Agribusiness Journal is a biannual and peer review journal published since June 1, 2007 by Study Program of Agribusiness, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Previously it has the name of Jurnal Agribisnis. Since 2017, it has been published with the name of Agribusiness Journal according to the registration name from LIPI (ISSN 1979-0058). The journal is in Bahasa publishing 2 issues per year on June and December. The journal covers all aspects of agribusiness and rural development, including agricultural economics and natural resource, business and entrepreneurship, agricultural management, agricultural marketing, consumer behavior, farmer’s community empowerment, agricultural communication, agricultural institution and human resource, economics of halal food, agricultural finance, agricultural policy, international trade, agro-technology, and food security.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports to Malaysia. Multiple linear regression and ordinary least squares (OLS) were employed to analyze time series of data from 2005 until 2013. Based on the analysis, it is obtained that factors that significantly effect the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports to Malaysia with a significance level (α) five percent are the real prices of Indonesian cocoa exports to Malaysia and the real prices of cocoa beans the international market.

Abstract

Tea is an Indonesian excellent product that has been recognized worldwide. Indonesia is the seventh best tea producer which have international market potential.Therefore Tea Indonesia is expected to take advantage on existing opportunities from downstream industry of tea. The one of stated-owned plantation company who have downstream industry of tea is PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII. Walini’s tea is a one famous brand product for this company. The development downstream industry of tea PTPN VIII is faced with yet achieved the expected sales. Amount of cost operational marketing and sales are indicated of operational risk. The objective of this study is strategy handling of marketing operational risk Walini Green tea bag product in downstream industry of tea PTPN VIII. Identification risk is first step to know the problem of marketing operational in downstream industry of tea PTPN VIII. By using Z-Score and Value at Risk (VAR) metode, it be showed the result of probability and impact of marketing operational risk. Preventif and mitigation strategy can be handling this company to growth up the expected sales.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) identify factors that affect the import of rice in Indonesia 2) analyze the influence of these factors on imports of rice in Indonesia. The data used in this research are time series data from 1994 to 2013 from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Commerce, National Logistics Agency (Bulog), and Bank Indonesia. Multiple linear regression through SPSS software version 21 was employed to analyze the data. The test results together indicated the variables of productions, consumptions, stocks of rice, domestic rice prices, international rice prices and the rupiah against the US dollar affect the imports of rice in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze effects of marketing mixes on consumer loyalties. A total of 100 respondents drawn from consumers who never consumed or consumed soy sauce ABC at least once during the last year were interviewed. Descriptive analyses and methods Path Analyses were used to analyze the relationship between the independent variables, namely products, prices, places, and promotions on the dependent variable, customer loyalties (Y2) through mediating variables or intermediate variables, consumer behaviors (Y1). Results indicated that the variables of products, prices, places, and promotions jointly had influences on consumer behaviors while partial test showed that variables of product and promotion had direct effects on consumer loyalties, and variables of price and place did not have any influences directly but through intermediary variables namely consumer behaviors.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is the potential for development, both in number and quality of entrepreneurship itself. Indonesia faces the reality that the number of entrepreneurs is still small, at around 1,65% (Source: Berita Kementrian Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah, March 2015)), whereas it takes at least 2% of entrepreneurs to enable a prosperous country.This research was conducted by incorporating three factors that drive an action (Theory of Planned Behavior) which implemented as a supporting factor of entrepreneurship action; attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. The type of method used a quantitative analysis. Data was collected through questionnaires and documentation. Analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and using Likert scale for measurement. The population was a student of Agribusiness UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta from 2008, 2009, 2010,2011, and 2012. The sampling is using proportionate stratified random sampling. There are 80 respondents.This research has R square = 0,412. The results of the study showed: (1) attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control is influencing simultaneously to encourage students for being an entrepreneur (p < 0,05) (2) There was a positive influence (partially) in each factors: attitude (p < 0,05), subjective norms (p < 0,05), and perceived behavioral control (p < 0,05) to affect students in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Recently, the needs and desires of consumers seem to be more diverse. It is caused by the various lifestyle of consumers. Therefore, marketers need to make a classification of consumers or which is called a market segmentation. Market segmentation is the activity for grouping heterogeneous market into smaller homogeneous market in order to form a product preference to the needs of significant market segments. Conventional segmentation tool, such as demographic segmentation is less effective in predicting consumer because of what is often called market fragmentation. Demographic variable is not enough to recognize consumers because marketers need to know the lifestyle of consumers. The concept of lifestyle segmentation as a result of psychographic segmentation group began to develop in the 1970s. Analysis of consumer lifestyle has become a very popular tool in research in the field of marketing.In 1993, the concept of new lifestyle-related products to a category of its achievement with cognitive-deductive system developed by Brunso, Grunert, and Bisp was begun from Market-Based Productand Process Development in Danish (MAPP) research group di Arhuss School ofBusiness.They applied to food by developing an approach to food-related lifestyle (FRL), which was focused as the concept of lifestyle approach to explore market segments related to food generally.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine what factors affect the realization of credits from Kodanua Cooperative, (2) determine how much these factors affect the realization of credits, and (3) determine whether together these factors have influences on the realization of credits. This research was conducted in Kodanua Cooperative, Latumenten West Jakarta. A number of 102 respondents who had business in the field of agribusiness and actively borrowed money in the cooperative was interviwed . Data processing was done by using multiple linear regression through SPSS 21. The result showed that (1) the factors that affect the realization of credits are characters, capacities, capitals, conditions, and collaterals, (2) characters affect credits at the confidence level of 75%, capacities affect at the 90% confidence level, capitals affect at the 99% confidence level, conditions affect at the 90% confidence level, and guarantees affects at the 99% confidence level, and (3) these factors jointly affect credits at 95% confidence level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) to identify and to analyze the factors that influence milk production of dairy cattles, and (2) to determine the elasticity of milk production. This research was conducted at the Dairy cattle group KANIA, Bogor. Data were obtained from interviews and questionnaires with cattle ranchers. Multiple linear regression models and elasticity calculations were employed to analyze the data with the Excel 2007 and software for Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 16. Results of the analysis revealed that the factors affecting milk production is labor, forages, and feed concentrates. The result of the calculation of the elasticity indicated that all production variables are elastic variables.

Abstract

Dari kebijakan Pemerintah dan surat Al-Qur’an An-Nahl ayat 68 beternak lebah sangat dianjurkan dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Salah satu Salah satu lebah yang menjanjikan dan dapat dibudidayakan yaitu lebah Heterotrigona itama. Lebah tanpa sengat ini sangat tidak mengganggu lingkungan sekitar atau masyarakat, selain itu produk yang memiliki khasiat atau manfaat yang cukup banyak, juga dapat menghasilkan produk dengan harga yang jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan lebah lain, Rumah Kompos UIN Jakarta merupakan tempat objek untuk mengembangkan penelitian dan usaha yang memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar UIN Jakarta.Metode dasar penelitian ini adalah metode Tabulasi Deskriptif dengan menghitung Total Cost (TC), penerimaan (R), keuntungan (π), Profitabilitas, Titik Impas (BEP), Efisiensi Biaya (R/C Ratio) dan Payback Period. Waktu penelitian dari November 2016 sampai februari 2017.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Budidaya lebah Heterotrigona itama ini mengeluarkan biaya tetap sebesar Rp. 20.326.500,- dan biaya Variabel sebesar Rp. 1.282.100,- sehingga mengeluarkan biaya total sebesar Rp. 21.608.600,-. Jumlah penerimaan budidaya lebah Heterotrigona itama di Rumah Kompos UIN Jakarta sebesar Rp. 64.850.000,- dengan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 43.241.400,-. Nilai persentase keuntungan profitabilitas sebesar 200,11% dengan efisiensi biaya sebesar  3 > 1, nilai BEP volume pada produk madu sebesar 48 botol per tahun, produk propolis sebesar 24 botol per tahun dan produk bee pollen sebesar 41 botol per tahun dengan masing-masing BEP harga produk sebesar Rp. 109.688,- serta nilai payback period selama 1,37 tahun atau 1 tahun 4 bulan 13 hari.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka disarankan untuk mengoptimalkan pakan bunga disekitar lingkungan area budidaya sehingga lebah Heterotrigona itama menghasilkan madu dan bee pollen lebih banyak sebab diarea Rumah Kompos UIN Jakarta lebih banyak tumbuhan yang menghasilkan getah (resin). Membuat link web untuk pemasaran produk madu, propolis dan bee pollen untuk meningkatkan jumlah konsumen untuk membeli produk madu, propolis dan bee pollen di Rumah Kompos UIN Jakarta. Sebab meningkatnya konsumen sama dengan meningkatnya penerimaan dan pendapatan yang diperoleh.
