The journal is in Bahasa publishing 2 issues per year on June and December. The journal covers all aspects of agribusiness and rural development, including agricultural economics and natural resource, business and entrepreneurship, agricultural management, agricultural marketing, consumer behavior, farmer’s community empowerment, agricultural communication, agricultural institution and human resource, economics of halal food, agricultural finance, agricultural policy, international trade, agro-technology, and food security.

Abstract

Batik industry is one of the industries that produces wastewater which contains harmful chemicals. In order to maintain the quality of the environment, it is necessary to have a wastewater management system. The region which has conducted the comunal waste management system is Kampoeng Batik Laweyan. However, this effort of waste management system has not optimal yet. The purpose of this paper is to analyze wastewater management system in Kampoeng Batik Laweyan. The approach of this paper is a quantitative approach, using mix-metode. The analysis of the wastewater management system has been done by assesing 4 aspects such as technical aspect, managerial aspect, economic aspect, and environmental aspect. The wastewater management system has provided good results in technical dan managerial aspects only. For the economic and the environment aspects need to be upgraded since they have not shown any important improvements. Through this paper it is expected to create a substantial improvement in economic and environmental aspects.Keyword: Batik waste, Laweyan, management, wastewater, WWTP.

Abstract

Marketing is a significant point in agriculture. Without marketing, products that have been resulted may be difficult to sale. Marketing is not just a method to sell products as many as possible for benefits, but it is also the way to keep the existence of produced products on the market. The company also needs to communicate the product and the company itself to the customers, especially in the situation of fierce competition. One of the marketing successes is influenced by the promotions. Many products are not successful in the market because of the promotions failure although in terms of quality are well-established if compared with the other products (simamora, 2003: 284). Promotion program that currently favored by business is by using social media as a way to promote their products especially in companies with low budget. One of companies that uses social media to promote the products is Royal Sandwich. Royal Sandwich is one of the UKM (small and medium enterprises) in the field of convenience food. The aims of this study are: 1) Recognizing various promotion conducted by the Royal Sandwich. 2) Analyzing the effectiveness of promotion media of the fried sandwich product by Royal Sandwich based on the impact of communication. 3) Analyzing the effectiveness of promotion media of the fried sandwich product by Royal Sandwich based on the impact of sale.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk : Melakukan Analisis kelayakan finansial untuk usaha UMKM Dodol Mangga di Indramayu. Sebagai buah tropis, mangga mempunyai prospek cukup cerah, masyarakat Indonesia menyukai buah ini sehingga konsumsi buah mangga untuk pasaran lokal cukup tinggi. Pengembangan UMKM memiliki prospek yang cukup baik, mengingat potensi pasarnya sangat mendukung. Salah satunya ialah UMKM Dodol Mangga sebagai pelaku usaha pengolahan dodol mangga. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan biaya usaha dan mengungkapkan finansial UMKM pengolahan dodol mangga. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Indramayu yang merupakan salah satu penghasil mangga terbesar di Jawa Barat. Alat analisis yang digunkan yaitu analisis investasi. Pengolahan data menggunakan matriks IFE menghasilkan faktor yang menjadi kekuatan utama dari UMKM Dodol Mangga Barokah, yaitu kualitas produk yang ditawarkan dengan total skor 0,36, dan faktor yang menjadi kelemahan utama yaitu kapasitas produksi belum mencukupi dengan total skor 0,23. Pengolahan matriks EFE menghasilkan faktor yang menjadi peluang utama dari UMKM Dodol Mangga Barokah yaitu inovasi produk dan teknologi dengan total skor 0,8, dan faktor yang menjadi ancaman utama, yaitu kenaikan harga BBM dengan total skor 0,2. Biaya yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mencakup biaya investasi untuk pembelian lahan dan gedung sebesar Rp. 88.219.700, biaya peralatan sebesar Rp. 67.950.000, dan biaya variabel atau biaya produksi berupa bahan baku, bahan bakar gas, kotak kemasan, listrik, air, telphon dan upah tenaga kerja sebesar Rp. 13.000.000. Modal UMKM Dodol Mangga diduga menggunakan modal pribadi.

Abstract

The effort to reduce the mass energy usage without involvement of consumers is not effective. Thereby, creating a pathway for anyone of consumer to be much more involved in the energy-saving effort. The implementation of disaggregation algorithm in the analysis of energy consumption is to recognize when and which appliance has the largest energy consumption and being able to control the state of all appliances from anywhere. In this research, the principle of disaggregation is event-based and low-sampling data frequency. A KWH-meter is used to send power data to the cloud server via MQTT protocol. The cloud server gathers the energy-consumption data, analyses them and then disaggregates them. The output of the disaggregation algorithm would tell the state (on/off), the average power and the percentage of energy consumed by each appliances. The output will then be sent from the cloud server to Android Apps via MQTT protocol. Then the consumer can easily access and control the energy consumption from their smartphone after knowing it through the disaggregation algorithm.

Abstract

PTPN VIII is an Indonesian state owned company concentrating in the field of agricultural / plantation. The company is located in West Java province. PTPN VIII had many commodities are grown and cultivated, including tea commodity. IHT PTPN VIII is expected to be able to see and take advantage of this opportunity for the development of tea production enterprises downstream. By because it's an improvement and evaluation of each line of the company should do. Ranging from human resources management, business strategy, finance, marketing, distribution, raw materials and so forth. Especially in terms of raw materials PTPN VIII IHT own advantages in this sector. Raw material supply is guaranteed because it has its own tea garden and the quality of tea used is also an excellent tea products. IHT PTPN VIII should be aware of this potential, especially coupled with increasing as well the tea industry competition IHT PTPN VIII should be better prepared to face competition to reform itself. The purpose of this research is (1) To determine whether the variables of quality of product, price, promotion and service quality partial effect on customer satisfaction Walini tea products in Downstream Tea PT.Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (2) To determine whether the variables of quality products , pricing, promotion and service quality simultaneous influence on consumer satisfaction Walini tea products in Downstream tea PT.Perkebunan Nusantara VIII. Based on the analysis, the majority of consumers are aged 26-35 years, sex permpuan, working as private employees, Knowing Walini tea product from a friend, itensitas purchase Not too often, the reason to buy a product because of the quality of the product. The quality of the product (X1), price (X2), promotion (X3), and quality of service (X4) partially affects consumer kepusan Walini tea in IHT PTPN VIII. This is evidenced by the variable t of product quality is 7.696 with a significant level of 0.000. Then t of the variable price is 2.375 with a significant level of 0,020. Then t of variable sale is 2,715 with a significant level of 0.008 and t of the variable quality of service is 3,387 to 0,001 signifakan level. The above data shows that significant value is generated each independent variable was below 0.05. Factors that affect customer satisfaction Walini tea at Tea Downstream Industry PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VIII with the most impact is the quality of the product and service quality, then price and finally the sale.

Abstract

Heat transfer rate on solar air heater system is generally achieved by suitable modification of absorber plate surface with acceptable geometry of rib roughness. In this paper a numerical study is performed using CFD based computational analysis of heat transfer augmentation equipped with the square rib roughness created artificially on the absorber plate. The 2D analysis is performed using ANSYS 16.2 Code with RNG k-ε turbulence model to investigate the heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics. The augmentation of heat transfer on increase of Reynolds number enhance the Nusselt number which is referred as energy gain ratio with the use of rib roughness was examined and their relative evaluation has been plotted. The parameter which is considered for the range of analysis is taken as relative roughness pitch (P/e), relative roughness height (e/D) and the Reynolds numbers (Re) ranging from 3800-18000. The enhancement of heat transfers due to rib roughness on the absorber plate have been compared with those for smooth ducts for the same flow and thermal boundary condition to determine the energy gain ratio of solar air heater. The result obtained by the present investigation shows that the maximum value of energy gain ratio is found to be about 1.93 times the smooth duct for the studied range of parameters.

Abstract

The trial was conducted at Agronomic Research farm, University of Sargodha during spring growing season, 2015, to calibrate and evaluate CERES-Maize model for simulating the impact of different sowing time on maize crop. The experiment was laid out in split plot design having three replications, keeping planting dates (25th Feb, 6thMar and 14thMar) in main plots and hybrids i.e. (DK-9108, DK-6525 and DK-6142) in the sub plots. The Calibration of CSM-CERES-Maize model showed the best possible closeness between simulated and observed days to flowering and physiological maturity, leaf area index (LAI), Total dry matter (TDM), and grain yield with % error of 4.0, -1.5, 0.41, 0.07, 0.14 and 0.3% , respectively, when maize hybrid H1 (DK- 6142) was sown at firstsowing date (25th Feb). DSSAT,CERES- Maize model predicted the phenological traits like anthesis and maturity phase. Number of days to anthesis and maturity simulated by model were lesser to the observed values, where as, simulated grain yield was higher as compared to observed data for all the three cultivars. Model calculated the close similarity between experimental and computer-generated values for leaf area index.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports to Malaysia. Multiple linear regression and ordinary least squares (OLS) were employed to analyze time series of data from 2005 until 2013. Based on the analysis, it is obtained that factors that significantly effect the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports to Malaysia with a significance level (α) five percent are the real prices of Indonesian cocoa exports to Malaysia and the real prices of cocoa beans the international market.
