Abstract

ABSTRACT This aims of the study were to determine the species of fungi contaminated chicken broiler consentrate and to find out the inhibition of crude extract's leaves of caliandra. The samples were taken in Selat, Karangasem. Maceration method was conducted to extracted leaves of caliandra, disk diffusion agar method was conducted to find out the inhibition of crude extract leaves of caliandra. Result showed that there were six types of fungi on chichken broiler consentrate such as Aspergilus flavus, Aspergilus niger, Aspergillus fumigatus, Penicillium brevicompactum, Penicillium candidum dan Trichoderma viridae. The result also showed that 100.000 ppm extract concentrate inhibit Aspergillus flavus growth on 12.72 ± 0,27 mm. Keywords : fungi, inhibition strength, crude extract’s, caliandra, Aspergillus flavus

Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of traditional medicines in human therapies has been claimed to be much safer than that of synthetic medicines with many negative side effects. Pletekan plant (Ruellia tuberosa L.) has been used empirically for years as an antidiabetic as its leaves contain poly phenolic compounds with the ability to stimulate beta cells of the pancreas so that its capability to produce insulin improved. The main objective of our research was to identify active compounds contained in Ruellia tuberosa L. leaves extracted with ethanol. Fractionation of these active compounds was conducted by applying column and thin layer chromatography using Dichlorometan and Ethylacetat with a ratio of 6:3 as eluent. Each active compound resulted from fractionation was identified using GC-MS analysis. The results showed that four active compounds (Hexadecanamide, 9-Octadecenamide, (Z), Octadecenamide and 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid were identified in this analysis. Keywords: Ruellia tuberosa L., identification of active compounds.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was aimed to analyzing the impact of 7 days arobic exercise in elevating rat cardiac muscle myoglobin. Experimental in vivo study on 20 male Wistar rat induced by 20m/ min treadmill aerobic exercise for 1, 3 and 7 days. Research was done in Animal house and protein laboratory, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, FK UI and laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biology Department FMIPA UNJ for 10 months. Myoglobin concentration was analyzed by spectrofotometry techique based on myoglobin Soret absorbance in ?503nm.  Myoglobin protein expression was assesed with Western blot technique. Standard curve measurement on myoglobin content with horse myoglobin shown that there was an increase on the absorbance value. The result  showedanthat the standar curve was able to be used as standard curve to calculate myoglobin concentration on cardiac muscle within 503 nm. Spectrophotometry myoglobin concentration measurement on Soret absorbance has shown increasing concentration on myoglobin since the first treatment day. Mean myoglobin concentration value has increased  on the 3rd and 7th day, with highest value on the 7th treatment day (0,0656 ± 0,0001). Western blot analysis showed ng on darker band on treatment group compared   on  to control. When aerobic exercise was given longer, the band shown darker means that myglobin content was higher. Myoglobin concentration can be measured by spectrophotometry on 503 nm. Aerobic physical exercise increased myoglobin on rat cardiac muscle since the first treatment day and  still increase oduring the treatment day. Highest level was shown on the 7th treatment day. Keywords : myoglobin, cardiac, muscle, exercise, rat

Abstract

ABSTRCT         Determine food intake growth as it relates to the energy content in food. Protein plays an important role in the process of body growth, production and reproduction. This study aims to determine the weight gain, the number of red blood cells (tbsp), and the weight of testis and epididymis as criteria for the growth and development of the pups after by steeping the leaves of Moringa. This study uses a randomized complete block design (RAK) and divided into 4 groups and each group consisted of 10 pups male rats, namely; the test group 0 (K0 / control)) given aquadem, the test group 1 (K1) is given steeping the leaves of Moringa with a dose of 50mg / kg, the test group 2 (K2) is given steeping the leaves of Moringa with a dose of 75 mg / kg, the test group 3 ( K3) Moringa leaves steeping given at a dose of 100 mg / kg. Data results of the weight, the number of red blood cells, and weight of testis and epididymis were analyzed by statistical LSD. The results of this study showed steeping the leaves of Moringa provided can improve the weight and the number of red blood cells (tbsp) mice, whereas the weight of testis and epididymis are not increased significantly p = 0.550.Keywords: moringa leaves, dose, weight, number of tablespoons, testis and epididymis

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aimed to characterize mango cultivars nformation mango cultivars.   The research was held in Rimba Jaya Village, Merauke District, Merauke Regency for five months. The methodology was descriptive by purposive sampling. The samples were observed based on plant origin, stem colour, girth, leaf shape, leaf size, petiole length, fruit size, fruit flesh thickness, fruit flesh colour, fruit flavor, fruit scent, fruit weight and ripe fruit colour, etc. The primary data were retrieved with measuring and observing the mango plant samples. The result indicated that there are 16 accessions of mangoes. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know whether the use of Biomol and Tea Compost solution fermented by Trichoderma spp. can increase the growth and development of soybean plants in dry land. The experiment was conducted in the field and was arranged according to a Split Plot Design with the main plot is Tea Compost Solution with 4 levels of treatment, i.e. at the rate of 0, 5, 10, or 15 liters/plot and the subplot is Biomol solution with 4 levels of treatment, i.e. 0, 5, 10, or 15 liters/plot. The treatments were repeated three times. The results showed that the use of the Biomol at the rate of 15 liters/plot and Tea Compost at the of 15 liters/plot can increase the growth and development of soybean plants mainly on plant height. In addition, Biomol and Tea Compost solution applied to soybean can  increase the weight of the wet and the dry berangkasan Keywords: Biomol, Tea Compost, Soybean, Trichoderma spp.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The increasing volume of garbage of Balinese Hindu’s offering is still a problem. The garbage, when it is decomposed however could be useful for fertilized. This organic litter can be decomposed in biopore. This research ainied to investigated the decomposition rate of C. nucifera and O. tigillarium litter in biopores. This research was conducted between February and July 2015. Garbage were collected from temples in Jembrana city and treated at Dangin Tukadaya village, Jembrana Distric. Sampels were arranged in a Factorial Randomized Blocked Sampling Design 2 factors i.e: treatments and times (1, 2, 3, 4 and 23 weeks). The result showed that decomposition rate 98,63% of cocos litter and 99,23% of oncosperma litter were decomposed in biopore on week 23 compared to 89,06% of cocos and 75,76 % of oncosperma litter in control. Decomposition mean rate is 9,33 %/week of cocos litter and 9,64 %/week of oncosperma litter were decomposed in biopore but in control is 7,85 %/week of cocos and 8,07 %/week of oncosperma litter. Total cocos and oncosperma litter decomposition took about 23,3 and 23,2 weeks in biopore but for control 25,8 and 30,4 weeks The number of millipedes (Harpaphe haydeniana) as decomposer was found higher compared to other decomposers such as earth worms and molusca. Keywords: decomposition, biopore, decomposer, bali, cocos litter, oncosperma litter
