Abstract

A design of biodiesel supply chain from waste cooking oil conducted in previous studies. Implementation of supply chain design needs to be studied more in depth and comprehensive. One aspect of the study is a supply chain risk management. Supply chain risk management is important because many events in supply chain which raises operational problems and the cessation of business activity. Because of vulnerability of the supply chain to various internal and external risks, the study of risk sources is needed. This study examines the sources of risk and the weighting that may occur along the supply chain for the distribution of biodiesel from waste cooking oil from suppliers that located in various places until the sale of biodiesel to consumers that are targeted to the public in Padang. The method used in this research is fuzzy AHP with triangular fuzzy number approach. Risk identification is done with the study of literature and assessment by experts. Based on the results obtained sequences risks from largest to smallest weight are raw materials, market, quality, production, transportation, and partnerships.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company that produce tools, machine parts, and special purpose machines. Based on data from the production department, there are some products with high defect and then need rework. This condition would be very harmful because it will increase the cost that should not be necessary. The research is to find the cause of the occurrence of this defect and then fix it. From the observation result showed that the production of feed roll component has a high defect rate which is 70.59% must be reworked, based on the data during January - September 2016. In October - December 2016 the improvement effort was done by using lean manufacturing approach and PDCA. The results of this improvement provide improved quality of the feed roll component so that the rework gradually decreases and eventually does not exist. Then the cost of production before the repair of Rp 668,694, - reduced to Rp 413,983, -. There was a significant decrease in production cost by 38%.

Abstract

Human realibility is a big tricky problem. Human failure rates depend on three main factors, namelyintrinsic, work environment, and stress. PT. X is a supplier for PT. LG Indonesia manufacturing productsmade from plastics. Human Realibility Assesment is conducted using HEART methods (Human ErrorAssessment and Reduction Technique). In the first phase, task analysis on operators’ activities is done usingHierarchical Task Analysis (HTA). The largest Human Error Probability was found when Operator No. 1did not insert the flash side carefully. The value of this probability is 0.53424. This factor is concluded as themain cause to shroud defectives, which results in customer penalyzing the company.

Abstract

Visual inspection task is the inspection activity of a product with the eye position centered over the moving conveyor, the faster the product is produced, the more critical the time of the inspection operator. The conditions in the long term will result in a decrease in productivity (Manuaba, 1992). The research objective to be achieved, among others: (1) Determining the optimal level of productivity based on the studies measure of performance checks on experimental design in every visual inspection task beverage packaging cup "Panther". (2) Determine the influence of lighting, working position and gender on the productivity of visual inspection task on beverage packaging. The object of research is part operator checks on beverage packaging cup "panther". Here are 10 people who have IQ scores of 90-120 aged 20-25 years. The research method was experimental method. The independent variables consist of lighting levels, working position, and gender. Variable manipulated into 12 groups experimental design. Data processing is done by checking the performance measurement approach. Analysis of experimental data using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and productivity. The study states that: (1) the highest labor productivity LkB200 experimental design (male, standing working position, the lighting level of 200 Lux) for 0.833. But the productivity of all design experiments have not reached optimal productivity, (2) Areas of different interactions in experimental design factor is the level of lighting in the working position. These factors affect the number of detected defects and work productivity.Keywords: Lighting, Measurement Time, Productivity, Performance Measures Inspection, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)

Abstract

The increasing internet users in Indonesia has encourage companies to take advantage of internet technology in its business (e-commerce). Amid the growth of e-commerce, Rakuten Indonesia (RI) as one of the e-commerce company, have to compete in order to retain its existence. For e-commerce companies, website’s usability has an important role in attracting consumers to conduct transactions. RI website’s usability will be evaluated using Eyetracking usability testing. Eyetracking usability testing use the results of the gaze replay, gaze plots, heat maps, and the area of interest (AOI). The evaluation was done for the website features (product categorization, filtering products, sorting products, product description, saving products, as well as ordering the product), and the placement of the advertisement on the homepage RI website. From the evaluation, it was found 10 problems related RI website’s feature and the improvements was made. From the results of the evaluation of advertisement’s placements based AOI, can be determined the cost of advertising and the content of the advertisement on a specific area on the website's homepage.

Abstract

pertumbuhan ekonomi yang terjadi di negara tersebut. Untuk memenangkan kompetisi, perusahaanperusahaanberlomba memperbaiki kinerja mereka. Salah satu cara yang dilakukan adalahmenerapkan sistem persediaan barang yang lebih efisien yaitu dengan menerapkan manajemen supplychain yang akan memberikan keuntungan bagi pihak supplier maupun pihak retailer. VMI (VendorManaged Inventory) merupakan salah satu metode dalam supply chain yang memberikan keuntunganbagi perusahaan melalui waktu replenishment yang singkat, perbaikan customer service level, total biayarantai pasok yang lebih kecil dibanding metode persediaan tradisional. Penelitianpenelitianyang sudah dilakukan saat ini baru sebatas model VMI satu supplier dengan satu retailer. Padahalpada kenyataannya satu supplier dapat berhubungan dengan satu atau lebih retailer atau bahkansebaliknya banyak supplier yang berhubungan dengan 1 retailer. Kondisi seperti ini menyebabkanperlunya pengembangan model yang melibatkan banyak retailer maupun supplier.Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan pengembangan model VMI yang dibatasi pada kondisi satusupplier dengan banyak retailer. Dilakukan penentuan parameter, variabel keputusan, fungsi tujuandan koefisien pembatas untuk merancang model. Model yang dirancang kemudian diimplementasikanke dalam bahasa pemrograman AMPL dan solusinya didapatkan dengan penggunaansoftware NEOS. Datadata yang digunakan merupakan data ilustrasi. Setelah didapat hasil daripengimplementasian model, selanjutnya dibuat analisis berdasarkan hasil serta analisis sensitivitasuntuk model. Hasil penggunaan model VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) yang dirancang kemudiandibandingkan dengan hasil penggunaan metode lain, yaitu Q System serta WagnerWithin Algorithm.

Abstract

In transportation activity, human need a transportation equipment such as car, motorcycle, plane, train, etc. As the number of urban population increase, the number of vehicle increase also, especially for country which has a big number of urban population like Indonesia. The more vehicle and private vehicle owned by urban population cause some effects. The first effect is air pollution that is caused by internal combustion engine gas emission that can give bad effect to human’s health. Second, the increasing consumption of fossil fuel which is one of unrenewable natural resources that we must keep the level of consumption so that we are not run out of fuel before it can be produced again. Third is the increasing of traffic accident which are caused by human error. Therefore, it is important to make a concept about future vehicle which is not use fossil fuel, environmentally friendly and equipped with smart system to prevent accidents. This research aim is to develop a car system concept which can help to solve this problem in Indonesia in 2025 using system engineering methodology from INCOSE which begin with need identification, stakeholder identification (context diagram), concept of operations (ConOps), stakeholder requirement (core functional matrix and QFD) and system architecting. The result of this research is a smart green car system masterplan in Indonesia in 2025.

Abstract

Productivity achievement at PT Adi Satria Abadi (Golf Gloves Division) is not optimal because ofthe waste. Value Stream Mapping as a Lean Manufacturing tool is used to map the production processand identify and eliminate the waste. The advantage of VSM is its capability to give visual map of valueadded flow process, necessary but non value added flow process, and non value added flow process. In thisstudy Waste Assessment Model (WAM) also have been implemented to identify the waste. The sequence ofthree greatest waste are Defect/Reject 24,73%, Unneccessary Inventory 18,80%, and Unneccessary Motion15,44%. This study can reduce production lead time 62,22 minutes and improve the production throughputby 77 pcs.

Abstract

In the era of information technology such as this present time efficiency and specialized as well as easy in getting any information it required institutions such as bank, always hold the inventory. In the absence of an inventory of institutions or companies at a time unable to meet its operational needs or activities.Design and implementation of planning system in logistics unit inventory Bank Indonesia Bandung, is on such research produces a system application created using Vb.net and mean to solve a problem in the logistics unit of Bank Indonesia.As for the problem solving can assist the logistics unit to simplify Bank Indonesia Bandung logistics unit as unit of inventory suppliers to transact the expenditure items. Logging request items using a computerized system to make it more easily and stored into the database so that very small accurence of data loss.The result of this research are generating an application inventory system that serves to make a transaction request goods logistics unit as a provider goods supplies.

Abstract

Maintenance cost becomes one of the problems that manufacturing company is facing nowadays due tolack of maintenance system. The main objective of this research is to reduce the maintenance cost on autorooting machine in toy manufacturer by developing a scheduled preventive maintenance. Data of machinebreakdowns and costs related to maintenance, components, and the interval time of failure for each machinewere collected. To develop a preventive maintenance system, the interval of component replacement must bedetermined. The minimum cost model is attained by finding the right interval time. The result of this researchshows that by implementing proposed maintenance schedule the machine reliability has 45% increase andmaintenance cost decreases by 48%.
