Abstract

The manufacturing sector is grappling with the need to adapt to rapid technological changes, and leveraging cloud computing is becoming crucial for staying competitive and resilient. The presentation of knowledge in this work focuses on highlighting the specific challenges and opportunities in integrating cloud technologies into manufacturing systems. It aims to answer critical questions such as how cloud computing can enhance manufacturing automation, solve problems, and benefit to the industry. The methodology employed in this research takes a comprehensive and top-down approach, aligning and exploring the practical aspects of implementing these X-as-a-Service (XaaS) model in manufacturing setups. The research also acknowledges the shift from legacy Distributed Numerical Control (DNC) systems to modern solutions like MTConnect and Open Platform Communication (OPC) for data exchange in automated manufacturing systems. Emphasizing the important of data collection and real-time monitoring, the study highlights the role of Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) sensors deployed at various points of manufacturing system components (machine tools, spindles, cutting tools, production units, etc.). These sensors capture real-time production and condition data, enabling informed decision-making in manufacturing systems. This research not only presents the latest knowledge but also offers insights into the challenges, strategies, and methodologies involved in the successful integration of cloud-based technology into manufacturing automation systems. It also aims to serve as a valuable resource for manufacturers, researchers, and industry professionals navigating the transformative journey toward cloud-powered manufacturing.

Abstract

To ensure that the distribution process of subsidized fuel is more well-targeted, PT Pertamina has developed an application called MyPertamina. The increasing number of MyPertamina users has led to an increasing number of reviews related to the use of MyPertamina. Reviews of MyPertamina fill various social media channels, including Twitter. However, the analysis of user perceptions through social media has not been optimal. Therefore, a better user sentiment mapping is needed. This study was conducted to answer this need by building a text mining model and designing a prototype that can extract and analyze sentiments from tweets related to MyPertamina. This research adopts the CRISP-DM methodology, which consists of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. The data obtained for model development reached 6,920 tweet data. Each data was classified into one of three sentiment categories, namely positive, negative, and neutral. After data preparation, 2,057 data were used for model development. The models tested in this study consist of Support Vector Machine (SVM), Multinomial Naïve Bayes, Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) algorithms. The model that produced the best evaluation score and was selected for prototype development is the SVM model with an accuracy score of 83.74%, weighted precision of 83.96%, weighted recall of 83.74%, and weighted F1-score of 83.72%. The prototype is used for extracting and predicting sentiment for new datasets, which can then be visualized in the form of graphs and word clouds according to the user's needs.

Abstract

The problem faced by PT Borwita Indah is the occurrence of overstock and understock on FMCG products. This study aims to determine the inventory planning of FMCG products with related factors, namely sales results, stock of finished goods, and to be able to predict accurately so that there is no buildup of products in the warehouse. This research using the apriori algorithm for data collection with associative rules which is carried out through support and confidence calculation mechanisms and artificial neural networks for forecasting methods which have a fairly low data error rate and are good enough in the generalization process so that this model is able to predict timeseries data for several time periods for future. Itemset data pattern obtained resulted in a level of confidence in Head&Shoulders with Pantene 90.9%, and a level of confidence in Pantene with Head&Shoulders 90.9%. Meanwhile, the level of confidence for Vicks with Head&Shoulders reaches 100%. Forecasting results for the next 12 periods for each Pantene, Head&Shoulders, and Vicks product have a fluctuating forecasting trend so that safety stock can be taken into account. The amount of safety stock that must be in the company is 504 pcs of Pantene per day, 49 pcs of Head&Shoulders per day, 35 pcs of Vicks. It is hoped that with this research the company can carry out optimal product inventory control.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a fermentation industry that uses Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) in the production process. With high mental workload of operators, it can disrupt company productivity. In 2021, the achievement of the percentage of production failure targets at PT XYZ has not reached the set target. The purpose of this study is to measure and make improvements to the mental workload at PT XYZ. The research method is to measure mental workload using the NASA TLX questionnaire, conduct data analysis using descriptive statistics, and conduct a paired t-test to compare the results of mental workload before and after improvement.. From the research results, the mental workload score was 72.64 in the high category. Of the six NASA TLX dimensions, operators experienced time demands of 24.1%, effort 23.1%, mental demands 22.3%, performance 20.2%, physical demands 9.3% and frustration 1.0%. The improvement results can reduce the high mental workload of operator from 82 to 74 with a significant level of 0.004, and increase the low mental workload of operators from 53 to 66 with a significant level of 0.129.

Abstract

During pandemic, the increase in healthy lifestyle adoption through home cooking has led to a significant surge in household food waste, with a percentage up to 37%. One of the viable solutions that could be applied is using meal kit which potentially curbing 1,24 million tons of food waste annually. Based on the survey and interviews, respondents are interested in meal kit marketplace application as an effort to support healthy lifestyles and reduce food waste. The method used to design the application is interaction design lifecycle model. The needs identification that was done by semi-structured interviews generates 13 groups of primary customer’s needs and 7 seller's needs. The results of identified needs was made into 3 alternative design plans, be it for the buyers or sellers. The selected alternative design is developed into high-fidelity prototype named FoodLab. The prototype is evaluated using task completion and SUS questionnaire. For the buyers, they have an average effectiveness criteria of 88%, efficiency criteria of 83,67%, and SUS score of 80,71. For the sellers, they have an average effectiveness criteria of 100%, efficiency criteria of 100%, and SUS score of 90. The SUS value has crossed the acceptance value of 68, while the effectiveness and efficiency are in the very effective and efficient category (>80%). Based on the evaluation result, several improvement were planned, such as increasing the button and font size, attaching portion information, and providing cooking tutorial video pages.

Abstract

Swabs and PCR are ways to track patients infected with COVID-19. One private swab and PCR service provider in Surabaya offers swab and PCR tests with fast results and is open 24 hours a day. This research aims to determine service quality performance, identify the causes of consumer dissatisfaction, and identify service attributes that must be maintained and improved for Swab and PCR services in Surabaya. This research uses an integration of the Servqual and Kano methods. The integration of Servqual and Kano determines the service attributes to be improved. Data was obtained from a questionnaire using the five-dimensional Servqual approach, then calculated to get a gap value and categorized using the Blauth formula. The Servqual gap and the Blauth formula's category values are combined to make action decisions. The results state that swab and PCR service providers still need to improve all factors used in this research. Three attributes fall into the weak and indifferent category, so the decision that needs to be made is to ignore them because they do not affect consumer satisfaction and are not a priority for improvement. The other twenty-one attributes fall into the weak and one-dimensional category, meaning companies must improve these attributes to satisfy consumers. Companies need to make improvements to ensure better service, including increasing the number of medical officers to reduce fatigue and queues and providing training on medical procedures and communication skills for medical officers.

Abstract

This research constitutes a literature review employing a qualitative approach, analyzing scholarly articles, books, and other documents related to sustainable development. This article aims to summarize and analyze previous studies concerning sustainable development in the context of mathematics education, as well as strategies that can be employed to integrate the principles of sustainable education. Integrating the principles of sustainable development into education, including mathematics education, is crucial in fostering a more environmentally responsible society and promoting sustainability across all sectors. However, its implementation remains limited. Educators face various challenges, including a lack of time, resources, and understanding of sustainable education, along with a dearth of supportive teaching materials. The principles of sustainable development can serve as a framework for developing curricula and teaching practices that are more sustainable. Educators can select mathematical problems related to environmental or social issues, discuss relevant mathematical concepts in connection with these problems, and help students comprehend the impact of mathematical decisions on the environment and society. Integrating the principles of sustainable development into mathematics education not only aids in producing a generation with sustainable skills but also motivates students to learn mathematics in more engaging and meaningful ways. A learning approach centered around sustainable development can be an effective way to prepare students for a sustainable future. The article also underscores the necessity for curriculum development, training, and professional advancement for educators.

Abstract

This research is centered on the practical implementation of machine learning and computer vision technologies to enhance production quality control within the traditional textile industry. The traditional textile sector, known for labor-intensive practices, has slowly adapted to digital transformation. We present a practical case study from Bandung, Indonesia, to validate the effectiveness of our approach in real-world textile manufacturing. By emphasizing machine learning and computer vision, this research narrows the gap between traditional textile practices and digitalization, offering tailored solutions for manufacturers seeking to excel in today's rapidly changing global market. The findings provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of using machine learning and computer vision for production quality control in traditional textile manufacturing. The machine learning models in the study showed good accuracy, ranging from 75% to 100% under various lighting conditions in real-world textile manufacturing environments, confirming their suitability for practical quality control applications.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to examine the impact of tax digitalization, such as e-filling, and e-billing, on the efficiency of individual taxpayer reporting and tax compliance in the 4.0 era. The presence of tax digitalization as a type of tax administration modernization makes it easier for the general public, particularly taxpayers, to carry out their obligation. This study is a quantitative research. This study's variables include one dependent variable, two independent variables and one variabel moderating. The dependent variable is the tax compliance, while the independent variables are the use e-filling, and e-billing and the moderating variables is efficiency of taxpayer reporting. The population in this study is Individual taxpayers in Kuningan Regency, West Java. The samples in this research are 50 respondents that take the questionnaire with Likert scale as the measurement. This study used incidental sampling, with the research instrument being an online questionnaire distributed via social media. The data analysis method in this study uses Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). According to the findings of this study efficiency tax system has not been proven to moderate the relationship between e-filling and e-billing with the tax compliance.

Abstract

In 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic strikes the whole country. It forces Organization to change their work habits from Work from Office (WFO) to Work from Home (WFH). It is also triggered by Indonesia Government policy to keep Social Distancing and start Work from Home (WFH). Bank XYZ response by change their working policy to allow employee Work from Office and Work from Home (Hybrid). Then each employee has a different work schedule every week based on their position and Line Manager discretion. Change of amount employee who work from office affects its performance obviously, especially operational function in this case HR Data Management Function. Bank XYZ has not make a further assessment, planning or working simulation about the optimal number of WFO employees yet. By direct observation, processing time data measurement, and memo arrival time data measurement, we make a model simulation based on Arena Software to find most suggested number of WFO employee. The simulation result shows that 7 employees is the best employee number consisting of 1 Team Lead, 1 Analyst, 1 Analyst Assistant, 2 Administrator and 2 Archive Personnel. This number is less than existing employee number before, 14 employees.
