Abstract

This research develop a model of blood mobile collection using blood donor vehicle efficiently by determining the optimal route of blood collection to the points of blood collection. The model developed in the form of mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) and this model is called Blood Mobile Collection Routing Problem (BMCRP). The purpose of this model is to minimize the total distance of the blood collection routing process in which each place of blood collection has the opening hours and the closing time (time windows) and the service time in each place. This study considers the blood age (spoilage time) for 6 hours to ensure blood quality. The mathematical model is then verified to determine whether the solution is in accordance with the characteristics of BMCRP. Verification is done by solving Blood Mobile Collection Routing small cases. The simulation of solving BMCRP is done by generating eight hypothetical data sets of small cases based on vehicle routing data problems with different characteristics. Verification of BMCRP uses LINGO software. From the simulation results, the BMCRP model can obtain optimal solutions with minimum total distance travelled and does not violate any constraints on BMCRP.

Abstract

The rapid development of the industrial world has resulted in increasingly tight competition among companies. This condition shows the importance of improving performance, not only in a company but also other parties in the related supply chain, in order to compete with other companies or supply chains. The good performance of a supply chain will certainly increase the customers satisfaction. Therefore, performance measurement needs to be carried out so that a supply chain can find out how well it currently performing is and keep improving it. Abstract

CV Jaya Reksa Manggala (JRM) is one of clothing company. With increasing competition in this clothing company, the companies are required to keep improving the quality of clothing products. One of the important things in quality is reduction of product defects. One of the proven methods of  quality improvement is the Six Sigma DMAIC method, which is a continous improvement method that aims to achieve the best quality. One of the products of CV JRM which is still have a lot of defects is 514 products. From the initial data obtained, DPMO value for process I and II for 514 products is 10,768.52 and 27,341.42 with sigma level 3.79 and 3.43. The steps undertaken in this Six Sigma DMAIC method include define, measure, analyze, implementation and control. Several proposed improvements were then made to reduce the problem of these defects and from the data at the control stage, the DPMO values of processes I and II became 2,941.76 and 1,812.69 with sigma levels of 4.25 and 4.41. From this result it can be said that with Six Sigma DMAIC method, there is improvement of quality for product 514 at CV JRM.

Abstract

The city of Bandung has a variety of culinary places that feature their own characteristics, ranging from luxury culinary venues, traditional uniqueness hangout, to the roadside hangout is available in this city. Amid the rapid development of culinary tourism in the city of Bandung, L'societe Dine and Bar is one restaurant that wrestle in culinary tourism business competition. However, according to sales data, L'societe experienced a decrease in total sales from 2014 to 2016. L'societe requires effective improvement on its marketing mix performance. The study aims to analyze customer satisfaction with L'societe marketing mix. The research was conducted using descriptive statistics method, measuring customer satisfaction index and integration of Importance Performance Analysis and Kano Model.Based on the result of research, there are some attributes of L'societe marketing mix that need to be improved. For price attributes, L'societe should review product prices. This review is conducted through further research on product pricing by analyzing product prices with competitor product price comparison or optimizing production costs. For promotional attributes, L'societe can hold live music on an ongoing basis. In addition to this, it can be proposed packages with attractive discounts to the customer, group or family. Abstract

Maintenance management is an important aspect that define success and sustainability of a manufacturing industry. The development of information technology give new possibilities to improve maintenance management performance. Data management with the help from information system will improve maintenance management effectiveness and efficiency. PT XYZ is an industry specialized in retreading tires service. Preliminary study on machinery maintenance process in PT XYZ showed that breakdown and maintenance data were not properly documented. This can generate high cost for the company because maintenance scheduling cannot optimally determined and the cost incurred by repair and maintenance activities, and also the cost of lost production time cannot determined directly. Therefore PT XYZ need information system to improve their maintenance management efficiency. Information system designed in accordance with company need based on system survey and interview. The design of information system developed using Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object Oriented Design (OOD) approach. The designed information system can help maintenance management implementation and related data management. The availability of repair and maintenance data can help factory supervisor to make decision related to maintenance activities such as parts needed and maintenance cost.Keywords: maintenance, information system, performance

Abstract

The posture/body position of batik maker is conducted by kneeling on the ground (squatting) especially on the staining activity (smearing) that is placed on the floor. This body position causes the batik maker’s posture or position in doing the static work (motionless) approximately 3 hours per staining. It can cause a fatigue in static muscle load. In order to reduce static muscle load, the researchers tried to design the alternative tool to be a replacement of batik rest. The purpose of this research is to know the reduction level of muskuskeletal complaints, fatigue and how well the increase in productivity after the change of posture/staining position (smearing) on the floor becomes sitting position in a chair-table in Ergonomics. The research method is the similar subject experiment. Batik table design has an adjustable height and tilt and also can be rotated so that It facilitates the process of coloring (smearing). The Application of Ergonomics in Designing Batik table can show the reduction level of musculoskeletal complaints in batik coloring (smearing) up to 36.63%, the fatigue decrease around 16.73% and the increase of productivity around 68.18%. It indicates that the improvement of squatting position into a sitting position using a chair-table can reduce the complaints of the musculoskeletal system, fatigue and increase the productivity of batik worker.

Abstract

PT X adalah perusahaan garment berskala internasional, dimana 80% produknya dikirim kebeberapa negara di benua Eropa. Loyalitas konsumen dalam hal ini salah satunya dibangkitkandengan menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas. Produk yang berkualitas adalah produk yangspesifikasinya memenuhi atau merepresentasikan kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen. Olehsebab itu setiap perusahaan harus selalu menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas sehingga loyalitaskonsumennya dapat semakin meningkat dan jangkauan pasar perusahaan tersebut juga dapatsemakin meluas. Berdasarkan data tahun 2010 diketahui bahwa 80% produk cacat pada PT Xdisebabkan oleh cacat jahitan, diantaranya jahitan putus, jahitan loncat, dan jahitan longgar. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah memberikan usulan perbaikan terhadap PT X dengan menerapkan metodeSix Sigma dan Konsep Internal Audit, dalam upaya menjamin kualitas produk yang dihasilkan danmengefisiensikan biaya kegagalan dalam produksi pada PT X. Internal audit merupakan faktorkritis untuk pencapaian kesuksesan dalam bisnis. Dalam internal audit, PT X dapat melakukanpengendalian proses, pengendalian dokumen, pengendalian peraturan, serta kebijakan perusahaan.Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai DPMO (Defect per Million Opportunities)sebelum implementasiperbaikan adalah 6429 dengan nilai sigma adalah 3,987 s . Sedangkan nilai DPMO setelahimplementasi perbaikan adalah 2431 dan nilai sigma adalah 4,308 s . Penghematan yang diperolehperusahaan jika menerapkan usulan perbaikan diperkirakan Rp 117.775.525,90 atau setara denganmemproduksi 1.145 unit produk berkualitas.

Abstract

Line balancing is a jobs assignment into a number of work stations that are interrelated in a track or a production line with an objective to minimizing the idle time on the line that is determined by the slowest operation. In line welding 1DY models includes eight work stations where one work station is done by one operator. Problems have been found that these operators have very long idle time and also there is too much wip that creates bottleneck in the production line so these leads to a waste of manpower and time. This waste of manpower and time need to be reduced by determining the optimal amount of labor in order to avoid excessive idle time but work can be done effectively and efficiently. One way to adress imbalance line is to apply line balancing methods.The results of this research shows that the line balancing methods can reduced the waste of time and give solutions for the optimal amount of labor requirements for line welding 1DY models.Keywords: Line Balancing, Workstation, Production Line, Idle Time, Bottleneck.

Abstract

Achievement of plant capacity and reducing bottlenecks in the production process at wet blanketworkstation determined on the level worker of musculoskeletal disorders and the cycles time of the productionprocess per slabs. Capabilities and limitations of workers, equipment, task, and environmental organizationsmust be harmonized for level of workers musculoskeletal disorders and the cycles time of the productionprocess per slabs reduction. The problem scale priority based on total ergonomics must be applied early withidentification of 8 aspects of ergonomics, planned and considered systemic, holistic, interdisciplinary andparticipatory and apply the concept of appropriate technology become one of problem solution about this case.Reduction of level of worker musculoskeletal disorders and cycles time of the production process per slabsbased on ergonomics; include redesigning of the ergonomics table and standing-seat chair folding work wetblanket, setting the pattern system of pair work, giving an active break, providing additional nutrition inthe form of sweet tea and snack pempek, provision of personal protective equipment, and redesigning of thephysical work environment. Experimental research was using the treatment by subject design, with involved17 workers samples who perform activities on the conditions of activity before and after the redesign basedon ergonomics. The level worker of muskuluskeletal disorders, and the cycle time of the production processper slabs data were analyzed using Two Pair Sample t-test at a significance level of 5%. The results of studyshowed that after redesign of wet blanket workstation based on ergonomics there was a significant reductionof the level worker of muskuluskeletal disorders as 21.02%, and reduction of the cycles time of the productionprocess per slabs as 21.85%.

Abstract

This paper describes a technological business incubation model, developing integrated curriculum with technopreneurship education, as well as the involvement of Industrial Engineering of Tarumanagara University to create technology startup ecosystem. University holds the important role for enhancing technopreneurs in Indonesia. Academics or researchers as technology transfer agents, are responsible to disseminate technology entrepreneurship education broadly. Eventually, technological business incubator will able to accelerate commercialization of innovations or inventions from university researchs.
