Abstract

This study examines whether there is market reaction to the presence of external financing decisions on companies in the Indonesia Stock Exchange under the Modified Theory pecking order, while also testing whether there is a diffeence between the market reaction to the interval in the period of observation of the external funding decisions at the company in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses object manufacturing companies listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2005-2008. The company studied is a company that in the period of 2005-2008 to the acquistion of external funding sources have either a long-term debt financing and issuance of new shares. Companies that observed in this study were 58 companies, whit a 4-year observation period, cansisting of 20 companies to issue new share during the observation periode showed a positive abnormal return. The average abnormal return the company to abtain long-term debt financing during the observation periode showed a positive abnormal return. Based on the different test result on average only on testing the market reaction to companies that meet emission requisition of shares of the fund sources indicate the probability that reflects differences in market reaction to companies that meet the funding requirements by emission of shares at 5 days before and 5 days after that announcement of issuance of new shares.

Abstract

This reaseach analyzes, (1) fundamental factor influences Price Earning Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Equity, and Book Value simultanteously and partially to return stock on corporate incoming Index liquid 45 (ILQ 45) at Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI), (2) to identify variable which that influential dominant to return stock on corporate incoming ILQ 45 at IndonesianStock Exchange (BEI). In this reasech, specialed sample as much 17 incoming firms in ILQ to periode 2004-2008 one accomplishes criterions as sample. Findingon observational it, fundamental factors Price Earning Ratio, Debt to Equity ratio, Return on Equity, and Book Value declare for that simultant avaliable influence that significant to return stock, in t test (partial) fundamental factor Price Earning Ratio and Return on Equity partially have significant influence to return stock, and variable Price Earning Ratio (PER) having for dominant to return stoct on corporate incoming deep ILQ 45 of Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI).

Abstract

This research investigated direct and indirect relationship between brand equity constructs. We employed the costumer-based brand equity of Aaker’s (1991) which incorporated four dimensions of brand equity namely, brand awareness, brand associations, perceived quality and brand loyalty. This present study looked at Indonesia as one of emerging market which becomes a more important market that there are many growth opportunities internationally, and using the teenager frequent consumers of McDonals’s restaurant as subjects. We chose the object of the famous global brand Mc Donald’s restaurant as the biggest companies of fast food restaurant in hospitality industry that implements local adaptations. We implement Structural Equation Modelling with LISREL to examine the hypothesis. Based on our analysis and result, we found that there are direct and indirect relationship among brand equity construct, whereas perceived quality and brand awareness are important variables which affect brand loyalty.

Abstract

This reasech aims to test the financing deciance at Sharia Banking. This excamination aims to answer the problem to what extend financing decision at Sharia Banking use Trade-off Theory or Packing Order Theory? The population of the research are sharia banking. The samples of this research consists of 5 sharia banks that are selected based on nonprobability technique with purpositive sanpling method. In processes testing the hypothesis was used Partial Last Square. Based on empiricial excamination result, it is generally concluded that financing decician at sharia banking prefer to use Trade-off Theory compared Packing Order Theory. Based on Trade Off Theory: non debt tax shields have impact negative to financing decision, liquidity have impact positive to financing decision. Based on Pecking order theory: probability have impact positive to financing decision, and investment have impact negative to financing decision.

Abstract

The theory of planned behavior proposed by Ajzen states that the factors which influence a person in choosing or not choosing a product include attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control. The main purpose of this research is to apply the theory of planned behavior on the hospitals consumers. It would, first, identify attitude toward behavior of the consumers of hospitals; second, identify the subjective norm and referent which are mostly influential; third, identify the influence of attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control toward the behavioral intention simultaneously and partially; and fourth, identify the variables that are mostly influential on behavioral intention of hospital service.The subjects of the research were consumers of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta. The sampling technique employed was purposive convenience sampling, which involved 100 respondents (respondense rate = 83.33%). The results showed that the attitude toward behavior of the hospital consumers is in the category of medium with the attitude score percentage of 54.8375%. The highest attitude toward behavior  score is on the doctors services and the lowest score is on the service rate. Subjective norm is in the category of medium, with the score percentage of 50.666%. The most influential referent is family. These three variables, that is attitude toward behavior, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control positively influence the behavioral intention, either simultaneously or partially. Subjective norm becomes the most influential variables for the behavioral intention on hospital services.

Abstract

Student’s entrepreneurship intention was quite widely researched. However, those studies examined separately factors affecting entrepreneur intention. This study tried to investigate a more comprehansive a more comprehensive favtor which affected the student intention to be entrepreneur. The entrepreneurial characteristics which were investigated consist of innovativeness, need for achievement, locus of control, risk taking provensity, tolarance for ambiguity, and self confidence. This study also research whether the intention to be entrepreneur affected by different ethnic groups, and parental accupation of students (entrepreneurs and non entrepreneurs). Since the number of women entrepreneur in Indonesia is still very limited, this study also investigated how gender differences could be the source of differences in students intention to be entrepreneur. We found that five of six student’s entrepreneurial characteristics significantly affected their intention to be entrepreneur. Futher, this study also revealed that there is no difference in intention to be entrepreneur among students with defferent ethnic groups, parent’s accoupation, and gender

Abstract

Global era suggests that the competitive challenges of competition in the business world. The development of healt-care business is increasingly competitive, the hospital is required to provide satisfactory services to their patients. This studi aimed to analyze the relasionship between the service quality and behavioral intentions  in hospital inpatients X, analyze the different slope service quality relationship beetween the above behavioral intentions and that under the tolerance zone relative to waht is in the tolerance zone, and analyze the real distinctions behavioral intentions among inpatients do not experienced service problems, experienced service problems solved and unsolved. Selvice quality variabel: tangible, reality, responsiveness, asurance, and emphaty. Behavioral intention variabel: loyality, switch, pay more, external response and internal response. Reaserch location in hospital X of Yogyakarta, the study subjects were inpatients. To know the relationship between service quality, behavioral intention to use correlation and regression analysis tools.The results show there is a positive relationship between service quality and behavioral intentions in hospotal inpatients X. There is difference in slope service quality relationship beetween the above behavioral intentions and that under the tolerance zone relative to taht in the tolerance zone. There are real differences in behavioral intentions among hospitalized patients do not solved, with the highest behavioral intentions score were inpatients do not experienced service problems but not solved, with the highst behavioral intentions score were inpatients do not experience service problems, the next highes is inpatients but not experiencing problem solved and the lowest is inpatients care but not experiencing problems solved. Based on the results off all hypotheses (H1 a, H2 b, H2 a, H2 b, and H2 c) is accepted. Quality os service related behavioral intentions are positive, it is advisable to keep a hospital X servive quality issues.
