Abstract

This research explored the internalization of Ulul Albab values in research-based learning and assessed the differences in learning outcomes between the control and experimental groups using a qualitative approach. It was conducted in four classes at the Faculty of Economics at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Furthermore, the experimental and control classes used research-based and traditional learning methods, respectively. The results showed that students’ cognitive abilities in the experimental group were higher than in the control group. Most students strongly agreed that research-based learning could internalize Ulul Albab values. As a result of the research-based learning approach, one published article in a Google Scholar-indexed journal and a collection of research papers was produced in book format. However, limitations of this research included the relatively brief examination period and disparate outcomes between the control and experimental groups. Further research should be conducted on different classes with longer periods and different learning models while maintaining the output demand of a published article.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce an interactive e-modules for spreadsheet subjects. This research uses a research and development approach by adopting the Borg and Gall development model. The research subjects were students of class X Accounting and Finance. The results show that the flipbook-based interactive e-module is very good to use, with validation test results for media experts at 81.3%, material experts at 88%, and students at 82.8%. Apart from that, there is a significant difference in the use of interactive e-modules, as seen by an increase in the total mean score of the posttest which is higher than the pretest. Therefore, the existence of a flipbook-based e-module as a learning media is very effective and suitable for use in supporting the spreadsheet learning process.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of the Islamic values of honesty (siddiq) and shame (haya’) on organizational financial management through a descriptive qualitative approach. Financial management is pivotal to an organization’s operations, and incorporating Islamic values can enhance integrity and transparency in financial practices. This paper investigates how these values influence financial management by analyzing in-depth interviews with organizational board members responsible for finance. Findings reveal that honesty is integral to financial transparency and accuracy, aligning with the concept of integrity in organizational culture. Shame serves as an ethical mechanism to prevent fraudulent behavior, driven by a strong sense of moral and spiritual accountability. The study underscores that a culture of honesty and shame fosters responsible financial management, though challenges such as external pressures and lack of oversight may undermine these values. The research contributes to understanding how Islamic ethical principles can reinforce positive financial practices within organizations
