Abstract

This research consisted of two stages.The first stage aimed to find out the best weight of cocoa pod husk powder used in the manufacture of instant beverages of functional cocoa pod husk. The results of antioxidant capacity and total phenol analysis suggested that the use of dried cocoa pod husk with ethanol as the solvent has the highest level of both antioxidant capacity and total phenols. The second stage aimed to find out the levels of total phenols and antioxidant capacity of the instant beverages made from various extracts of cocoa pod husk. This study used a Completely Randomized design (CRD) with four levels of cocoa pod husk weight i.e. 5 g, 10 g, 15 g and 20 g as the treatments.   Maltodextrin (20 g) and sucrose (10 g) were added during the process of concentrating the instant beverage. The use of 20 g cocoa pod husk resulted in highest total phenol and antioxidant capacity. Best concentration of total phenol and antioxidant are produced from 10 g cacao pod husk extract.  Therefore, this extract is used as a guide in making instant drinks.

Abstract

This study aim was to determine the value added derived from green beans when processed into pia cakes at An-Nur Home Industry in Palu. The location was purposely chosen with the consideration that the home industry was the central production of pia cakes. Respondents in this study were the leader and three employees of the home industry which address is BTN Palupi Block I1 No. 12 South Palu Sub District of Palu. Primary and secondary data collected were analyzed using value added analysis according to Hayami method.  The research results showed that the value added generated by the home industry was IDR 76,091.67 kg-1 with the value added ratio of 72%.  This value indicates that for every IDR 100 of the pia product value increase will result in the value added of IDR 72.

Abstract

This study aim is to determine the income of farmers in managing the coconuts into the copra and analyzing of added value that can be created to manage the coconut into the copra. This research was conducted in the Bolubung village of North Bulagi Subdistrict of Banggai Islands  Regency. This location of research was done by purposive with the consideration that the Bolubung village is one of  Village of Oil Production Centers. The timing of the study began in October to November 2014. The analytical tool used is a the income and added Value analysis. The Results showed that the average income whose got a coconut farmer's from the sale of copra of Rp 4,535,757 and added value obtained coconut farm in the village of Bolubung is Rp 955 per kilogram with an output value that is of Rp 1,260 and the value of the input of Rp 305.

Abstract

The aim of the study was (i) to analyse the income of oil palm farm of the Iga and Plasma groups, and (ii) to analyse the comparation of the income of oil palm farm of the both of groups.  The respondents were farmers of oil palm of the both of groups.  The respondents were taken by technique of unproportionally stratified random sampling.  There are 130 population of the farmer of oil palm whom consist of 60 farmers of the Iga group, and 70 of the Plasma group.  For every group was taken 15 respondents as sample.  Methods of analyses  used were the analyses of income, and the analyses   of comparation.  Analysis results showed that the average income of Iga group  of oil palm farmers was greater than plasma group, i.e. IRD 2.13 million per ha vs IRD 1.71 million per ha.  Thus, there was sifnificantly difference between the income of Iga group and Plasma group.  It was indicated by t-hit > t-tab(?=1%; df=29), i.e. 19.356 vs 2.763.  It means that Ho is rejected, and H1 is verified that there was sifnificantly difference between the income of the both groups that the income of Iga group of oil palm farmers was greater than plasma group

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas beberapa tepung biji tumbuhan sebagai insektisida botani terhadap Tribolium sp. pada biji kakao di penyimpanan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako Palu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pola faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor, yaitu sebagai berikut : Faktor pertama adalah jenis tepung tumbuhan, yaitu : T1 : Tepung biji srikaya, T2: Tepung biji jarak, T3:Tepung biji bengkuang. Faktor kedua adalah dosis tepung tumbuhan, yaitu : D0 : 0g/100g  kakao (kontrol), D1: 2g/100g kakao, D2 : 4g/100g kakao, D3 : 6g/100g kakao.  Perlakuan diulang 3 kali sehingga terdapat 36 unit percobaan.     Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tepung biji bengkuang cenderung menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan tepung biji srikaya dan tepung biji jarak  terhadap mortalitas Tribolium sp. dan menekan kehilangan  biji kakao di penyimpanan.  Dosis 6 gram pada semua perlakuan jenis tepung biji menunjukkan hasil yang efektif terhadap mortalitas Tribolium sp.

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi benih Fakultas Pertanian Untad bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui toleransi padi gogo lokal Tanangge terhadap kekeringan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 taraf pemberian tekanan osmosis larutan Polyethylene glycol (PEG) 6000 yaitu :tanpa pemberian larutan PEG (kontrol), - 1 bar, - 2 bar, - 3 bar dan - 4 bar, setiap perlakuan diulangi sebanyak 5 kali sehingga terdapat 25 satuan percobaan.  Setiap satuan percobaan menggunakan uji kertas digulung didirikan dalam plastik (UKDp) dimana setiap unit menggunakan 50 benih.  Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan perbedaan antar perlakuan yang dicobakan ditentukan dengan uji BNJ 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Uji cekaman kekeringan dengan penggunaan larutan PEG 6000 mengindikasikan padi gogo lokal Tanangge toleran terhadap kekeringan yang ditunjukkan oleh kecepatan berkecambah, waktu berkecambah, persentase kecambah normal, panjang plumula, rasio panjang akar per panjang plumula dan kandungan prolin bebas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Desa Sritaba?ang Kecamatan Bolano Kabupaten Parigi Mautong dari bulan Februari sampai dengan bulan April 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor internal dan faktor eksternal dalam pengembangan usahatani  kakao  dan strategi apa yang tepat untuk  pengembangan tanaman  kakao  Desa Sritaba?ang Kecamatan Bulano Kabupaten Parigi Moutong.Jumlah responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sejumlah 44 orang yang masing-masing terdiri atas 2 orang PPL, 2 orang pengusaha kakao yang ditentukan secara Purposive (Secara sengaja), serta 40 orang petani kakao yang pengambilan sampelnya di ambil dengan menggunakan proportionalstratified random sampling.  Data yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara tersebut kemudian di analisa menggunakan analisis SWOT.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  Faktor internal yang mempengaruhi pengembangan tanaman kakao di Desa Sritaba?ang adalah : (1) Kesesuaian dan Ketersediaan Lahan untuk Tanaman Kakao, (2) Frekuensi Penyuluhan, (3) Produktivitas Potensial Tinggi, (4) Modal, (5) Ketersedian Teknologi, (6) Serangan Hama/Penyakit. Sedangkan,  faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi pengembangan tanaman kakao di Desa Sritaba?ang adalah :   (1) Permintaan Pasar Tinggi, (2) Iklim, (3) Infrastruktur Tersedia, (4) Alih Fungsi Lahan, (5) Penebangan Hutan, (6) Kebijakan Pemerintah.   Pengembangan kakao di Desa Sritaba?ang Kecamatan Bolano Kabupaten Parigi Moutong berada pada titik (-0,30.1,55) yang terletak pada kuadran III.  Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa dalam mengembangkan usahanya para petani kakao memiliki peluang pasar yang besar namun, masih memiliki beberapa kendala internal.  Strategi yang sesuai untuk pengembangan usahatani  kakao di Desa Sritaba?ang Kecamatan Bolano Kabupaten Parigi Moutong adalah strategi WO. (1) Meningkatkan penggunaan  modal untuk memanfaatkan permintaan pasar yang tinggi.  (2) Meningkatkan ketersediaan teknologi untuk mamanfaatkan infrastruktur dan permintaan pasar. (3) Meminimalkan serangan hama penyakit untuk memanfaatkan iklim sesuai dengan tanaman kakao.

Abstract

This research consisted of two stages, the first stage aimed to determine the best type of liquid organic fertilizer which can be used in fertilizing of tomato plants. The second stages aimed to determine the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer which can be applied to tomato plants. This research aimed to investigate the responses of tomato plant (Solanum licopersicum Mill.) in terms of its production and quality with the addition of two types of liquid organic fertilizers at different concentrations. This research used a Randomized Completely Block design (RAB) with seven treatments replicated four times.  The largest tomato fruit production was found in the organic fertilizer treatment of gremont at concentration of 2.4 ml / 80 ml water, whereas the effect on the quality of the tomato such as average tomato fruit diameter and Vitamin C content was not significant.

Abstract

The aims of this study are the amount of raw material ordering, amount of supply raw materials and time to do a re-ordering of the raw material supply in Industry "Cita Rasaku". Data analysis tool used in this study are EOQ (Economic Order Quantity), Safety stock and Reorder Point. The results showed that the amount of the economical purchase of seaweed raw materialsby using EOQ analysis of raw material inventory at Cita Industry Rasaku for February to May 2014 are 460.93 kg, 354.56 kg, 419.52 kg, and 454.48 kg.Safety stock that should be always available in the warehouse at Cita Rasaku industry is 50 kg.Reorder point should be done by Cita Rasaku Industry are  59.22 kg in February, 57.09 kg in March, 58.39 kg in April and 59.09 kg in May.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of input and determine the level of efficiency of use of inputs of land, seed, labor, fertilizer Phonska, ZA, Pearl fertilizer, and fertilizer to the production of KCl Watermelon in Maranatha Village District Biromaru Sigi Sigi. The research was conducted at Maranatha Village District Biromaru Sigi Sigi. Respondents were 36 people, which was conducted by the census. Analysis tool used is the Cobb-Douglass Production Function and Efficiency Analysis. The results showed simultaneously all the independent variables (X) effect nayata the dependent variable (Y). partial land area (X1), seeds (X2), labor (X3), fertilizer Phonska (X4), ZA (X5), fertilizer Pearl (X6), and KCl (X7) significantly affect the production of watermelon in the Village Maranatha District Biromaru Sigi Sigi sig value 0.000 <0.01 at ? 1%. Efficiency analysis results show the value of the variable k land, seed, labor, fertilizer Phonska, ZA, fertilizer Pearls, and KCl show number > 1, meaning that all inputs used in the production of watermelon farming in Maranatha Village District Sigi Sigi Biromaru in terms of the price of each input production efficiency declared yet.
