Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan asal usul kata dan perubahan kata awalan dan akhiran dialek bahasa Bali Bunutan. Teknik yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat tiga narasumber yang dipilih. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat tiga jenis awalan yang ditemukan di dialek Bunutan, yaitu {ma-}, {me-}, and {N-}, dan terdapat tiga akhiran: {-ang}, {-in}, and, {-nye} yang ditemukan di dialek bahasa Bali Bunutan. Awalan dan akhiran di dialek bahasa Bali Bunutan yang termasuk awalan asal usul kata {ma-}, {me-}, and {N-}, dan akhiran suffixes {-ang} dan {-in}. Awalan dan akhiran di dialek bahasa Bali Bunutan yang termasuk perubahan kata awalan {N-} and akhiran {-ang}, {-in}, and, {-nye}. Kata Kunci : Kata-kata kunci: awalan, akhiran, asal usul kata, perubahan kata ABSTRACT This study was designed in the form of descriptive qualitative study. This study aimed at describing the derivational and inflectional prefixes and suffixes in Bunutan Dialect of Balinese. The techniques used to collect the data were observation and interview. In this study, there were three informants chosen. The results of this study showed that there are three kinds of prefixes found in Bunutan Dialect, namely {ma-}, {me-}, and {n-} and there were three kinds of suffixes: {-ang}, {-in}, and, {-nye} which is found in Bunutan Dialect of Balinese. Prefixes and suffixes in Bunutan Dialect of Balinese which belonged to derivational were prefix {ma-}, {me-}, and {n-} and suffixes {-ang} and {-in}. Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian qualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan (1) jenis - jenis tindak tutur yang diucapkan oleh guru-guru bahasa inggris (2) bagaimana tindak tutur yang diucapkan dapat disadari dari ucapan – ucapan guru dan (3) fungsi pedagogis dari tindak tutur yang diucapkan oleh guru bahasa inggris dalam proses belajar mengajar dalam ruang kelas di SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah dua guru bahasa inggris. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui hasil observasi dan interview dan dianalisa menggunakan Miles and Huberman (1994) interaktif data analisis. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa guru menggunakan tindak tutur berupa directives, representatives, commisives dan expressives dalam proses belajar mengajar. Tindak tutur kata yang paling sering digunakan adalah directives (55.22%), sementara tutur kata yang jarang digunakan adalah commissives (0.65%). Ada 28 inti ilokusi yang dipergunakan oleh guru dalam proses belajar mengajar. Ditemukan juga bahwa guru lebih sering menggunakan tindak tutur kata langsung daripada yang tidak langsung dalam bentuk kalimat deklaratif, interogatif, imperatif dan esklamasi. Fungsi pedagogis dari tindak tutur yang diucapkan guru memiliki tiga fungsi yaitu, lingustik, manajerial dan instruksional.Kata Kunci : Fungsi pedagogis, tindak tutur, proses belajar dan mengajar This research was a qualitative study which aimed to describe and explain (1) the types of speech acts produced by English teachers (2) how teachers’ speech acts were realized in utterances and (3) the pedagogical functions of teachers’ speech acts produced by English teachers in teaching and learning processes in the classroom at SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi in academic year 2016/2017. The subjects of this study were two English teachers. The data of this study were collected through observation and interview and analyzed by following Miles and Huberman’s (1994) interactive cyclical model. This study found that the teachers produced directives, representatives, commissives, and expressives speech acts in the classroom teaching and learning processes. The most frequently used speech act was directives (55.22%), while the least frequent speech act was commissives (0.65%). There were 28 kinds of illocutionary forces performed by the teachers in teaching and learning processes. Furthermore, the teachers were found to use more direct speech act than the indirect ones in the form of declarative, interrogative, imperative and exclamation. The pedagogical functions of the teachers’ speech acts were broken into three functions, namely linguistics function, managerial function and instructional function.keyword : Pedagogical functions, speech acts, teaching and learning process

Abstract

kompetensi menulis recount text antara siswa yang menulis dengan dikoreksi menggunakan software Ginger Corrector dan siswa yang menulis dengan dikoreksimenggunakan konvensional feedback. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi-Experimental Design yang disebut Post-test only control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas delapan SMP Negeri 1 Ubud dengan sample 64 siswa yang dipilih melalui Purposive Sampling. 32 siswa dari kelas VIII A1 sebegai kelas experimen dimana sofware Ginger Corrector diaplikasikan dan 32 siswa dari kelas VIII A2 sebagai kelas control dimana software Ginger Corrector tidak di aplikasikan. Data diambil melalu tes menulis dengan menggunakan rubric penilaian dan dianalisis menggunakan t-test. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam nilai menulis recount antara siswa yang diajarkan dengan pengaplikasian Ginger Corrector Software dan siswa yang diajarkan tanpa pengaplikasian software Ginger Corrector sebagai alat pengkoreksi Hal ini dibuktikan oleh hasil statistik deskriptif yang menunjukkan nilai rata-rata dari kelompok eksperimen adalah 79,68 sedangkan nilai rata-rata dari kelompok kontrol adalah 72,50. Hasil uji-t juga menunjukkan bahwa nilai tobs lebih tinggi dari tcv. Nilai tobs adalah 4,430 sedangkan nilai tcv adalah 1,6697. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima.Kata Kunci : kompetensi menulis recount teks, CALL, Software Ginger Corrector. This study aimed to investigate whether or not there is any significant difference in the competency of writing recount texts between the students whose writing which is corrected by Ginger Corrector Software and the students whose writing which is corrected by conventional feedback. This study was quasi-experimental design called posttest-only control group design. The population in this study was eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ubud with the sample of 64 students selected by using Purpossive Sampling. 32 students of VIII A1 class were assigned as the experimental class which were taught by applying Ginger Corrector Software and 32 students of VIII A2 class as the control class which were taught without applying Ginger Corrector Software. The data were collected by using writing test with scoring rubric and analyzed by using t-test. The result of the research showed that there was a significant difference in writing score of the eighth grade students who were taught by applying Ginger Corrector Software and those who were taught without applying Ginger Corrector Software. It was proven by the result of the descriptive statistics that showed the mean score of the experimental group was 79.68 while the mean score of the control group was 72.50. The result of the t-test also showed that the value of the tobs was higher than the tcv. The value of the tobs was 4.430 while the value of the tcv was 1.6697. Therefore the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted.keyword : Writing Recount Text Competency, CALL Feedback, Ginger Corrector Software.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkansebuah materi yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar untuk pemandu wisata lokal untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menggunakan Bahasa Inggris dalam berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan wisatawan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model Penelitian dan Pengembangan yang diusulkan oleh Sugiyono (2011). Enam langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini, adalah 1) analisis potensi dan masalah, 2) pengumpulan data, 3) mendesain produk, 4) validasi desain, 5) melaksanakan uji coba produk, dan 6) merevisi produk. Jumlah nilai dari kualitas produk dari kedua ahli adalah 184 dan jumlah nilai tengah adalah 4.6. Berdasarkan kriteria yang diusulkan oleh Nurkancana (1992), kualitas dari Materi percakapan dwi bahasa yang praktis untuk pemandu wisata lokal di objek wisata air terjun Gitgit dikategorikan menjadi sangat baik. Sementara itu, hasil dari uji coba produk untuk pemandu wisata lokal menunjukkan bahwa nilai tengah yang diperoleh adalah 4.93 yang mana ini juga dikategorikan menjadi sangat baik. Maka dari itu materi ini telah siap untuk digunakan oleh pemandu wisata lokal. Kata Kunci : materi dwi bahasa, pemandu wisata lokal, percakapan yang praktis The purpose of this study was to develop a material which can be used as learning source for the local guides in order to enhance their capability in using English in communicating and interacting with the tourist. This study was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D) model that was proposed by Sugiyono (2011). The six steps conducted in this study were 1) analyzing potency and problem, 2) collecting data, 3) designing product, 4) validating design, 5) administering product usability test, and 6) revising product. The total score of the quality of the product from the two experts was 184 and the mean score was 4.6. Based on the criteria proposed by Nurkancana (1992), the quality of the Practical Bilingual Conversation Material for the local guides in gitgit Waterfall tourism object was categorized into excellent. Meanwhile the result of the product testing to the local guides showed that the mean score was 4.93 in which it also categorized into excellent. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan materi pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 yang terdapat dalam rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang direncanakan oleh guru, dan penerapan kegiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 oleh guru dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis isi, dan hasil pengamatan. Analisis isi digunakan untuk menganalisis perencanaan materi pembelajaran, pengamatan dilaksanakan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang implementasi materi pembelajaran. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa inggris dan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah materi pembelajaran dalam perencanaan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru beserta implementasinya di kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan studi dokumen, wawancara dan observasi. Data dianalisis berdasarkan fungsi sosial, unsur kebahasaan, dan struktur teks. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan (1) perencanaan materi pembelajaran direncanakan berdasarkan KI, KD, Indikator, fungsi sosial, unsur kebahasaan dan struktur teks, (2) materi pembelajaran pada perencanaan pelaksanaan pembelajaran tidak spenuhnya dilaksanakan di dalam kelas.Kata Kunci : Kurikulum 2013 ,materi pembelajaran, fungsi sosial, unsur kebahasaan, struktur teks. This study aimed at analyzing the planning of learning materials the teacher’s lesson plans and its implementation in teaching English based on the Curriculum 2013. This study was descriptive qualitative. Content analysis and observational study were used in this research. Content analysis was used for analyzing data about planning of learning materials based on the Curriculum 2013, observational study was conducted in collecting data about implementation of learning materials based on the Curriculum 2013. The subject was the English teacher and the objects of this study were learning materials contained in the teacher’s lesson plan, and implementation in the classroom. The setting of the study was in SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. The data were collected by doing document study, interview, and observation. The data were analysed based on topic, social function, language feature, and text structure. The result of this study shows that (1) The learning materials planned in the lesson plans were planned based on KI, KD, Indicator, social function, language feature and text structure, (2) the learning materials in the lesson plan were not fully implemented in the classroom.keyword : Curriculum 2013, learning materials, social function, language feature, text structure.

Abstract

Penelitian evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013 (K-13) di SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja, dan faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang ditemukan oleh guru dalam melaksanakan K-13. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus yang menggunakan model Discrepancy. Model Discrepancy di mana perhatian utama ditekankan pada perbedaan yang ada dalam kaitannya dengan konteks. Ada dua guru bahasa Inggris yang diambil sebagai subyek penelitian. Dalam pengumpulan data, terdapat dua jenis instrumen yang digunakan, yaitu lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan deskriptif-kualitatif analisis Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa guru bahasa Inggris di SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja memperoleh rerata skor 3 pada pelaksanaan dari maksimum skor 48, Oleh karena itu, mereka dikategorikan kurang dalam aspek menanya dan aspek mengkomunikasikan dalam hal pelaksanaan . Namun, dalam hal mengamati, mengumpulkan informasi, dan menghubungkan mereka dianggap baik. Berdasarkan temuan di wawancara, dapat diidentifikasi bahwa dukungan dari kepala sekolah, staf, dan orang tua serta siswa-siswa dengan respon positif merupakan faktor pendukung dalam melaksanakan K-13. Di sisi lain, kurangnya fasilitas sekolah, perubahan paradigma mengajar, banyaknya jumlah siswa di setiap kelas, dan masalah keuangan merupakan faktor penghambat. Kata Kunci : studi evaluasi, Kurikulum 2013, pendekatan ilmiah, dan discrepancy model This evaluation study aimed at investigating the implementation of Curriculum 2013 (K-13) in SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja, and the supporting and impeding factors found by the teachers in implementing K-13. This study was a case study that used Discrepancy model. Discrepancy model in which the main concern was emphasized on the differences in relation with the context. There were two English teachers taken as the subjects of the study. In collecting the data, two kinds of instruments were used, observation sheets, and interview guide. The data were analyzed by using descriptive-qualitative analysis The results of the data analysis show that the English teachers of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja gained average score 3 on the implementation out of the maximum score 48. Therefore, they were considered poor in terms of the questioning and communicating aspect in terms of the implementation. However, in terms of the observing, collecting information, and associating they were considered good. Based on the findings on the interview, it can be identified that the supports from the headmaster other staff, and students' parents as well as the students' positive response were the supporting factors in implementing K-13. On the other hand, the lack of the school facilities, the change of teaching paradigm, the big number of the students in each class, and the financial problem constituted the impeding factors. keyword : evaluation study, Curriculum 2013, scientific approach, and discrepancy model

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah buku teks tentang kemampuan mendengarkan untuk mata pelajaran kantor depan. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah murid kelas sepuluh SMK Nusa Dua Sawan. Berdasarkan observasi, ditemukan bahwa guru menggunakan buku yang tidak sesuai dengan siswa, karena buku yang digunakan tentang kantor depan secara umum dan tidak mengandung materi mandengarkan. Untuk materi kemampuan mendengarkan, guru mencoba mencari materi di internet. Sekolah tidak memiliki materi mendengarkan yang baik an pasti. Penelitian ini mengadaptasi Dick, Carey and Carey (2005) sebagai maodel. Model yang diadaptasi ini terdiri dari sepuluh langkah, yaitu mengidentifikasi tujuan instruksional, melakukan analisis instruksional, analisis peserta didik dan konteks, tujuan kinerja menulis, mengembangkan instruksi penilaian, mengembangkan desain buku teks, mengembangkan bahan buku teks, merancang dan melakukan evaluasi formatif untuk buku pelajaran, merevisi buku pelajaran, dan produk akhir. Penelitian ini dikatakan sukses apabila penilaian ahli menunjukkan nilai minimal kisaran 3.43-4.23 (baik).Kata Kunci : Buku pelajaran, Kemampuan mendengarkan, Kantor depan, Pengembangan materi This study aimed in developing a textbook of listening skill for front office subject. The subject of this study was tenth grade students of SMK Nusa Dua Sawan. Based on the observation, it was found that the teacher used a book which is not really appropriate with students, because, the book used was general book about front office and does not consist of listening material. For the listening material, the teacher found out the material on the internet. They do not have the good and a definite material for the listening skill.This study adapted research and development design proposed by Dick, Carey and Carey in 2005. The adapted design consisted of ten stages: (1) identifying the instructional goals, (2) conducting the instructional analysis, (3) analysis of learners and context, (4) writing performance objectives, (5) developing assessment instruction, (6) developing design of the textbook, (7) developing the materials of the textbook, (8) designing and conducting formative evaluation for the textbook, (9) revising the textbook, and (10) the final product. The research was considered as a successful study if results of experts’ judgment show a score at least in an interval 3.43-4.23(good).keyword : Textbook, Listening Skill, Front Office, Material Development

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis peminjaman leksikal dan untuk menyelidiki fungsi atau motif dari pengunaan peminjaman leksikal di Blackberry Messenger oleh mahasiswa semester delapan Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi media electronik, lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, rekaman audio. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat tiga proses peminjaman leksikal yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa semester delapan Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Akumulasi data menunjukan bahwa terdapat enam puluh lima (65) kata yang diklasifikasikan sebagai proses impor, dua puluh enam (26) kata yang diklasifikasikan sebagai proses perpaduan pinjaman, dan yang terakhir ada satu (1) kata yang diklasifikasikan sebagai proses penerjemahan pinjaman. Fungsi atau motif dari peminjaman leksikal adalah “kebutuhan” dan “gengsi”, yang mana mereka mengakui meminjam kata-kata tersebut dikarenakan tidak adanya padanan kata yang ada di Bahasa Indonesia dan diharuskan untuk menggunakan kata-kata pinjaman dikarenakan mereka ingin terlihat pintar, keren, dan mempunyai status social yang lebih tinggi di social media. Kata Kunci : Blackberry Meessenger, Peminjaman Leksikal Abstract This study aimed to identify the types of lexical borrowing and to investigate the function or motive of the use of lexical borrowing in Blackberry Messenger by the eighth semester students of English Education Department. This study was conducted in descriptive qualitative design. The instruments used in this study were electronic media, observation sheet, interview guide, and audio recording. The result of this study showed that there were three process of lexical borrowing used by the eighth semester students of English Education Department. The data accumulation showed that there were sixty five (65) words borrowed by importation process, twenty six (26) words borrowed by loanblend process, and one (1) word classified as a of result loan translation process. The functions or motives in using of lexical borrowing were, “need” and “prestige”, in which they admitted borrowing the words because there is no exact equivalent word that exists in Bahasa Indonesia and have to used borrowed words because they want to look smart, being cool, and has higher social status in social media. keyword : Blackberry Messenger, Lexical Borrowing

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki isu-isu rasisme yang terkandung di dalam internet meme komik di 9gag.com melalui analisis tekstual menggunakan teori mythology dari Barthes. kajian ini juga difokuskan untuk menggali tujuan yang di miliki oleh internet meme di 9gag.com. dari hasil kajian ini ditemukan bahwa ada 56 meme yang teridentifikasi sebagai meme yang rasist dalam periode yang sudah di tentukan yaitu pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Mei 2106. Dari data, ditemukan bahwa, meme yang terkumpul bisa di bagi menjadi tiga klasifikasi besar yaitu rasis meme dengan isu politik, rasis meme dengan isu etnis dan rasis meme dengan isu agama. Dalam rasis meme dengan isu politic, bisa di bagi menjadi dua yaitu meme dengan isu politic mendukung pencalonan Donald Trump. dan meme dengan isu politik menolak pencalonan Donald Trump. dalam rasis memedengan isu etnik, dapat di bagi menjadi rasis meme dengan isu etnik menolak orang-orang asia, rasis meme dengan isu etnik menolak orang-orang kulit putih, rasis meme dengan isu etnik mendukung orang-orang kulit putih dan rasis meme dengan isu etnik menolak orang-orang Afro-American. Di dalam rasis meme dengan isu agama, meme itu terdiri dari rasis meme dengan isu agama terkait dengan anti islam.Kata Kunci : internet meme komik, teori mythology oleh Barthes, rasisme, myth. This present study was aimed at investigating racism issues signified in internet meme comic at 9gag.com through textual analysis using Barthes’s theory of mythology. This study also focused to discover the purpose conveyed by the internet meme comic at 9gag.com. The subject of this study was the internet meme comic at 9gag.com¬. It was found that there were 56 meme indicated as racist meme in the period of study that was from March to May 2016. From the data, it found that the meme collected could be divided into three major classifications that were racial meme with political issues, racial meme with ethnicity issues, and racial meme with religious issues. In racial meme with political issues, it could be divided into two that is meme with political issues supporting Donald Trump’s candidacy and meme with political issues against Donald Trump’s candidacy. In racial meme with ethnicity issues, it could be divided into racial meme with ethnicity issues against Asian people, racial meme with ethnicity issues against white people, racial meme with ethnicity issues supporting white people, and racial meme with ethnicity issues against Afro-American people. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan membandingkan sistem fonologis Manikliyu Dialek dan Suter Dialek bahasa Bali: penelitian deskriptif, yang meliputi jenis vokal yang digunakan dalam Manikliyu Dialek dan Suter Dialek dari Bali, jenis konsonan digunakan dalam Manikliyu Dialek dan Suter Dialek Bali dan perbedaan dalam hal pengucapan kata antara Manikliyu dialek dan Suter dialek dari Bali. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Ada tiga informan utama dan beberapa informan sekunder dalam penelitian ini. Data yang diperoleh dikumpulkan berdasarkan tiga teknik, yaitu observasi, wordlist, dan panduan wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada 10 jenis vokal di Manikliyu Dialek, ada 8 jenis vokal di Suter Dialek, ada 19 jenis konsonan di Manikliyu dialek, ada 19 jenis konsonan di Suter Dialek dan ada 62 jenis kata memiliki pengucapan perbedaan dalam hal vokal dan konsonan mereka antara Manikliyu dan Suter Dialek.Kata Kunci : fonologi, vokal, konsonan, perbedaan dalam hal pengucapan kata antara Manikliyu Dialek dan Suter Dialek dari Bali. This study aimed at describing comparing the phonological system of Manikliyu Dialect and Suter Dialect of Balinese language: a descriptive study, which covered the types of vowels used in Manikliyu Dialect and Suter Dialect of Balinese, the types of consonants used in Manikliyu Dialect and Suter Dialect of Balinese and the differences in terms of word pronunciation between Manikliyu Dialect and Suter Dialects of Balinese. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. There were three main informants and several secondary informants in this research. The obtained data were collected based on three techniques, namely observation, wordlist, and interview guide. The results of the data analysis show that there are 10 types of vowels in Manikliyu Dialect, there are 8 types of vowels in Suter Dialect, there are 19 types of consonants in Manikliyu dialect, there are 19 types of consonant in Suter Dialect and there are 62 kinds of words have a differences pronunciation in terms of their vowels and consonants between Manikliyu and Suter Dialects. keyword : phonology, vowel, consonant, differences in terms of word pronunciation between Manikliyu Dialect and Suter Dialects of Balinese.
