabaya in writing descriptive texts using comic strips as a learning media. The data are collected from the students? writing test which was performed 3 times. The data then being compared and analyzed to draw a conclusion. Based on the results, 59% of the students? scores were gained, 12% were fluctuated, 9% persisted and the 19% descended. In consonance with that, comic strips can be used as an alternative media to help the students to advance their writing skills. Keywords: Learning Media, Comic Strips, Writing Skills.

Often learners feel afraid and embarrassed when given the task to appear and speak in front of his friends and less skilled becauses less speaking practice. Three Step Interview Method can be one alternative to speaking practice. The student become more daring/ brave and free to speak German, because the other person is his friend. Three Step Interview is a learning method consisting of three stages of activity that the students consist of two people alternately interview each other, then report the results of interviews with their partner. The formulation of the problem in this study is, how the learning outcomes of speaking skills of students class XI IBB SMAN 3 Sidoarjo by using the Three Step Interview Method. The purpose of this research is to describe the learning achievement of learner?s speaking skill by using Three Step Interview Method. The research instrument is in the test of speaking skill of question and answer interview. Research data obtained from the results of the value of learners for three times the test. Then the results of the values are analyzed using the rubric of the assessment of speech skills. The results showed that the value of learners increased, some others remain and decline. a total of 17 people experienced an increase in value from the first test to the third test. Then as many as 4 people get the same score on the second test and the third test. Then a number of 9 students who experience a decline in value from the second test to the third test. Based on research, half of the students in class has increased after applied Method. So the Three Step Interview method can be an alternative method to practice speaking skills.
