Abstract

Writing in a foreign language is one of the most productive language skills. Students of X-MIA class 3 SMAN 12 Surabaya consider writing as the most difficult skill. Students have difficulties in developing ideas within and learning outcomes of writing students are categorized less. The success of writing skills is determined by several factors, one of which is the model of learning used in learning process. One of the efforts that can be done is to change the more innovative and creative learning model, such as model TPW (Think Pair Write). TPW is one model of cooperative learning. TPW is a model of learning, that is implemented by pairs with emphasis on the process of thinking and writing. So every student will be forced to develop their ideas. If TPW is applied regularly, then the students writing skills will increase. Formulate of the problem in this research is "How is learning outcomes of description writing skills with TPW (Think Pair Write) model in the class X SMAN 12 Surabaya ?". This is a qualitative research. Subject in this research is students of class X MIA-3 SMAN 12 Surabaya with the total number 31 students. The data of this research is obtained of the test result during 4 meetings and documentation as supporting data. The first test result only (6 students) is categorized very good. The second test result  (15 students) is categorized very good. The third test result  (16 students) is categorized very well. The results of the fourth test (21 students) are categorized very good. It is inferential that the TPW (Think Pair Write) can be used a German alternative, especially in the writing skill. Keywords: TPW (Think Pair Write), Writing Skills, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Language skills has four competens, there are listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. Listening comprehensions has an important contribution to other skills. But the fact is listening comprehension is difficult for the students, so the teacher needs interesting teaching materials namely audio-video (audiovisual). The video Neu in Berlin-Die erste Begegnung from the website www.lingorilla.com is an option. The problem in this investigation is how use of the video Neu in Berlin-Die erste Begegnung for Listening Comprehension in German Lessons to the Class X students SMAN 12 Surabaya. The goal of this study is to describe the use of the video Neu In Berlin-Die erste Begegnung for Listening Comprehension in German Lesson Class X SMAN 12 Surabaya. This study uses qualitative examination method. The data of this study are observation data. The results showed that the video Neu in Berlin-Die erste Begegnung gives the pupils the opportunity to actively participate in teaching and learning activities, because the teachers implementation the application of the video " Neu in Berlin-Die erste Begegnung" And manage with smile, zeal and relaxed. Teachers have control over the media and material presents students so that students can easily understand the material, more enthusiastic and more active in learning. The video Neu in Berlin-Die erste Begegnung is expected to add variations of educational media in the form of video for teachers to be more creative and innovative in order to improve the motivation to learn the German language and to have a positive influence on the learning results to have. Abstract

Learning German, there are four skills to be mastered including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. To enhance students’ skills teacher can use learning sheet as the alternative. Azhar (1993: 78) stated that having learning sheet, there is no need for the students to write a summary as the learning sheet is the summary itself. Learning sheet may ease the students master the whole material given. Those are the basics of developing a learning sheet based on the scientific approach for students of senior high school. The research question under this study is “How is the result of developing scientific approach based learning sheet to learn Germany especially Familie for XI graders in odd semester” The aim of this study is developing scientific approach based learning sheet to learn Germany especially Familie for XI graders in odd semester as well as knowing the quality of the learning sheet. This study belong to R&D (Research & Development) method. The data collected were from books of Studio D A2, Kontakte Deutsch 2, Deutsch ist einfach, and a website of Deutsch Schule. Those data were further analysed by using three stages of selecting the data, classifying the data, and arranging the data. Abstract

German is a  Foreign language lessons in high school. Learning a foreign language is not just skilled speaking, but also need to be Pronunciation, because pronunciation is important. If within pronunciation error occurred then happened also changes meaning.  The research was conducted to obtain types mistake pronunciation and factors. The purpose of this study is described the types of fault its pronunciation and Describes the factors causing the error of pronunciation in German. The type of research this is the qualitative study. The data source of this research is students of SMA Negeri 3 Lamongan class XI Semester 1 Which consisted of 18 people. Furthermore the technique used is random technique and engineering data collection in this research using a test oral focused on pronunciation. Matter used themed family life obtained from the teaching books in the process of learning the language of germans , and the text in the form of text descriptive. The data analysis is done by recording, then transcribed. From the transcript results can be known where the error and determine the type of mistakes made by students. Of this research , students are still facing difficulty in pronouncing vocabulary german. The location of mistakes made by students happened to phoneme / ei / as many as 11 people, a mistake on the phoneme /ch/ as many as 7 people, a mistake on the phoneme /ä/ as many as 6 people, a mistake on the phoneme /eu/as many as 7 people, and a mistake on the phoneme /sch/ as many as 5 people. Based on the results of the study, types a fault committed by students included in the mistake phonetics which includes a mistake pronunciation or of writing and the causes of error occurrances is learning strategy students itself.   Keywords : error, pronunciation, German speaking skills

Abstract

There are four skills in learning German including listening, reading, speaking and writing. Writing is a complex skill to be mastered as it requires knowledge and idea developments. In writing, the process of thinking in order to develop a written idea and expression is necessary. Furthermore, having a good writing skill, the knowledge of grammar and syntax must be well-possessed. Those make writing uneasy and challenging for most students. To facilitate the students in writing, a media should be used to ease them learning writing in German and communicating with others to create a supportive learning atmosphere. Hereby a social media named Whatsapp was used as a media to discuss the process and the result of learning writing. The research question of this study is how is the result of writing in German through Whatsapp as a social media for the tenth graders of language class SMAN 1 Gedangan? The aim of this study is to describe the result of writing in German through Whatsapp as a social media for the tenth graders of language class SMAN 1 Gedangan. This study belongs to descriptive qualitative study. The data were obtained from students’ writing result in four meetings. They were all analysed based on the writing rubrics.. The result is, in the end of the meeting, students’ writing score is increasing compared with their score in the first meeting. For the writing task given in the last meeting, 3 groups got excellent scores and the rest 2 got good scores. To summarise, Whatsapp as a social media can be used as a media to ease the students write in German in the stage of revising or post writing. Keywords: social media Whatsapp, writing skill.

Abstract

While learning language, students doesn’t only need  materials, but also execises. Exercises through worksheets that has function to know whether materials, which has been  learned, have been understood . The teacher can also prove by worksheets whether learning goal has been reached . When student learn a particularly language, like german, they need to learn four skills. They are listening, speaking, reading and writing. When students exercise their reading skill, they need also worksheet so that they can practice their understanding about information from a sentence or text. There are a lot of sources in book”Berliner Platz 1 NEU” and the theme of the book is “Deutsch im Alltag” that is so useful for the students because they learn not only a theory of language but also german culture. But not all worksheet can be applied in a class because they must be suitable with curricular 2013. Curricular 2013 is a curricular that set education system in Indonesia. Therefore a question appears, are the worksheets suitable with curricular 2013?. The research goal is to describe analytical process worksheets for reading exercises from book ”Berliner Platz 1 NEU” with curricular 2013. The research use descriptive qualitative method. Abstract

German is a foreign language subject that is in high school level. In learning a foreign language a person will not be able to communicate if not master the language vocabulary that he learned well. Vocabulary has an important role because it appears in every language skill. Understanding vocabulary is very important in every language study. This research was conducted to find out the learning of vocabulary in German writing skill through application of Kimspiel games. The subject of this research is the students at the 10th grade Bahasa in the SMAN 3 Lamongan. The purpose of this study was to describe the learning process of students on vocabulary learning in writing skills using the Kimspiel games. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collected using research instrument. The instruments that used in this research is observation form. The observation form used to asses student activity. Based on the results of the study, the results of the assessment on the observation sheet showed the percentage at the first observation is 63.6%, the percentage at the second observation is 88.6% and percentage at the third observation is 97.7%, student response to learning vocabulary is positive. This is evidenced by the dominant response from  student response agreed with the application of kimspiel games for learning German language vocabulary. The application of Kimspiel games can add the vocabulary of learners in German language writing skills.   Keywords: Kimspiel, Vocabulary

Abstract

Writing in a foreign language is most difficult when learning. Students at the SMAN 2 Bangkalan have difficulty finding the idea, especially in descriptive writing. Therefore, teachers as the central components in the learning process must be creative and innovative. In order to help the student, therefore, any learning media that is Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch applied. Media Kamus Putar selected, because when someone learns German, one always needs a dictionary. The location of the wording book is at first thick and the students are not interested in that. But this media presents a form of the dictionary that is more practical and not equal to the other in general dictionaries. In this essay, researcher take two main things as an object which are : “1) How to apply learning media using Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch to improve students skills in writing deceptive text. "This research is a true experiment design research using descriptive qualitative research method. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Bangkalan, while the research sample was class X MIA 6 without applying until applying Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch media. This study is a descriptive qualitative study. The data sources are obtained through this study to the students in the class X MIA 6 SMAN 2 Bangkalan, which are up to 35 people. Before and after the application of Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch. The data in this study is the process of applying learning media Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch, which are done three times. There are also data on the learning results of descriptive writing with learning media Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch as next data. The results of this study show that the learning medium Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch is used well and with proper procedures. The result of the observation shows that the students are more active during the learning process. The students like to learn German with the learning medium Kamus Putar Deutsch-Indonesisch, especially in descriptive letters. The ability of the pupils in Germans increases significantly. The learning results of the students are better than before, although there are still some mistakes in writing as in grammar. So the conclusion is drawn that the learning media Kamus Putar German-Indonesian can be used as an alternative to learning German, especially in the teaching of writing. Abstract

Students Worksheets is one of the learning are can help students and teachers in the process of learning. Exercise selected must meet the criteria which had been determined to support the success of school tuition to the learning process better. Hence analyze exercise is needed to know the quality of teaching book used. So going to call this research is “analysis exercise skill writing in lks “wir lernen deutsch” as additional exercises learning write a language german high school students class x the first half 1”. The formulation of the research is how conformity a form of skill writing on lks “wir lernen deutsch “ based on the bernd kast ?. This study attempts to describe conformity a form of skill writing on lks “wir lernen deutsch“ based on the Bernd Kast. In this research using the kind of research descriptive qualitative the method of analysis descriptive. Data sources obtained from lks “wir lernen deutsch” by choosing exercises writing skills. Data analysis research per lektion in accordance the types of practice of writing the theory Bernd Kast. The research is as follows: 29 exercise writing skills conforming to a type bernd kast, 17 exercise at the vorbereitendeübungen, 11 exercise at the aufbauendeübungen and 1 exercise at the strukturierendeübungen. To a kind of ein modell zum schreiblehrprozess (exercise any process of writing ), kreatives und freies schreiben ( free and creative writing ) and kommunikatives, auf reale kommunikationssituationen bezogenes schreiben ( writing communicative ) is not in lks “wir lernen deutsch”.
