Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to describe level of student’s performance based on the seventh grade student’s critical thinking in solving mathematics question with theme coffe. Data analysis is done based on written test (performance task) and interview techniques. The research subject is all of the sevent grade students at MTs Negeri Jember 1 odd semester in 2016-2017 academic year. The students’ performance level consist of novice, apprentice, practitioner and expert with indicators from the eight standard of critical thingking ability according to Bassham. Most students are in standard of Clarity that only can write everything in the problems or questions given by the researcher , but actually they cannot resolve those problems correctly. Meanwhile, the dominant students are the students who belong to novice level and there is no student who belong to expert level. The reason is the students are not used to do the open questions and they are not used to relate the lessons that they have got. Abstract

Abstract. Edge coloring -dynamic of a graph is a map , where , such that no two adjacent edges receive the same colors. An edge -dynamic -coloring is a proper -colouring of such that for each edge in , where is the neighborhood of and are the degree of while for a edge subset . The edge -dynamic chromatic number written as , is the minimum such that has an edge -dynamic -coloring. In this research develop edge coloring -dynamic on special graph, specially on graph, lobster graph, butterfly graph, diamond graph, friendship graph and star graph. The result from this research is a theorem that indicated minimum color for a graph G in topic “edge coloring -dynamic” and how the link between edge coloring with Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Abstract

Abstract This research describse the influence of learning mathematics of emotional intelligence of students of class IX SMP Negeri 13 Jember. The sample in this study were 59 students and the instruments used were test and questionnaire. This research is done by giving math test to get the data of learning result, then to measure the emotional intelligence of the students are asked to fill the questionnaire of emotional intelligence. His emotional types include sadness, joy and happiness. Before the instrument is tested. Analysis of validation data about math test and questionnaire obtained value Va = 2,68 and based on the category of validity level of the instrument. Based on the results of the analysis of the lowest value of 22, the value of the questionnaire included in the excellent category 12 students, good category 46 students and the category is good enough 1 student. From the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is influence of learning result to student’s emotional intelligence. The percentage of influence of learning outcomes on emotional intelligence is 9%. Results of mathematics learning. Keywords : Emotional intelligence, mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstrak. This research aims to discover Students’ thinking process who follow extracurricular bridge in Senior High School 1 Arjasa in solving mathematical probability word problems, then describe and determine students’ thinking process. Intrument which were used in this research are mathematical word problems test and interview guidelines with indicators of revised bloom’s taxonomy cognitive domain. Students answered the problems then analyzed, if indicators did not appear in students answers then the interview is done according to the guideline. Based on the result of this research students who follow the extracurricular bridge belong to the level of thinking process C2 (understand) especially interpreting and explaining and belong to the level of thinking process C3 (apply) especially executing. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop and produce creative character-based learning device in the rectangular and square sub chapters at seventh grade of junior high School (SMP) which have valid, practical and effective criteria. Learning device developed among them is the implementation plan of learning and student worksheets. Development of this learning device using the model of Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) which consists of 5 stages including riview, development, cooperative work, independent work and projects. Learning device were developed based on the modified 4-D development model by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. The development of this learning device consists of defining, designing and developing phases. The subject of this research is the students of class VII A SMPN 1 Silo. The instruments of data collection from this research are: validity sheet, student worksheet, teacher activity observation sheet, student activity observation sheet, teacher questionnaire, and reader sheet of student worksheet. Based on data analysis, this study has three results. First, the learning divice developed have valid criteria. Secondly, the learning device developed have practical criteria based on teacher activity observation sheets and teacher response sheets. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to identify the critical thinking of the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri Jember 1 in solving the mathematics problem sub subject of social arithmetic. The standard of critical thinking used in this study is bassam's that is clarity, precision, accuracy, relevance, consistency, logical correctness, completeness, and fairness. The instruments used in this study are math tests and interview guides. Subjects in this study are students of class VII MTs Negeri Jember 1 semester even in the academic year 2016-2017. In the social arithmetic material of the students of class VII MTs Negeri Jember 1 tends not to meet all the critical thinking standards that Bassam has, but for the matter of applying the selling price of the students of class VII tends to write down what is known and asked, ordinary interest of grade VII students tends not to meet all Bassam's critical thinking standards. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is describing the attitude preference and the social interaction of students in learning mathematics by using Collaborating Learning model. The data collection method was observation in a class of SMPN 4 Jember, which’s 8A. The analysis can be seen from the students’ observation sheet including the attitude indicator to mathematics learning and the indicator of social interaction in the mathematics learning. After that, the researcher examined the relation between the result of the observation and the factors which’s influencing the students’ attitude and social interaction. The students’ attitude to the mathematics learning has three components which are (1) Students’ emotion, (2) Students’ point of view to the mathematics learning, and (3) students’ confidence. The social interaction can be happened under condition (1) there is a contact (2) there is a communication. The students have a preference to have a good attitude to the mathematics learning which’s shown by some positive scores in the component of attitude. The students’ social interaction is disposed to be positive attitude which’s shown by a good cooperation among students in a group so that, they got a maximal result of their study. Abstract

Abstract. The profile of creative thinking is a general person's view of human mental activity in solving mathematical problems with the ability to find various possible answers or find one answer in common but in various ways. This research aims to describe the profile of students' creative thinking based on Wallas Stage in solving mathematical problems of fractional operations based on gender differences. This research was conducted in Junior High School 6 Jember. Research subjects are all students of class VII B which consists of 27 female students and 11 male students. Interviewing process was conducted using Snowball Throwing method in which subject is randomly taken until finally 3 male students and 3 female students has been obtained as the subjects of the interview. Data collection is done through test and interviews. The results of this research showed that male and female students have been through four stages of creative thinking according to Wallas namely the preparation stage, incubation stage, illumination stage and verification phase. Male students are able to write down what is known and asked in the question well but explain the purpose of the question less fluently (preparation), through the process of short-while brooding (incubation), obtain one idea of ​​correct solution (illumination), less detailed and coherently write the steps of problem solving, and has reviewed the answer (verification). Female students can write down what is known and asked in the question completely and fluently explain the purpose of the question (preparation), through process of long-while brooding (incubation), obtain one idea of ​​correct solution and coherently write the steps of problem solving (illumination), And has reviewed the answer by recalculating the results of the work (verification). Abstract

Abstract. This research will be conducted to describe process and result of development of 4C's indicators which appropriate for curriculum 2013 on mathematics subject in the first semester of senior high school grade XI. Development process which used in this research is Plomp Development model which consist of four stages, they are preliminary implementation phase, design phase, realization/construction phase, and test, evaluation, and revision. The result of the development of indicators amounted to 94 indicators 4C's which consist of five materials and 14 KD at mathematics lesson. The result of assessment by five validators are then calculated and analyzed. The 4C's indicators is categorized well, because the total average calculation result for each aspect is 3.77. It is that the resulting product is valid. The productcan be valid if the total average calculation result for each aspect is more than equal to 3.25. Abstract

Abstract. This research is a qualitative decriptive research. The study was conducted on 36 students of class VII B SMP Negeri 10 Jember. This study aims to determine the level of critical thinking and critical thinking process of students in solving mathematical problems based on polya. Grouping is based on Polya's breaking step and students' critical thinking skills in open math problem solving. From the results of research at the stage of understanding the problem students with the uncritical category (S1) is only able to do one problem only and for other problems S1 can only write down what is known and asked in the matter. Students with the category of less critical (S2) able to understand and explain the problem well and can prepare a plan of completion.Students with moderately critical category (S3) are able to solve the problem correctly. Students with the critical category (S4) are able to solve the problem and draw conclusions correctly. Students with category (S5) mapu solve all problems appropriately.
