Abstract

This research aims to explore the theme of unifying Qur'an recitation by analyzing various sub-themes. The study focuses on linguistic analysis, comparative study of recitation styles, technological tools for analysis, and social and cultural factors. Through linguistic analysis, researchers examine the phonetics, intonation, and pronunciation of different recitation styles to identify patterns and variations. The comparative study compares and contrasts recitation styles to highlight similarities and differences, laying the groundwork for unification. Technological tools such as digital analysis and machine learning algorithms are employed to analyze large datasets of recitation recordings. These tools aid in quantifying differences and identifying commonalities. Additionally, the research explores the social and cultural factors that influence recitation practices, considering historical, geographical, and sociocultural contexts. By understanding these factors, researchers can develop strategies to unify Qur'an recitation while respecting and preserving the diversity of recitation traditions. The findings of this research contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in unifying Qur'an recitation and pave the way for a harmonized and universally accepted approach to the recitation of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This research examines the vital role of career centers in universities, specifically in facilitating and guiding students towards successful career paths after completing their college education. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involves counselors as informants and incorporates the perspectives of students who utilize the services of the career center. The findings emphasize the pivotal responsibility of universities in nurturing the career growth of their graduates. Consequently, universities collaborate closely with career centers to establish effective frameworks, plan comprehensive career development programs, and furnish students with crucial career-related information. The career center serves as a dynamic platform where students can actively engage in discussions pertaining to career exploration, access up-to-date job market intelligence, and acquire the essential skills demanded by prospective employers.

Abstract

This paper examines the philosophical contributions of Ibn Rushd (Averroes, 1126–1198 CE), focusing on how his tripartite theory of discourse: demonstrative, dialectical, and rhetorical, functions as an architecture for securing assent to religious truth across different classes of believers. These three modes of argument reconcile philosophical reason with Qur’anic revelation, without reducing either to the other. Drawing on Ibn Rushd's major works, particularly Faṣl al-Maqāl, Kashf ʿan Manāhij al-Adilla, Tahāfut al-Tahāfut, and his Commentaries on Aristotle, alongside contemporary scholarship, this study argues that Ibn Rushd's tripartite theory of discourse is not merely a taxonomy of communication styles but a structured epistemology, each mode of discourse i.e. rhetorical, dialectical, and demonstrative corresponds to a distinct cognitive capacity among believers, and yield legitimate, though unequally certain, assent to the same underlying truth. Rhetorical, dialectical, and demonstrative discourse yield practical assent, provisional belief, and certain knowledge respectively; yet all three, on Ibn Rushd's account, deliver genuine access to truth rather than three competing truths. What distinguishes them is not what is known but how securely, and on what grounds, it is held. Ibn Rushd further argues that philosophy and religion cannot genuinely contradict each other, because both are paths to truth, and truth cannot contradict itself.
