Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to add GPS application on practicum module of microcontroller for autoimatic railway barrier application. The method of this research is experimental design by designing the equipment of railway barrier based on GPS coordinates to develop modul application of microcontroller practicum. Data were collected from observation and measurement; the function from each part of the tool was observed while the latitude and longitude coordinates of the point in some locations were measured by the made tool. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis for the function of each part of the tool and the measurement of coordinates were analyzed its erorr. The findings of the research showed that GPS could give the information about the position for both latitude and longitude coordinates if the accepted satelite signal met the standard requirement. Then, compared with the tools in market, the result from the made tool had error level of 0.82’ for latitude coordinate and 101,4’  for longitude coordinates.Keywords: GPS, microcontroller

Abstract

This study aimed for (1) developing the students’ productive questioning ability in the subject of Anatomy and Physiology and (2) improving the students’ productive cognitive learning. This classroom action study was conducted for the X grade students of the Department of Make up and Beauty Teraphy II. It was undertaken during the odd semester of the academic year of 2014/2015. The data was collected by participatory monitoring, questionnaires, and documentary study. The data resulted from the observation, the interviews, and the discussions with collaborators were analysed, identified, interpreted, validated, and inferred descriptively. The results revealed the students’ productive questioning ability development in the subject of Anatomy consists of 9 stages: the concept explanation, groups division, texts distribution, pair-check assignments, role shifts, answers validation, counseling and directing, correct answers validation, and rewards distribution. In the preliminary condition, the students’ questioning ability was scored and categorised as fair. In the second cycle, it achieved higher score and was categorised as good. It was proved by the higher frequency of questions and the more productive reading ability of the students. The students’ performance in the first cycle that was categorised as good and very good were 61.3% and 9.67% respectively. While in the second cycle, 12 students with the percentage of 38.70% were categorised as good and 15 students with the percentage of 48.30% were categorised as very good in productive questioning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) membangun keterampilan bertanya produktif siswa pada mata pelajaran anatomi dan fisiologi dan (2) mengembangkan cara berpikir siswa agar terampil secara produktif.  Penelitian ini menggunakan disain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, dengan setting kegiatan pembelajaran dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil bagi siswa kelas X Tata Kecantikan 2 tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pemantauan partisipatif, kuisioner, dan studi dokumentasi. Data hasil pengamatan, wawancara, diskusi dengan kolaborator dan dokumen dianalisis secara deskriptif, identifikasi, interprestasi, validasi dan inferensi. Hasil dari penelitian adalah membangun keterampilan bertanya produktif siswa pada mata pelajaran anatomi terdapat 9 tahapan antara lain: menjelaskan konsep, membagi siswa dalam kelompok, membagikan teks, melaksanakan pair check, siswa bertukar peran, mencocokkan jawaban, membimbing dan mengarahkan, mengecek jawaban benar, dan mendapatkan reward. Kondisi awal yang menunjukkan siswa ketika mengungkapkan pertanyaan secara singkat dan jelas memperoleh kriteria cukup. Pada akhir kegiatan (siklus 2) mengalami peningkatan memperoleh kriteria baik. Hal ini terlihat dari frekwensi siswa dalam bertanya mengalami peningkatan, dan mampu membaca secara produktif sesuai dengan teks/bacaan yang diberikan oleh guru. Indikator kinerja di siklus 1 memperoleh kriteria baik (61,3%) dan kriteria sangat baik (9,67%). Pada siklus 2 sebanyak 12 orang (38,70%) siswa memperoleh predikat baik, dan sebanyak 15 orang (48,30%) memperoleh predikat sangat baik dalam bertanya produktif.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to implement the Explicit Instruction Learning Model using trainer PLC media to improve the students’ learning achievement and motivation in assembling PLC system subject. The research methodology used classroom action research with XII TOI students of SMK Negeri 2 Depok as the sample. The research instruments used were formative tests and practice job sheets. The result of research showed that the average formative test in cycle I was 76,10 ; in cycle II was 80,32 and in cycle III was 83,77. Based on the findings, it means that the students ‘scores were higher than the provided minimum requirement score after using the Explicit Instruction Model using trainer PLC media in cycle I,II and III. The students’ learning motivation in cycle I, II and III were 67, 82 ,and 85 respectively. It can be concluded that the students’ learning motivation was improving from (≤ 75 ) to ( ≥ 75 ) at the second and third cycles.

Abstract

One of the key competencies of graduates majoring in Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (YSU) is able to plan buildings. CAD courses aim to train students to be able to pour the planning concepts into the picture. One of the obstacles faced in the course are concepts and pictures that created by the students often do not correspond to the standards used in the field. This study aims to develop a model of project-based learning so that the students’ pictures are more in line with the actual conditions in the field. This study was carried out through the stages as follows: (1) Pre test, (2) Planning of learning, (3) Implementation of the learning model of project-based learning, (4) monitoring and evaluation (5) Reflection and revision, (6) Implementation of learning in the next cycle, and (7) Evaluation of the learning outcomes. This study was conducted for four months in 2012 in the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning Education, Faculty of Engineering, YSU. The subjects of this study are the students who took the course of Computer Aided Design. The analysis of the data used descriptive qualitative and descriptive statistics. The results of this study were: (1) The implementation of project based learning model was proven to increase the learning process and the learning outcomes of students in the subject of CAD through the provision of buildings planning pictures tasks of school buildings based on the real conditions in the field. The task was delivered in every meeting and improved based on the feedback from their lecturers, (2) the learning model of project based learning will be easier to be implemented if it is accompanied by the model of peer tutoring and the learning model of PAIKEM.

Abstract

The learning media must be able to guide the students in every stage of learning to improve the students' activity in learning. Based on this problem, this study aims to: (1) design and implement the application of Mobile-Based Learning Based Learning for Computer Assembly Learning in Class X TKJ SMK N 2 Seririt. (2) determine the students’ motivation to Mobile Learning Based Guided Inquiry Application for Computer Assembly Lesson in Class X TKJ SMK N 2 Seririt. The method used in this study was the Waterfall model. Subjects in this study were the students of class X TKJ SMK N 2 Seririt. The results of this study are applications that use the Java programming language with the editor of Android Studio. All the features contained in this educational media work well. Students’ motivation using Mobile Based Guided Inquiry for Computer Assembly Lesson in Class X TKJ SMK N 2 Seririt is in a very good category

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Menghasilkan suatu model Simulasi Visual Lintasan Pahat mesin CNC TU-3A yang dapat menerima masukan dan bereaksi sebagaimana mesin CNC sesungguhnya, (2) Menguji model Simulasi Visual Lintasan Pahat mesin CNC TU-3A yang dikembangkan untuk mengetahui kemampuan merepresentasikan mesin CNC. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Obyek penelitian ini adalah rekayasa software CNC Virtual dengan program aplikasi Visual Basic 6. Subyek penelitian adalah ahli dan pengajar CNC, ahli teknologi pembelajaran, ahli media pendidikan, ahli multimedia, dan pengguna program (dosen CNC, guru CNC, mahasiswa, dan siswa SMK). Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan observasi yang dikembangkan peneliti, dan masukan dari teman sejawat pengampu mata kuliah Proses Pemesinan NC. Analisis data dilakukan dan disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) prototype Simulasi Visual Lintasan Pahat mesin CNC TU-3A yang dikembangkan berhasil diwujudkan, di buat dengan spesifikasi atau perencanaan awal pengembangan yang diinginkan, baik dari segi tampilan program, kontrol panel, dan animasi, (2) beberapa perintah pemrograman CNC sudah dapat dijalankan oleh media yang dikembangkan dengan baik, akan tetapi masih terdapat Bug pada kode-kode tertentu, sehingga masih memerlukan revisi dan pengembangan lebih lanjut, (3) media mampu menampilkan simulasi gerakan pahat meskipun sebatas pada kode program tertentu.

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of instructional video clips as the learning media in the training of sweet bread production for the members of Family Welfare Movement in Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. The data were analysed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that video clips implied the learning improvement of 32.5 categorized as significant which was analysed  from the scores of the pretest and the posttest. The data requirements tests using Liliefors indicated abnormal data thus the data were tested using a non-parametric test, namely Wilcoxon test resulting the score of 0,001. Therefore the decision was to accept H1 hypothesis suggesting a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest. Video clips were confirmed to be effective in the learning process based on the interval scale of effectiveness for the posttest score which achieved the score of 79 categorized as E or effective.

Abstract

This study explored the effect of using a Tadaluring microteaching learning model on mastering a number of basic teaching skills by prospective teachers. The Tadaluring microteaching learning model is a learning model which combines three forms of integrated training namely classroom practices, online practices, and offline practices. This study was classified as a quasi-experimental study with a non equivalent control group design. The sample was selected with a purpose-sampling technique. The data were analyzed using a t-test method. The results of the study were: (1) there is a significant effect of using a Tadaluring microteaching learning model on prospective teachers' basic teaching skills, (2) the average ability to master basic teaching skills of prospective teachers using the Tadaluring model was higher than 80 with a very effective interpretation used in microteaching learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran tutor teman sejawat berbasis internet dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar pada mata kuliah Fisika; (2) mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala yang terjadi dalam implementasi model pembelajaran tutor teman sejawat berbasis internet. Penelitian ini termasuk eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S-1 peserta mata kuliah Fisika di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan. Sampel penelitian, terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas A sebagai kelompok eksperimen, terdiri dari 35 mahasiswa, dan kelas B sebagai kelompok kontrol, dengan 34 mahasiswa. Instrumen menggunakan kuesioner dan soal-soal tugas. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, analisis komparasi dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran tutor teman sejawat berbasis internet terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan: motivasi mahasiswa untuk mengikuti kegiatan belajar dalam kelompok makin meningkat; dan tanggung jawab mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian tugas-tugas kelompok tinggi; (2) Kendala dalam implementasi model pembelajaran tutor teman sejawat berbasis internet tersebut adalah: (a) kelompok yang tidak solid akan menghambat peningkatan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa sehingga dibebaskan memilih sendiri kelompoknya; (b) model pembelajaran tutor teman sejawat berbasis internet menuntut tersedianya jaringan internet dengan kecepatan akses yang memadai.

Abstract

The dance assessment test still uses a manual system that tend to have frequent errors in the calculation for the final results thus it requires a system that accelerate the assessment process with an accurate result. This study aimed at: (1) designing an artificial neural network application based on visual studio for the dance assessment. (2) examining the performance of the artificial neural network application based on visual studio for the dance assessment. The design method consists of (1) system design (2) interface design (3) database design for artificial neural network system. (4) design of artificial neural network model. (5) programming (6) system testing. The design of visual studio artificial neural network application for the dance assessment has two stages: main program and supporting program. This research built a system by implementing visual studio and artificial neural network to assess dance examination which can give the final result to each participant directly. The application of the dance assessment can assess 3 types of dance with a training set of at least 10 pairs to undertake learning that produces the load to be used in the assessment. Besides assessing, this application can also delete, repair, and store data in the form of .xls. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the application operates effectively for determining the final load, data input and data storage.
