Abstract

PT WLS is a company that produce solid surface product. The variance of shape and design that canbe produced is very high and can be customized to the demand. The problem that occur in this company isthat sometimes the product fractured during delivery and production. To cope this problem, an experimentdesign with General Factorial Design is used to determine the best material composition that can increase thetoughness of the material. Two factors are determined to be the main factors that determine the toughnessof the materials which is the amount of hardener and the type of material used. Charpy test was used todetermine the toughness of the samples with a 55 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm dimension. Based on the analysisdone, the amount of catalyst, the type of material used, and the interaction between those two factors have asignificant effect to the materials toughness value and to get the optimal result for a 100 mm x 100 mm x 9mm sample, it was advised to use 3 ml of hardener and Al(OH)3 with HWF specifications.

Abstract

AbstrakPemenuhan kebutuhan konsumen merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan dalam pengembangan suatu produk dalam suatu perusahaan. Namun, saat ini konsumen semakin kritis dalam memilih produk sehingga tidak hanya aspek fungsional saja yang diperhatikan, melainkan juga aspek lain, seperti emosi, perasaan, dan impresi (kansei) terhadap produk yang akan dipilih. Kansei engineering merupakan metode untuk menerjemahkan kansei seseorang terhadap produk yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kansei engineering untuk membantu perusahaan memahami kebutuhan konsumen serta menerjemahkannya ke dalam rancangan produk baru yang memiliki daya guna dan citra yang baik di mata konsumen. Pengumpulan data utama dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan teknik semantic differential. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner, diperoleh 11 kata kansei yang menjadi kriteria penting konsumen dalam memilih produk plastic shopping bag. Analisis konjoin dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kata kansei tersebut dengan enam item dan 18 kategori elemen desain produk. Hasil analisis konjoin meliputi nilai utilitas dan tingkat kepentingan masing-masing elemen desain. Melalui nilai utilitas tersebut diperoleh spesifikasi produk baru yang merupakan kombinasi elemen desain dengan nilai utilitas optimum.Kata kunci: kansei engineering, semantic differential, analisis konjoin

Abstract

This paper describes a technological business incubation model, developing integrated curriculum with technopreneurship education, as well as the involvement of Industrial Engineering of Tarumanagara University to create technology startup ecosystem. University holds the important role for enhancing technopreneurs in Indonesia. Academics or researchers as technology transfer agents, are responsible to disseminate technology entrepreneurship education broadly. Eventually, technological business incubator will able to accelerate commercialization of innovations or inventions from university researchs.

Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of community service to transform lean leadership in small to medium industries. This PKM was carried out by organizing lean manufacturing and coaching clinic training for two days. The next phase of assistance in lean implementation continues to be carried out and evaluated periodically. It is hoped that lean production based management approach can improve the competitiveness of small and medium industries in IndonesiaABSTRAK: Tulisan ini membahas mengenai pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk mentransformasikan kepemimpinan lean pada industri kecil menengah. Adapun PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan menyelenggarakan pelatihan lean manufacturing dan coaching clinic selama dua hari. Tahap selanjutnya pendampingan dalam implementasi lean terus dilakukan dan dievaluasi secara berkala. Harapannya, pendekatan manajemen berbasis lean production dapat meningkatkan daya saing industri kecil menengah di Indonesia.

Abstract

Production equipment that has a high operating time becomes a vital aspect in supporting the operational system, and its maintenance becomes a critical point that must be planned. This research discusses maintenance policies that focus on machine reliability and parts availability to produce proper maintenance actions, optimal maintenance scheduling and good spare-parts management. The research was conducted on a developing manufacturing company engaged the field of agricultural aids in the city of Bekasi. This study focused on hydraulic shear machines because they have the largest downtime value of 8,344.8 minutes. This problem has a negative impact on the company because it can reduce the yield. Based on these conditions, the study was conducted using the Reliability Centered Maintenance method to update the maintenance patterns and Poisson Process to determine the number of component requirements needed for the next one year. The data obtained in the form of historical damage to the machine, component cost, labor cost and production cost. This research produces an optimal preventive replacement time interval that is every 154 hours for the oil seal component, 242 hours for the shear blade component, and 324 hours for the oil hydraulic hose (1/2") component. While the number of critical components required for the next 1 year is 37 units for oil seal component, 10 units for shear blade components, and 7 units for oil hydraulic hose (1/2") component.

Abstract

Online motorcycle taxi service providers become business opportunities that grow and develop. The development of digital business opportunities is also supported by the increasingly widespread service users. This research aims to determine the characteristics of online motorcycle taxi service users and the attributes that are priority for users. In this study, several methods are used and integrated include: e-ServQual, IPA (importance-performance analysis), Kano Model, and House of Quality. The measurement result of the consumer satisfaction index is 55.58%, meaning that the consumers are quite satisfied with the online service. Based on the findings of this study, the attributes prioritized by consumers are the punctuality of the driver's arrival as stated in the application (attribute 14), the driver confirms the customer's order quickly (attribute 15), and the driver is easy to obtain (attribute 17). Finally, this study also recommends corrective actions to these service providers, among others: maintaining server reliability with a relative importance of 21.4%, regularly conducting driver training with a relative importance of 15.2%, and increasing the number of drivers with a relative importance 4.3%.
