Abstract

This study discusses the importance of library collection development in supporting the education curriculum. The library functions as a source of information that provides relevant and quality library materials to meet the learning needs of students, teachers, and the school community. Effective collection development must be adjusted to the needs of the ever-evolving curriculum, including user needs analysis, library material selection, procurement, evaluation, and collection weeding. With up-to-date collections that are in accordance with the curriculum, libraries can increase students' interest in reading, support independent learning, and improve academic achievement. Therefore, libraries must continue to strive to update and manage their collections systematically to create a conducive learning environment and support better quality education. This study uses a library research method with a descriptive-qualitative approach to analyze literature related to library collection development in education. The results of the study indicate that good collection management that is relevant to the curriculum will increase the effectiveness of the learning process and students' academic achievement.

Abstract

Various learning methods are used by teachers in the educational process, one of which is the focus group discussion (FGD) method. If freely translated into Indonesian, FGD means "short collection discussion". This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. This method was chosen because it allows researchers to explore and analyze various concepts, theories, and findings from previous studies that are relevant to the topic of assessment in education. FGD not only functions as a reflective forum for teachers, but also as a means of data-based decision-making in the learning outcome assessment process. Thus, this method is one of the effective strategies in improving the quality of educational assessment at SDN 50 Kota Bengkulu. In the implementation of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) as a method of evaluating learning outcomes at SDN 50 Kota Bengkulu, there are a number of factors that support its success. However, on the other hand, there are also obstacles that need to be overcome so that FGD can run more optimally and have a significant impact on the quality of learning outcome assessment.

Abstract

This research demonstrates that the discovery learning approach effectively enhances Grade X students' abilities to analyze negotiation texts at SMAN 1 Suranenggala. The study arose from teachers' difficulties in managing group discussions and helping students understand text structures during lessons. The researchers sought to evaluate how discovery learning influences students' negotiation text analysis skills. Using a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-tests, the study compared two groups of 30 students each: X MIPA 1 received discovery learning instruction (experimental group), while X MIPA 2 used traditional discussion methods (control group). Data collection involved testing, observation, and documentation procedures. The findings indicated that students in the experimental group achieved an average post-test score of 76.16, compared to the control group which scored 70.16. The statistical examination produced a t-value of 3.516, surpassing the t-table of 2.001, indicating a notable distinction between the two groups. These results validate that discovery learning significantly improves students' proficiency in analyzing negotiation texts.

Abstract

This study examines the communication strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering Islamic morals at SDN 027 Renggeang, Limboro District, Polewali Mandar Regency. Moral education serves as the basis of all education and acts as a safeguard against the influence of modern developments and misleading foreign cultures. Character building is therefore crucial, as it not only shapes students’ behaviour for worldly success but also guides them towards happiness in the hereafter. Using a qualitative approach, the research produced descriptive data through observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis involved interpreting collected information and drawing conclusions. Findings show that Islamic Religious Education teachers apply the Qaulan Layyinan communication strategy, delivering messages gently, without judgment, reminding students of important values such as death, and addressing them by their preferred names. This method creates a respectful and nurturing environment, proving highly effective in guiding students to develop good morals both at school and in daily life. The study implies that schools should give greater attention to students as future generations of the nation. Students are encouraged to respect teachers, actively participate in religious activities, and remain disciplined in following school rules. Meanwhile, Islamic Religious Education teachers are advised to remain patient, gentle, and diligent in providing moral guidance to foster creative, disciplined, and noble individuals.

Abstract

Leadership styles significantly influence teacher attitudes, organizational climate, and school performance by shaping school culture positively or negatively. This descriptive-comparative study examined which leadership styles public school teachers in Minglanilla District 1, Cebu Province viewed most favorably, comparing six approaches: autocratic, democratic, transformational, transactional, servant, and laissez-faire. Using stratified random sampling, 100 respondents completed a validated survey. Descriptive statistics identified prevalent leadership frameworks, while inferential tests (Friedman Test and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with Bonferroni correction) compared differences across styles. Results showed teachers responded positively to transformational, servant, democratic, and charismatic leadership, while viewing autocratic and laissez-faire approaches less favorably. The Friedman Test revealed statistically significant differences in teachers' perceptions across all six leadership styles (p < .001). The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with Bonferroni correction showed significant differences (p < .001) between autocratic leadership and positively perceived styles. Findings suggest effective school leadership combines participatory and empowering methods, fostering collaboration, boosting morale, and supporting professional development. The study emphasizes that relational and inclusive leadership approaches are crucial in Philippine public schools for creating favorable organizational climates and aligning with educational reforms and global quality education goals. This research highlights the importance of leadership styles that engage teachers as partners rather than subordinates, promoting collaborative environments that enhance educational outcomes.

Abstract

The ecosystem of higher education and scholarly publications is fundamentally based on academic integrity and ethics.  However, as technology advances, this picture continues to shift significantly, especially with the advent of large language models (LLMs).  The objectives of this Systematic Literature Review (SLR) are to summarize the existing research on plagiarism behavior, evaluate the efficacy of institutional rules, and consider the unique ethical issues raised by the incorporation of generative AI.  The study examined 26 papers from the Scopus database that were published between 2020 and 2025 in accordance with PRISMA recommendations. The results imply that student plagiarism is mostly caused by ignorance and academic pressure.  In the scientific domain, however, it appears as a complicated issue including handwriting and duplicate publications.  Policies have been successful in combating classic types of plagiarism, but they have not been able to adjust to new ethical dangers.  A “digital erosion of intellectual integrity” is the biggest threat posed by generative AI.  Authorship and copyright concerns, as well as the failure of conventional detection technologies due to the fact that AI texts are frequently syntactically original but not conceptually original, are major obstacles.  The implication is that in order to handle this technology ethically, institutions must move from a concentration on detection to a pedagogy of AI ethics, creating roadmaps and integrated decision-making frameworks.

Abstract

Prompted by the consistently low critical thinking skills (levels 1–3) observed among vocational students, this study investigates how perceptions of Accurate Online accounting software and Project-Based Learning impact these skills. Less than 1% of students have achieved levels 4 and 5, and no students have achieved level 6 of thinking skills. This condition highlights the importance of enhancing critical thinking skills to improve students’ cognitive levels. A quantitative survey methodology was utilized in this investigation. The target population comprised 90 twelfth-grade students enrolled in accounting specialization tracks within DKI Jakarta, selected through saturated sampling. Data were gathered via questionnaire instruments, with subsequent analysis employing correlation techniques, determination coefficients, and multiple linear regression. Results demonstrated a robust positive correlation (r = 0.838) linking the independent variables which are student perceptions of Accurate Online software and Project-Based Learning experiences to critical thinking competencies. The analytical model accounted for 70.3% of outcome variability (R² = 0.703), with 29.7% attributable to external factors. Regression outcomes verified that these predictors exert a jointly significant influence (p = 0.000). Consequently, the evidence supports the conclusion that both Accurate Online accounting software utilization and Project-Based Learning implementation constitute significant contributors to enhanced critical thinking abilities among students. Therefore, schools are expected to provide learning facilities that utilize user-friendly accounting software such as Accurate Online and to consistently implement project-based learning, as these approaches can significantly contribute to the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is now shaping how institutions teach, counsel, connect, regulate and deliver services. Yet the relevant evidence is still scattered across education, counselling, disability support, urban governance, service systems, finance, taxation, tourism and supply-chain research. This fragmentation makes it difficult for scholars in pedagogy, humanities and social studies to identify what kinds of digital innovation are genuinely inclusive, socially useful and ethically defensible. This article addresses that problem through an integrative review of recent interdisciplinary scholarship on human-centred artificial intelligence, with particular attention to inclusive education and social development. The review synthesises 55 sources published between 2005 and 2026, with emphasis on work from the last decade and on emerging contributions by Islam and colleagues across education, social innovation and data-driven public systems. Three review questions guide the analysis: which themes dominate current scholarship, what transferable lessons can education draw from adjacent social sectors, and what framework can support responsible implementation. The findings show four recurring themes: pedagogical augmentation rather than replacement, digitally mediated inclusion and support, governance-oriented applications in public and organisational systems, and the rise of frontier infrastructures such as blockchain, IoT and quantum-enhanced computing. Across these themes, the strongest contributions come from designs that keep educators, counsellors, service professionals and communities in meaningful decision-making roles. The article concludes with a practical framework for IJPHSS readers that links purpose, participation, transparency, accessibility and contextual governance. The paper contributes a cross-sector map of AI-enabled innovation that is suitable for education, social studies and humanities-oriented policy discussion.

Abstract

Land registration is a fundamental instrument in the national agrarian legal system, intended to provide legal certainty and protection for land rights holders through the systematic collection, organisation, and maintenance of land data. This study examines legal issues in the administration of land affairs, particularly regarding the occurrence of duplicate certificates, which creates legal uncertainty for land rights holders. These issues relate to legal certainty, the responsibilities of the Land Office, and efforts to provide legal protection for aggrieved parties. This study employs an empirical legal method using a statutory approach and a case-based approach to examine the alignment between legal norms and on-the-ground practices. The findings indicate that the occurrence of duplicate certificates stems from weaknesses in the land administration process, such as suboptimal verification of physical and legal data, as well as overlapping ownership data. In practice, legal protection for rights holders has not yet fully provided certainty, so dispute resolution often depends on court rulings. Therefore, improvements to the quality of the land administration system and the strengthening of the Land Office’s responsibilities are required to prevent similar conflicts from arising in the future.
