Abstract

For 30 years the practice of multicultural ideology is a ‘success story’ in European migrant countries in managing multicultural societies, but in the last 10 years there has been a very heated debate among governments, politicians, and people who consider that this ideology has failed to unite (integration) immigrants, especially Muslim minorities in the mainstream of European way of life. The debate was triggered by the rise of the radical Islamic movement marked by the events of September 11, 2001 at the WTC New York, the bombing at the London Railway Station on July 7, 2005, a caricature of insulting Prophet Muhammad in Charlie Hebdo magazine in France, the Brussels case in 2016, terrorist attacks in Germany, and so on. The ideological failure factor is considered not only rooted in Western countries’ fear of the rise of militant groups that discredit the practice of multiculturalism, but also fosters Huntington’s thesis on the ‘clash of civilizations’ between Islam and the West. Islamic civilization is considered as an internal enemy against Western civilization (internal enemy). Whether we realize it or not, the above theory has a social political impact. This thesis has become a seed for the growth of the institutionalization of Islamophobia in the midst of society aimed directly at Muslims. To answer the above fear, the question arises, whether the application of the multiculturalism ideology will continue or return to the old concept of ‘monoculturaslime’ which is racist and conservative? In this case there are two opinions between rejecting and agreeing that need to be negotiated, in addition to the Muslims themselves seeking a form of Islam that is in accordance with European values (Euro-Islamic Norm) as is the case with the Archipelago Islam in Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper discusses the trials of life which in the Qur’an are called slander. The dominant meaning of slander is a troublesome ordeal. Bad trials here tend to be collective trials rather than individuals. That is, this word is more often used by a certain group in this case are infidels to attack other groups, namely Muslims. This is because many verses about libel fall during the period of makkiyah. Therefore, the meaning of slander that often appears in the Qur’an is chaos, persecution, assault, murder, kufr, expropriation of wealth and the like. Defamation as a test of one's faith is a sunnatullah that cannot be rejected or avoided by anyone. The quality of one's faith will be seen if it has been faced with various difficulties. To get comprehensive results from this discussion, the authors use the thematic method. This method tries to raise various issues and concepts of the Qur’an which ultimately gain an understanding that refers to a unified view of nature and life.

Abstract

This study will begin by discussing the history of the Qur?an, the Qur?an as a revelation, the history of the writing of the Qur?an and the content of the discussion of the Qur?an. By describing what the initial scriptures were written about and when the general codification of the Koran was agreed upon became the main global reference, it could be understood by educated people, especially the laity. As we already know that the Koran in general is initially a complex thing, meaning that the process of occurrence requires stages that are not instantaneous. Various concepts related to the scriptures, such as ?God, Angels, Revelations, Prophets,? are often understood as taken forgranted. Likewise the process of revelation of the Qur?an, such as narration, writing, gathering and opening, is often not a concern. This paper intends to discuss the Qur?an from a Historical-Theological perspective. Other things accepted in dogma, such as God's word, verse structure, spelling, and structure of the text, are questioned again by positioning in the historical context at the time the revelation was revealed and then written. The emphasis of this paper is on the process of sacralization of the Koran having a long journey and intersecting with the historical events of the Muslims between the aural and the codification of ?Uthm?n?. Briefly, outlining the history of revelation and writing of the Koran becomes a ?holy book? for religious communities. The process of sacralization of the "holy book" cannot be separated from the increasingly mature written tradition of human life that is complex. But does not deny the tradition of previous writings, such as the Bible or books of the Jews and Christians. Because the tradition of writing al-Qur?an is imitating from previous books. Is that right?.

Abstract

This article wants to show that science based on positivism contains many weaknesses, which are proven by critics of positivism from Western philosophers, such as Karl Popper, Thomas Kuhn, Feyerabend and Rorty. The reaction of these figures placed them in a post-positivism flow, a movement of resistance to positivism in various domains ranging from ontology, epistemology to methodology. Thus, Islam can be an alternative offer to develop science.

Abstract

Gender is not a factor that determines a person’s position in the academic/scientific, socio-cultural or socio-religious world, actions or achievements in academic/scientific, socio-cultural or socio-religious life are what determine a person’s position, male or female. The Prophet’s expression: “Appearance (ṣuar), wealth (al-māl) is not the basis for Allah’s judgment, but it is your heart (qulūb) and deeds (a’māl) that are the basis of Allah’s judgment.” (HR. Muslim), Hadith is not just a wise sentence that adorns Islamic religious literature and becomes a formal legal expression that is believed to be true, but the sentence is a spirit, inspiration and motivation for every Muslim to be able to do the best for himself. based on the belief that the whole journey of his life is worship (I did not create the jinn and humans except to worship Me, (al-Dzāriyāt [51]: 56). In hadith literature and hadith science it has been proven that women position themselves at the peak of achievement. the highest that they can achieve, because gender position is not a consideration for rejection or acceptance of a narration of hadith. The quality of a narrator is the main consideration. If there is a contradiction between the narration of a woman and the narration of a man, then the consideration is professionalism and proportionality in the hadith that was reported narrate. This attitude of professionalism has existed since the time of the Prophet Muhammad. and even get support from the teachings of Islam formally.
