Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the dynamics of organizational conflict in ICSSA by examining the sources and forms of conflict, conflict management styles, decision-making patterns, and their implications for organizational communication practices and member involvement. Method: this study uses a qualitative, phenomenological approach, with data collected through literature reviews, field observations, and in-depth interviews with ICSSA steering committee members and other directly involved parties in the dynamics of organizational conflict. Findings: conflict in ICSSA is influenced by its hierarchical structure, centralized leadership, financial independence, and hierarchical communication, with the highest intensity at the regional and national levels. A predominantly avoidant conflict-management style and unilateral decision-making reduce member engagement, transparency, and organizational legitimacy, while limited collaborative communication builds understanding and trust. Implications: this study emphasizes the importance of transparent, participatory, and dialogic communication in student organizations to manage conflict constructively, increase member engagement, strengthen leadership legitimacy, and maintain organizational cohesion and sustainability. Originality: it focuses on an integrated analysis of organizational values, member perceptions, organizational communication, and leadership in conflict management in student organizations with virtual or hybrid work arrangements, a context rarely studied in the Indonesian organizational communication literature.

Abstract

Purpose: to compare the performance of Magnet Axiom and Cellebrite Physical Analyzer in extracting digital evidence from Google Pixel 5a. Method: using a quantitative approach with a comparative experimental method. A dataset of Google Pixel 5a digital images was analyzed using two forensic software tools, Magnet Axiom and Cellebrite Physical Analyzer, in accordance with the NIST framework. The process includes preservation, acquisition, examination, analysis, and reporting. The performance of both tools was quantitatively evaluated by counting the number of artifacts recovered across various data categories and was calculated using the 16 NIST mobile forensic criteria. Findings: the Cellebrite Physical Analyzer outperformed the Axiom Magnet in recovering digital artifacts from the Google Pixel 5a, particularly for internet, geolocation, and social app data, achieving a 75% success rate compared to 56%. The Axiom Magnet performed only slightly better at SMS recovery, but was less effective for complex app data. Implications: choosing the right forensic tool affects the success of a digital investigation; Cellebrite is more effective for in-depth analysis of modern Android devices, while manual verification is still necessary to ensure the validity of the evidence. Originality: directly compares the performance of Magnet Axiom and Cellebrite on Google Pixel 5a with high-security stock Android, using the NIST framework to assess the effectiveness of digital data recovery and integrity.

Abstract

Purpose: to examine the effect of green accounting, proxied by the Proper rating, and profitability, measured by return on equity (ROE), on firm value, measured using price to book value (PBV), at PT Bukit Asam Tbk. Method: this study employs a quantitative research approach using secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports and sustainability reports of PT Bukit Asam Tbk for the 2019–2023 period. Firm value is measured using price-to-book value (PBV), green accounting is proxied by the Proper rating, and profitability is measured by return on equity (ROE). The data are analysed using multiple linear regression, and statistical testing is conducted in SPSS. Findings: the results of this study indicate that green accounting and profitability do not have a significant effect on firm value at PT Bukit Asam Tbk during the 2019–2023 period. These findings suggest that, within the coal mining sector, firm value is more strongly affected by external factors and market perceptions rather than environmental performance and profitability alone. Implications: this study implies that environmental performance and profitability alone are insufficient to increase firm value in the coal mining sector. Companies need to integrate financial performance, sustainability strategies, and risk management while improving transparency to enhance market confidence. Originality: it focuses on Indonesia’s coal mining sector, specifically PT Bukit Asam Tbk, using Proper ratings as a proxy for green accounting, and provides new insights into how environmental and financial performance relate to firm value in a high-risk industry.

Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the effect of the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio and the operating expenses on the operating income (OEOI) ratio on Bank Mandiri’s stock price. Method: this study employs a quantitative explanatory research method using secondary data from Bank Mandiri’s annual financial statements and stock prices for the period 2014–2024. The analysis includes descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regressions to examine the effects of NPL and OEOI on the stock price. Findings: the NPL ratio has no significant effect on Bank Mandiri’s stock price, while the OEOI ratio has a significant negative effect. These results indicate that stock price movements are more sensitive to operational efficiency than to credit risk during the observed period. Implications: operational efficiency strongly influences stock prices, highlighting the importance for banks to manage costs effectively and for investors to consider efficiency alongside credit risk in investment decisions. Originality: providing updated empirical evidence on how NPL and OEOI ratios influence Bank Mandiri’s stock price, addressing inconsistencies in previous research, and focusing specifically on the latest financial performance and market response in the Indonesian banking sector.

Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the effect of staple food prices (shallot, garlic, red and green chili peppers, beef, and chicken) on inflation in South Sulawesi Method: this study employs a quantitative approach using secondary monthly time series data from 2021 to 2025 in South Sulawesi. Multiple linear regression analysis is applied to examine the impact of staple food prices on inflation, supported by classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing using t-test and F-test. Findings: staple food prices jointly have a significant effect on inflation in South Sulawesi. However, only green chili pepper and beef prices have a positive and significant impact on inflation, while shallot, garlic, red chili peppers, and chicken prices do not show a significant effect. Implications: inflation-control policies in South Sulawesi should prioritize stabilizing the prices of green chili peppers and beef, as these are the most influential commodities. The study also highlights the importance of focusing on volatile food commodities in regional inflation management strategies. Originality: lies in its simultaneous analysis of multiple staple food commodities (shallot, garlic, red and green chili peppers, beef, and chicken) at the regional level of South Sulawesi.
