Abstract

In this paper, we deal with an important and scientific issue in the science of waqf (stop) and ibtidaa (beginning). The scholars differed about the waqf on the head of each verse of the Holy Quran, and there were so many various views and ambiguities about them. Looking at the whole mechanism of evidence, the Sunnah have different interpretations from what others said in other madhabs depending on the purposes of the Quranic stand. These two different groups identified their reasons for the Quranic stand depending on the intense message and how the reader recites the Holy Quran. This paper aims to reveal the different arguments made by these two groups and discuss them. Also to make the right decisions in order to reach correct statement on this issue.

Abstract

Scientific Miracles is a type of Qur’anic Miracles that perhaps might be considered the most common one in this day and age. Scholars have different opinions regarding Scientific Miracles, while it is braced by the majority of scholars as a way to spread Islam, others oppose it fearing that it could lead to a misunderstanding to the meanings of the Qur’anic verses. This paper analyzes the views of the two parties and discusses some examples of Scientific Miracles in the Qur’an, (splitting of the moon, blotting the sign of the night, Saying the name of Allah while slaughtering). The study relies upon fudamantal resouses in the field such as the books authored by Dr. Zaghloul al Najjar along with trusted websites. The paper then concludes with several key points which includes that the splitting of the moon is not an actual physical split, but rather some sort of moon eclipse. As for blotting the sign of night, it was settled that Allah has created the night dark as it is without the bright light in contrast to the day. Lastly, saying the name of Allah while slaughtering is only a way of worshiping the almighty creator. Thus, we have to be careful not to include Scientific Miracles as Qur’anic Miracles if it cannot be proven scientifically.

Abstract

Nigerian Scholars, like their counterpart in West Africa, studied Arabic in other to understand Islam. This research studied selected text from Islamic poetry composed in Arabic by the Borno Kingdom and Hausaland poets in the eighteen and seventeen centuries in Northern Nigeria. The aim is to panoramically bring to fore the social, political, economic, educational and religious features embedded in the poetry as well as ascertain its quality. Hence the paper discusses, after introduction, Nigeria and the advent of Islam vis a vis Arabic Language, highlights selected poems, studied and criticized its contents based on the theory of Al-Adabul Islami (Islamic Literature). Descriptive method was adopted to analyse the selected poems.  At the end of the study, it was discovered that the poetry of this era conformed to the theory of Al-Adabul Islami in its forms and contents, because the poets who composed it adhered strictly to Islamic teachings in their ideas, selection of themes and modes of expression. The language used is also of high standard and derived it strength from the Quran, Sunnah and other Islamic sources.

Abstract

The study of Islamic art is an analytical study of its most important features, as it is linked to the Islamic faith. Many studies were conducted around it, which attempted to question its originality and uniqueness from the rest of the arts that were contemporary to it or preceded it, and tried every time to refer its creativity and aesthetics to other arts. However the study of this unique art is a philosophical and intellectual study. At the end of the research, we reached the conclusion that Islamic art is one of the broadest arts, and that the intellectual approach of the Islamic faith had its clear imprint on its forms and contents on various arts. To sum up, the aesthetic of Islamic art was crystallized by the Islamic faith, despite the factors of influence and being influenced.

Abstract

The article would like to discuss on fatwa (Islamic legal opinion) of Social Insurance (BPJS) issued by The Council of Indonesian Ulama (MUI) in 2015. By using the contents of fatwa as the main data source to be analyzed, this article would like to dig in depth and elaborate more what are the reasons as well as legal reasoning that drove MUI in issuing such fatwa? What aspects of BPJS practices those are not in accordance with Islamic sharia law? This fatwa, however, is in line with previous fatwa which has been issued by MUI in year 2001 on Guideline for Islamic Insurance. This article finds that in MUI’s view, the operational system of BPJS still shackled within the framework of conventional insurance so that should be converted into sharia insurance framework to avoid speculative, uncertainty and usury which are the most forbidden things within Islamic sharia.

Abstract

No one believes that the Western nations have done anything respectable in the field of teaching materials. It should not be denied. This is what is imposed on us by the objective scientific logic, but it is wrong and unfair to deny what is in our linguistic, literary and legal heritage from the seeds of their early position on education, teaching methods, Of the researchers prospecting and directing them to the people. It is among those who excelled in explaining the hadiths of the Prophet peace be upon him Imam Badr al-Din al-'Eini, where his explanation and the analysis of Al-Wafi is considered a model for the consolidation of the modern Hadith through the explanation of the encyclopedia on Saheeh Al-Bukhari and tagged as "the Mayor of the reader explained Sahih Bukhari," which is one of the most extensive and annotated, In this research I discover through the methodology in the explanation and analysis of some of the mechanisms and methods that dealt with the Prophet's speech, and that revealed the strategy and skills in the delivery and ability to influence and the techniques used in providing the subject of the learner in the easiest way, and the most effective way and how the teacher These steps are invested and adopted by these techniques in teaching Hadith to students.

Abstract

The study of the causes of the Qur’anic endowment in the Book of God Almighty is a topic of great importance and ignorance of which cannot be tolerated at all, and for this reason the ancient linguists and scholars of the Qur’anic sciences took care of it and used it in their syntheses and consulted with it a lot. It is the result of being influenced by a number of different sciences. Hence this paper came to shed light on the reasons calling for the differences of endowment scholars as well as the commentators about determining the places of endowment and beginning in the verses of the Noble Qur’an, and that their endowments and beginnings were based on a set of rules: explanatory, grammatical, reading, and jurisprudence. The importance of stopping and starting in understanding the meanings of the Qur’an correctly. The search for the reasons that motivate the different aspects of endowment and initiation: in terms of grammar, jurisprudence, and doctrine. My interest in the interpretation of Al-Qurtubi: "The Collector of the Laws of the Qur'an", as I found it a useful book and an original source in a number of sciences. As for the method used in dealing with the subject of the research, it is the inductive-analytical method. One of the advantages of my research, as I see it, is that I have never had a similar study in revealing the reasons for standing and beginnings through the interpretation of al-Qurtubi, and my study was unique in linking the reasons for disagreement with Quranic models of the interpretation referred to previously. In addition to the need for the reader and the exegete to pay attention to understanding the science of endowment and the beginning, its causes, and its aspects... so that he can differentiate between the different meanings and the two different rulings.

Abstract

Bank is an institution that operates without interest, whose activities are to realize material benefits through the collection and distribution of funds in accordance with sharia, where aspects of the implementation of prudential principles and good governance are supervised by the OJK. While the system and mechanism for the fulfillment of sharia compliance, the institution that has an important role is the National Sharia Council (DSN) of the MUI to issue a fatwa on the conformity of sharia for a bank product. Then the POJK emphasized that all Islamic banking products should only be offered to the public after the bank received a fatwa from the DSN MUI and obtained permission from the OJK. In the operational order, each Islamic bank is also required to have a Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) which functions for sharia supervision and as an advisor in answering questions regarding whether its activities are sharia-compliant or not.Islamic banking in Indonesia continues to develop gradually and progress. In recent years, Islamic Banking has been on the rise, triggered by the great desire of the public to obtain halalness in conflict with banks. This shows that the prospect of Bank Syariah Indonesia will improve, especially with the merger of three Islamic Banks in Indonesia, namely PT. Bank Mandiri Syariah, PT. BNI Syariah and PT. BRIS, Tbk. To become Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk, which is expected by the government so that Indonesia can become a barometer of the Islamic economy in the world and will be ranked seventh in Indonesia based on assets.
