Abstract

The purpose of the research is to determine the company’s financial performance as a result of the impact of the merger on the Economic Value Added (EVA) and Market Value Added (MVA). The type of research which used is event study with a quantitative approach to the three companies on the BEI were merged in 2011, namely PT Matahari Department Store, Tbk, PT Island Concepts Indonesia, Tbk, dan PT Prasidha Aneka Niaga, Tbk. The impact of the companies merged in 2011 when assessed by using EVA generally is positive and fluctuating except for PT Island Concepts Indonesia, Tbk which is negative. Whereas if that is assessed by using MVA generally is positive and fluctuating except for PT Prasidha Aneka Niaga, Tbk which is negative. That shows that the overall of the company’s financial performance is in good condition which means that the company is able to create added economic value to the company and the market as a result of the impact of the merger. Keywords: Merger, EVA, MVA Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak merger terhadap Economic Value Added (EVA) dan Market Value Added (MVA). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah event study dengan pendekatan kuantitatif pada 3 perusahaan di BEI yang melakukan merger tahun 2011, yaitu PT Matahari Department Store, Tbk, PT Island Concepts Indonesia, Tbk, dan PT Prasidha Aneka Niaga, Tbk. Dampak perusahaan yang melakukan merger tahun 2011 jika dinilai dengan menggunakan EVA secara umum bernilai positif dan fluktuatif, kecuali PT Island Concepts Indonesia, Tbk yang bernilai negatif. Sedangkan jika diukur dengan MVA secara umum bernilai positif dan fluktuatif kecuali PT Prasidha Aneka Niaga, Tbk yang bernilai negatif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kinerja keuangan perusahaan berada dalam kondisi baik karena perusahaan mampu menciptakan nilai tambah ekonomis pada perusahaan dan pasar akibat dampak merger. Abstract

This study describes the connection between communication strategies of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and private companies in Indonesia with its local culture. Contructivism was applied to explore qualitative data, involving the practitioners from BUMN and private companies. The research finds two propositions, i.e. the more local wisdoms are understood, the easier to create communication strategy of public relations that builds good relations with the public; communication strategy based on local wisdoms is used by both BUMN and private companies. The research contributes to enrich public relations study within Indonesian local perspectives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze effects of marketing mixes on consumer loyalties. A total of 100 respondents drawn from consumers who never consumed or consumed soy sauce ABC at least once during the last year were interviewed. Descriptive analyses and methods Path Analyses were used to analyze the relationship between the independent variables, namely products, prices, places, and promotions on the dependent variable, customer loyalties (Y2) through mediating variables or intermediate variables, consumer behaviors (Y1). Results indicated that the variables of products, prices, places, and promotions jointly had influences on consumer behaviors while partial test showed that variables of product and promotion had direct effects on consumer loyalties, and variables of price and place did not have any influences directly but through intermediary variables namely consumer behaviors.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mengetahui stabilitas fenotipe dan kontribusi komponen hasil pada keragaman hasil,maka dilakukan percobaan multilokasi terhadap 11 galur padi sawah di 20 lokasi menggunakanrancangan acak kelompok dengan tiga ulangan. Uji stabilitas menggunakan metode non-parametrikkarena lebih mudah diinterpretasi serta tidak memerlukan banyak asumsi sebagaimana parametrik.Hasil pengujian nilai tengah menunjukkan bahwa genotipe 4, 5, 7 dan 11 memiliki rata-rata dayahasil tertinggi dibanding yang lain, namun perbedaannya tidak signifikan dengan genotype 1, 3 dan9. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada stabilitas rangking dari 11 genotipe yang diamati, danyang paling stabil adalah genotipe 3, diikuti oleh genotipe 2, 8, dan 1. Berat 1000 butir memiliki efekyang kecil terhadap ketidakstabilan hasil dan dapat dikompensasi dengan komponen lain (kovariannegatif).

Pekalongan City is one of the areas vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, especially in the form of floods and tidal floods. Exposure is the degree, duration and/or extent of the impact of a system or subject's contact with the disturbance. This study used a spatial model of the exposure index method. Data obtained from primary data (questionnaire surveys, field observations, and geospatial data analysis) and secondary data (statistical data from city and district governments and sub-district / village offices). The results of the exposure index modeling are classified into five classes with very high, high, medium, low, and very low. The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial model of exposure index in the coastal areas of the city and regency of Pekalongan and the areas included in the Kupang River Basin. This study produces the distribution of the exposure index in the city and regency of Pekalongan which shows that the exposure index is dominated by high categories with a proportion value of 49%.

Abstract

Traditional markets are a place for products of basic community needs produced by economic actors that occur, small or even micro events, most of which are products from agriculture or plantations. Currently, modern shops are also increasing, coupled with the increasing trend of public spending, not all products produced from agriculture can be sold in modern shops, therefore traditional markets become a means of selling products that have been produced by farmers. Humans have several needs in life, one of which is the need for the market as a means of support in meeting their daily needs. This study aims to empirically examine product price variables and cultural factors that influence people's buying interest in Pasar Baru, Kencong District. This study uses a quantitative research approach with the type of survey research. Sampling used the Nonrobability Sampling technique which was Incidental Sampling, where the research sample was all people who had shopped at Pasar Baru Kencong twice or more, determining the number of samples using the Lemeshow formula collecting 100 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire method with a Likert Scale research instrument. Data analysis with validity and reliability tests, data testing with t test (partial), F test (simultaneous), R2 test (coefficient of determination) and multiple linear regression with the help of the Statistical Package for the Sciences (SPSS) software version 16. This study concludes that product prices have a significant effect on people's buying interest in Pasar Baru, Kencong District with a t-test value of 0.011 <0.05 and a t-count value of 2.589 > ttable 1.980. The results of the t-test also show that cultural factors have a significant effect on people's buying interest with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 and a tcount value of 4.041 <ttable 1.980. The results of the F test show that product prices and cultural factors simultaneously have a significant effect on people's buying interest with a significant value of 0.000 0.05 with an Fcount value of 27.957 > Ftable 3.11.

Abstract

The general objective of implementing this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of coastal communities, especially women fishermen about fish processing techniques, while the specific objectives are: (1) Increasing the knowledge and skills of women fishermen about technical, socio-economic and other aspects of fishery products processing business; (2) Showing the public about good, healthy, and environmentally friendly fish processing techniques and (3) Establishing relationships between universities, especially Mataram University and the community. The implementation of the activities is carried out using an adult education approach (andragogy) which is carried out through counseling and demonstrations to partner groups. The results of the activity show that: (1) This community service activity has been able to improve the knowledge and skills of partner groups, especially those related to: (a) technical, socio-economic and other aspects of fishery product processing (fish processing), (b) good, healthy, and environmentally friendly fishery product processing techniques; and (c) management capability of coastal community groups, especially women fishers processing fishery products in an effort to take advantage of existing potentials; and (2) This community service activity also encourages intensive communication as reciprocity between universities in this case the Faculty of Agriculture, UNRAM and coastal communities, especially women who are members of the fishermen's group processing fishery products (fish farmers in Labuhan Lombok Village, Lombok). Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the value of cash waqf as an instrument of Islamic economic development. Cash waqf according to the report of the Indonesian Waqf Agency has a very significant potential every year. This is one of the opportunities, the spread of money investment in productive sectors such as the halal business sectors, the real sector, to the halal sector which currently has very crucial prospects. The research uses secondary data in describing the discussion, so the approach used is a normative juridical approach. Thus the author uses a descriptive qualitative method in this article. The results of the study indicate that cash waqf funds currently tend to be channeled to the halal investment sector, where the proceeds from these investments are channeled to small businesses, and the world of education. In this case, cash waqf also indirectly involves financial institutions such as Islamic banking as nadzir which plays an important role in distributing cash waqf funds. It can be seen that cash waqf is able to play a role in developing the Islamic economy. Keyword: Waqf, Money Waqf, Islamic Economic.

Abstract

The law is a reference in the order of work, its inherent nature makes a person feel bad if he violates it. Of course, each rule contains specific aims and objectives. Islam recognizes this goal by the name maqashid al-shari'ah. Namely an implied meaning in the rules of Shari'a with five formulations, such as protecting religion, soul, mind, property and offspring. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is conducted with the purpose of: To know the effect ofaccounting information (Not Ambiguous, Progress and Advantages to theescalation of commitment. Population used in this research are Student of Facultyof Economics & Business of Islamic University of Malang and University ofMuhammadiyah Malang who have taken the course of Accounting InformationSystem. The sample selection in this research is using proportional randomsampling. Based on the criteria used there are 240 respondents who weresampled. The method used in this research is multiple linear regression method.Based on the results of research can be taken some conclusions are: 1) t resultsindicate that unambiguous variables affect the escalation of commitment, 2) thevariable progress affect the escalation of commitment, 3) profit variables affectthe escalation of commitment, and 4) F results indicate that the variableambiguity, progress, and profits affect the escalation of commitment.Keywords: Unambiguous, progress, profit and commitment escalation.
