Abstract

Sigma class ship of Hasanuddin 366 is one of Indonesian battle ship. When the ship operates, shipwreck can be happened because impact force disturbance can increase the angle of yaw and roll. In this research, the system of rudder roll stabilization is designed to keep the ship heading/yaw and decrease the roll angle using ship nonlinear dynamic model of 4 degree of freedom (DOF) that contains surge, sway, yaw, and roll.  Fuzzy gain scheduling–PID (FGS-PID) controller is used to control rudder angle as the steering control. The value of the cannon impact force disturbance is 1062.525 Newton with angle variation of 30o from the direction of ship surge. The FGS-PID controller is compared with the PID Ziegler Nichols (PID-ZN) controller as reliability test. According to simulation result, the FGS-PID controller is better than PID-ZN in keeping the heading and decreasing the roll. The performance of FGS-PID controller with heading input of 20o and 30o is compatible with the stability parameter of IMO (International Maritime Organization).

Abstract

These last decades, optical telecommunications have made a spectacular success thanks to the explosion of Internet. This development is the fruit of a main effort of research and development in the field of guided optics which led to the improvement of the performances of optical fibers and optoelectronic components able to generate, detect, modulate or commutate light. Consequently, optoelectronic components of any kind at low cost become available in the market pushing the emergence of other applications in various fields. As a matter of fact, today the use of optics includes strategic fields like space and military ones and also fields of everyday life like data storage (CD and DVD), medicine and unsuspected sectors such as car industry. In a competing way, the advent of Nano-Photonics is pushing the limits of photonic devices miniaturization on scales lower than the wavelength. The interest of using the photon rather than the electron comes from the very high optical frequencies of the optical signal which allow a very broad band-width and offer an unequalled data transmission capacity. Ultimately, the 20th century was the century of electronics and the 21st century is expected to be that of photonics. This presentation will give a highlight of the main concepts and the recent development of photonics technology as well as future challanges

Abstract

The Regional Budget Fiscal Year of Surabaya in 2017 is IDR 8,561,848,147,400, where Regional Revenue (PAD) is projected as much as IDR 4,212,569,176,921 along with Regional Wealth Management IDR 166,311,576,799. That revenue is derived from the activity of managing land asset. The total assets of Surabaya is currently 60,115,651.23 m2, where 84% of the area already has its land use, and 937,911.35 m2 or 0,56% is used for commercial use. Some of the assets are not optimally used for PAD yet. The city loses its opportunity in gaining maximal revenue because the assets are not developed properly, where the assets are mostly located in the main corridor of the city or primary artery. Highest and Best Use (HBU) analysis is found to be one of important technique in finding best alternative to be used in developing vacant land and existed improved property. This study analyzes the HBU practices in developing the government assets of Surabaya, especially the area that is placed near the riverside. Literature review and in depth interview to stakeholders are used to obtain data. The data is then analyzed by using descriptive analysis. Based on analysis, it is found that mixed use commercial building come out as best alternative in developing the assets.

Abstract

Agung Volcano is a stratovolcano located in the area of Karangasem regency of Bali and is in the northwest-southeast fault alignment with Batur, Abang and Seroja Volcano. The existence of this alignment allegedly related to the fracture in the northwest of the island of Bali. The eruption of Agung Volcano recorded on November 25th, 2017 was a significant danger for people living around it. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the activity of Agung Volcano. The method used in this study is the relocation of volcanic earthquake sources to determine the location of the source of the earthquake which caused an increase in Mount activity. Hypocenter relocation was carried out on 138 earthquake events during October 2017-January 2018 using the Coupled Velocity-Hypocenter method. Hypocenter was obtained at a depth of less than 10 km under sea level with an RMS value <0.3 seconds, and this is thought to have a flow of magma fluid through the conduit which moves towards the earth's surface and triggers an eruption

Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the prospect zone of hydrocarbons in Dutch F3 field by utilizing seismic attribute analysis and band-limited inversion. The research data used comes from open source that can be downloaded at opendtect.com. Data processing uses Humpson Russel Software (HRS) to perform well to seismic tie and inversion. Interactive Petrophysics Software for well data analysis, crossplot and potential hydrocarbon estimates, and Petrel Software for well tie load data and seismic attribute analysis. Re-determination of the hydrocarbon prospecting zone includes data selection, log and seismic data processing, horizon and fault interpretation, time structure map and depth structure map, and seismic attribute analysis. From each of these stages will be integrated analyzed on the results of workmanship and geological interpretation of the sustainability of the top reservoir target. Based on the results of clay volume analysis using IP software with Gamma Ray as input parameters, it can be seen that the well that has the biggest prospect is the well F02-1 (774-919 meters) and F06-1 (770-825 meters). This is because the volume of sand in the prospect zone of both wells is larger than the other two wells. The hydrocarbon target depth is in the time to 250 to 500 second (time map structure) or 550 meters (depth conversion) with reservoir lithology in the form of shaly sand with gas fluid as filler.
