Abstract

The exercise book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3  is a new teaching material for Seniors High School. Therefore, it is important to analyze the suitability between the exercise materials of the book and the competency of the curiculum (curiculum 2013). This research has a goal that would like to know the suitability of writing skill exercises in book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3 with curriculum 2013. The problem of research is: How is the the suitability of writing skill exercises in book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3 with curriculum 2013 for the SMA / MA class XI Isemester 1?. The method  of this research is descriptive qualitative. The theory of the research are curriculum 2013 and the level of the writing test of Nurgiyantoro. The data are from the practice book Ich Liebe Deutsch 3  by Dyah Sapta Wulandari. There are 13 writing skills exercises in Lesson 4, which has  analyzed with the competency of the valid curiculum (curiculum 2013). The results of the research are: There are 7 writing skills exercises that fit with curriculum 2013 and there are 6 writing skills exercises that not fit with curriculum 2013. Abstract

Writing is one of the productive aspects that produces a language. Writing skills should be trained regularly so, can produce a good and correct writing. In the process of German learning, not all students are able to write good and correctly. Particularly in writing German essay, students often have difficulty writing a sentence. For that we need an effective method and effective strategy that is Estafet Writing method using picture media. The application of the Estafet writing method and using picture media as a supporter can involve all students to share their knowledge and ideas and then develop their imagination through a written. The formulation of this research problem is: how the process of applying the method of Estafet Writing using picture media in writing skill learning of German language class X SMAN 1 Gedangan ?. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of applying the Estafet writing method using picture media in writing skills learning German opus writing student class X.      This type of this research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques use observation sheets (observation), documentation and tests to support the process of applying the method of Estafet Writing using picture media. The study was conducted on March 24 - 7 April 2017, three times meeting and followed by 34 students.             Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the method of Estafet Writing using picture media is effective applied in learning the writing skill of German language paragraph. This can be seen from the successful implementation of the method of Estafet Writing using picture media shown through observation data. In addition, the more attention of students of SMAN 1 Gedangan with the method of Estafet Writing using picture media.                                                            Keywords       : Estafet Writing method, Writingskills

Abstract

         This study examines the outcomes of learning the German language reading skills of students class X IPS-1 SMAN 1 Sooko Mojokerto. Learning of reading skills are not easy to learn if Students are not used to reading texts. Reading skills are important skills because it can affect proficiency in other language skills. Therefore, for learners interested, happy, and have a high motivation to read, used Big Book media that will facilitate learners in the learning process. The formulation of the problem in this research is "how is the learning outcomes of German reading skill with the use of Big Book media to the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Sooko Mojokerto. The purpose of this research is to know and describe student learning outcomes with the use Big Book media for German reading skill to the tenth grade students of X IPS-1 SMAN 1 Sooko Mojokerto. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data in this study were obtained from research instrument.  The instrument of this research is a meticulous test and non test in the form of questionnaire response and motivation of learners. The study was conducted during 4 meetings, application of the media performed at the second meeting until the fourth meeting. Results obtained data adjusted to the minimum competens criteria German and analyzed based on the theory of reading skills criteria (Buhlmann und Laveaus;1992). Based on the data descriptions of learning outcomes above, it can be concluded that, Big Book media can be used as an alternative teaching media that can facilitate students in learning German reading skills. It is seen from the data reading skill outcomes of the X IPS-1 students of SMAN 1 Sooko Mojokertpo showed a good learning progres at every meeting.   Keywords : Learning Outcomes, Reading skill, Big Book

Abstract

Based on the observations of the researchers, it was found that the students had difficulty in speaking German, especially in SMAN 3 Sidoarjo. So teacher need the media to answer the problem. Some media can be used to help learners of German speaking skills, one of them is Jeopardy Game Media. Jeopardy Game Media is a medium used in the Jeopardy game by using computers. This media consists of questions and scores because the principle of this media is like a quiz. The questions of this media are about Lebensmittel, Essen und Trinken as they are used for class XI. In this study, the problem which discuss how is the process of developing Jeopardy Game media for learning German language skills. And the purpose of this research is to develop Jeopardy Game media for learning German language skills. The development model used is media development model according to Asyhar, which consists of (1) needs analysis and characteristics of learners; (2) to formulate learning objectives; (3) formulating material points; (4) develop evaluation instruments; (5) draft media; (6) validation; and (7) conducting trials / revisions. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Questionnaires are given to the material and media experts for validation. In the validation aspect, we get 100% results for the material and 96% for the media. Based on this, the media is worthy used  in learning German language skills. Abstract

There are four kinds of language skill, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. According to Nurgiyantoro (2010: 422), writing is the most difficult skill. The IX grade of language class in SMA Negeri 1 Gedangan get the average score of 75, lower than KKM. The Germany teacher give information that the students still have difficulty in pouring ideas in writing a description. Therefore, the research applied concept sentence learning model. In this learning model there are some keywords which used as concept in pouring ideas. According to Shabri Saleh (2015: 63), concept is an abstraction of an ideas with expressed in a word or symbol. This research question is “How the learning result of writing a description skill by using concept sentence learning model for the second semester student  XI grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gedangan”. This research aim is “describing the learning result of writing a description skill with concept sentence learning model for the second semester student  XI grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gedangan”. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. The datas were collected during four meetings. At the first time meeting, the average score was 69. Then the second meeting, the average score increased to 80. At the third meeting, it increased more to 82 until the fourth meeting became 85. Therefore, the concept sentence learning model can be applied in the German language learning because the students’s score result was increase  during three meetings. Abstract

Keywords: Error analysis, Orthography, Writing skills Learning Germany can not be separated from the four language skills that must be taught simultaneously in the learning. Learning is one of them is the writing skill. Writing skills are an active activity. Similarly, in the put forward by Nurgiyantoro (2001: 271) that Writing is an active, productive, complex and integrated language skills that reward disclosures that are manifested in writing. Based on the observations made there are still errors that are often done by students. Therefore, research is done to analyze what kind of mistakes students make when creating a short dialogue in German. Through this research can be seen what mistakes are often made by students in making a simple dialogue using a very simple language. The error that we can see from the result of this research is error of usage of otrografi especially on punctuation. The formulation of the problem in this research is "Error of Using Punctuation what is done by Student of X Grade 2 of  SMAN 1 Mojosari". The purpose of this study is to "describe the errors in the use of German punctuation language in the writing skills of students of class X Semester 2 SMAN 1 Mojosari".  This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research data is obtained from a simple dialogue made by students of class X IPS 3 SMAN 1 Mojosari by using test instrument with subject matter about Introduction (Kennenlernen). From the results of research conducted, found frequent errors include writing point punctuation as in the phrase "Danke, prima und du ?, the error is also done on the comma punctuation as in the phrase" Auf Wiedersehen Kevin "

Abstract

Writing is the most complex skill, since it is one of the productive aspects that requires various linguistics components. German language as the foreign language has different grammar, if the grammar is compared to others, that affects to the difficulty of student’s learning process. Blender Brainstorming is one of the method that enables the students to learn writing. There are 3 steps in this method, such as individual task, partner task, and group task. The research question in this study is “how are the responses of XI grade students in 1st semester toward the Blender Brainstorming as the writing method”. The purpose of this study was to describe the response of XI grade students in 1st semester toward the Blender Brainstorming as the writing method. This study applied qualitative supported by descriptive approach, while the data were the descriptive writing test result and the questionnaire of student’s response. The result presented that the Blender Brainstorming achieved positive response. The positive response through the questionnaire and the writing test result were in mutual accord. It concluded that the Blender Brainstorming method not only showed positive response but it was also supported by the result of the writing test. Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of supporting media at SMAN 1 Kutorejo Mojokerto for learning speaking skills. This can be seen based on a media analysis filled by German language teachers. The proposed media is Flipbook media. Media Flipbook is a medium created with Corel Draw application. This medium is a series of pictures in a small book that seems to move if the page is turned quickly with thumbs hand. The material used is Mahlzeit and Komparativ Superlativ. The sub theme used is Essen Und Trinken. So problem formulation from this research is How to make Flipbook media for speaking skill of SMAN 1 Kutorejo class XI Semester 2. The purpose of this research is to produce Flipbook as a medium for speaking skill of SMAN 1 Kutorejo class XI second Semester students. The type of this research is development research by using the design theory of development according to Sadiman consisting of (1) identification of needs, (2) formulation of objectives, (3) formulation of material points, (4) formulation of measuring tools of success, (5) draft media and (6) validation. Flipbook media is validated by 2 validators, 1 material validator and 1 media validator. From the results of validation, the percentage is 100% of expert material validators with very good criteria, 83.3% of media validators with very good criteria. So obtained an average of 91.65%. Based on Likert scale Flipbook media is feasible to use in learning. Keywords: Flipbook media, speaking skills, German  language
