Abstract

This  research cal to determine soil physical properties on some land uses in the watershed (DAS) Tawaeli Palu City. Research carried out in watersheds the Tawaeli 8 units of dryland farming, shrubs, primary forestwith three classes of slopes included0-8%, 8-15% and 15-25%.     soil analysis is done in soil science laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, tadulako university.         This research was conducted in December 2017 until April 2018. Determination of soil sample Location taken for analyse laboratory determined in the Purposive Sampling as much 8 sample poin. Research results show the physical properties DAS Tawaeli units of dryland farming, shrubs, primary forestwith each slope different, have diverse soil physical properties found in some of     the land uses studied in DAS tawaeli. The soil fraction is dominated by sand and dust with clay texture class, dusty clay and sand clay. have low to very high organic materials, hydraulic conductivitymoderate to moderately fast, weight volume medium to heavy, porosity is very          bad     to bad, field capacity and low to high saturated water content, limits of liquid and medium    to high plastic.

Abstract

Arenga  is one of the strategic commodities that has to be developed, this plant has high economic value and  well known  to most Indonesian.  In Ambesia village,  Arenga sap is used by combining with other materials and processed traditionally, resulting  to a typical snack and commonly called Tapo Sugar. This study aimed to develop a marketing strategy for Tapo sugar product by identifying the internal and external factors that affect marketing of sugar tapo and also analyze alternative strategy for marketing tapo Sugar from Ambesia village. Results obtained with a coordinates analysis that the alternative strategy is in quadrant I, which indicates that the right strategy is the strategy of SO (Strength-Opportunity) called also an aggressive strategy, namely (i) improve the quality of the workforce through training effort that able to encourage local communities to create job, (ii) to maximize the utilization of raw material which is adequate in the village, (iii) maintain the authentic flavor of Tapo suger for attracting agro-tourism and market at national level, (iv) innovate new flavors to become an agro competitive product

Abstract

Desa Randomayang merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Bambalamotu yang memiliki produksi padi sawah yang cukup besar dibandingkan desa-desa lain yang berada di Kecamatan Bambalamotu. Besarnya produksi padi sawah yang diperoleh belum menjamin tingginya pndapatan yang diterima oleh petani. Produksi padi sawah yang diperoleh di Desa Randomayang cukup tidak berarti pendapatan yang diperoleh juga tinggi, sehingga diperlukan suatu penelitian analisis pendapatan dan kelayakan uasahatani padi sawah di Desa Randomayang. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui besarnya pendapatan dan kelayakan usahatani padi sawah yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2013. Penentuan lokasi di lakukan secara sengaja (purposive) dengan pertimbangan bahwa Desa Randomayang merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil padi sawah dengan produktivitas 4,85 ton/ha. Penentuan responden dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode sampel acak sederhana (Simple Random Sampling). Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 31 responden KK petani dari 154 KK petani (20%) yang mengusahakan padi sawah. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis pendapatan (?) dan kelayakan. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa rata-rata pendapatan petani padi sawah untuk satu kali musim tanam di Desa Randomayang Kecamatan Bambalamotu Kabupaten Mamuju Utara sebesar Rp. 3.819.021,38/0,74 ha/MT atau Rp. 5.147.376,65 ha/MT. Hasil analisis menunjukkan Revenue of Cost Ratio usahatani padi sawah diperoleh sebesar 1,56. Dengan demikian, usahatani padi sawah di Desa Randomayang layak untuk diusahakan, dengan nilai rasio a > 1.

Abstract

Usaha Abon UKM Mutiara ?Hj. Mbok Sri? di Kota Palu merupakan salah satu industri rumah tangga.UKM ini merupakan salah satu industri yang memproduksi produk abon sapi di Kota Palu.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan usaha abon sapi pada UKM Mutiara ?Hj. Mbok Sri?, serta manfaat dari penelitian ini memberikan masukan bagi program usaha abon sapi pada  UKM Mutiara  ?Hj. Mbok Sri? dalam menentukan arah dan pedoman pengembangan usaha. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor perkembangan usaha abon sapi pada UKM Mutiara ?Hj. Mbok Sri? yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal memiliki total nilai sebesar 3,4 dengan skor kekuatan 2,36 dan skor kelemahan 1,04. Hal ini menunjukkan faktor kekuatan yang dimiliki lebih besar dari faktor kelemahan, sedangkan untuk faktor eksternal memiliki total nilai sebesar 3,23 dengan skor peluang 2,21 dan skor ancaman 1,02. Hal ini menunjukkan faktor peluang yang dimiliki lebih besar dari faktor ancaman, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa alternatif strategi yang digunakan untuk pengembangan usaha abon sapi pada UKM Mutiara ?Hj. Mbok Sri? yaitu dengan menggunakan strategi SO dimana usaha abon sapi pada UKM Mutiara ?Hj. Mbok Sri? dapat menciptakan strategi yang menggunakan kekuatan untuk memanfaatkan peluang yang ada.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the effect of tuber size and rates of K fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot (var. Lembah Palu). The site of this research was in Guntarano village, Tanantovea  Sub District of Donggala District.  This research began from June 2013 to August 2013. A randomized block design was used in this research which used two factors namely tuber size  and rates of Kalium. The tuber size consisted of two levels, small tuber (U1= 1.7-2.3g tuber-1) and large tuber (U2= 2.4-3.0 g tuber-1). The K fertilizer consisted of four rates i.e. 100 kg ha-1 K2O  (K1), 150 kg ha-1 K2O (K2),  200 kg ha-1 K2O (K3), and 250 kg ha-1 K2O (K4). The research treatments were replicated three times. This research  showed that the tuber size significantly affected all growth and yield parameters except plant height. The large tubers resulted in better growth than the small tubers. While K rates showed significant effect on all growth and yield parameters except shoot numbers. The K fertilizer applied at the rate of 100 kg ha-1 and 250 kg ha-1 showed greater yield than the others. There was an interaction effects between tuber size and the rates of K fertilizer for all growth and  yield parameters, except leaf number, shoot number and tuber diameter. The small tuber size applied with 100 kg K ha-1 and the large tuber size applied with 250 kg K ha-1 vindicated greater growth and production of shallot plant (var. Lembah Palu).

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the resistance of several genotype of local Banggai rice crop to brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stall). This research was carried out at the screen house of pest and diseases plant Laboratory Agriculture Faculty Tadulako University, Palu,on September 2014 to January 2015. Four genotypes of local Banggai rice plant (Njengi, Habo, Ranta and Sampara), were tested  that performed, there are three genotypes (Njengi, Ranta, and Sampara) moderately resistantto brown planthopper,and one genotype (Habo),was  categories of moderately susceptibleto brown planthopper.The highest damage level was shown by genotype Habo ( 65 % ), and the lowest were Njengi and Sampara genotype ( 59 % ).

Abstract

Marketing is all the activities related to the business of marketing products, including related marketing agencies path before it reached the hands of consumers, tempeh is almost always through intermediaries. Path traversed by the products of producers with or without intermediaries to reach the consumers known to form marketing channels. Tempe sold with a simple form of marketing channels, starting from middlemen, retailers up to end consumers. This study aims to determine the form of marketing channels tempe on Home Industry "Multi Barokah" in the city of Palu, knowing the amount of margin and efficiency of marketing tempe on Home Industry "Multi Barokah" in Palu. Respondent committed intentionally (purposive) that one person led to the consideration that the respondents know everything related to the company, especially marketing. Determination respondents traders used assessment method (Tracing Method), in order to obtain each of 4 people middlemen and retailers. The results showed that there are three forms of marketing channels tempe on Home Industry "Multi Barokah" in Palu, a) Producers à Middlemen à Retailers à Consumers, b) Producers à Middlemen à Consumers, c) Producers à Retailers à Consumers. Total margin on the first line of Rp.2.000 for the second line of  Rp.1.000 and the total margin for the third channel of Rp.2.500 Part of the price received by producers in the first marketing channels by 80% for the second line of 88.89% and part of the price received by producers for the third marketing channels by 80%, it indicates that part of the price received by producers on both channels is greater than the first and third channels. The results showed also that the value of the first channel marketing efficiency 9.50% the second channel at 11.66% and the marketing efficiency  value for the third channel of 7.27%. The value of the efficiency of the three marketing channels shows that the third channel is more efficient than the first and second channels.

Abstract

Onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) is one of the commodities that potential especially in the city of Palu. However, in cultivation, red onions have a lot of problems especially L.chinensis pests. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using yellow sticky traps and pesticides in controlling plant LASEKI L.chinensis the crop shallot Local Palu. This study uses a randomized block design tersiri of 2 factors and repeated 4 times. The first factor is the concentration of insecticide LASEKI plant consisting of 3 levels ie: L0 = no LASEKI vegetable insecticides, L1 = 5%, L2 = 10%. The second factor is the use of traps consisting of 2 levels ie P1 = use yellow sticky traps, P2 = The use of transparent sticky traps. Based on those two factors, the obtained 6 treatment combinations with 4 times as many replications. Each treatment there were 10 clumps, so there are 240 family units experiment. The results showed that there was no interaction between treatment sticky traps (P) with botanical pesticides LASEKI the number and amount of imago L.chinensis were caught on sticky traps. Treatment with vegetable insecticide concentration LASEKI 5% (L1) and 10% (L2) is effective in suppressing the number korokan L. chinensis and also effectively increases the production of onion crop. The use of yellow sticky traps (P1) effectively reduces the number of L. chinensis who snore leeks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk saluran pemasaran, margin pemasaran, bagian harga yang diterima petani pada masing-masing saluran dan efisiensi pemasaran Cabai Merah Keriting. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sidera Kecamatan Sigi Biromaru Kabupaten Sigi.Mengambil sebanyak 33 responden dari 50 petani dengan menggunakan metode sampel acak sederhana. Untuk menetukan responden pedagang digunakan metode penjajakan responden dengan pedagang pengumpul sebanyak 2 orang dan pedagang pengecer sebenyak 2 orang. Jumlah keseluruhan responden sebanyak 37 responden.Hasil analisis menunjukan total margin pemasaran cabai merah keriting yang diperoleh untuk saluran pertama Rp 6.000,00 total margin pemasaran cabai merah keriting yang diperoleh untuk saluran kedua yaitu sebesar Rp 2.000,00. Bagian harga yang diterima petani pada saluran pertama sebesar 89,47%. Bagian harga yang diterima petani pada saluran kedua sebesar 90%. Dengan demikian, bagian harga yang paling besar diterima petani adalah pada saluran kedua. Adapun saluran pemasaran Cabai Merah Keriting di Desa Sidera ada dua  saluran : Petani          Pedagang Pengumpul         Pedagang  Pengecer      Konsumen.Petani          Pedagang Pengecer      Konsumen. Pemasaran pada saluran II lebih efisien daripada saluran I, karena bagian harga yang diterima petani di saluran II lebih besar daripada saluran I.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman pada pengembangan produk olahan rotan industri meubel Kaili Jaya dan merumuskan strategi pengembangan produk olahan rotan industri meubel Kaili Jaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada industri meubel Kaili Jaya. Penentuan responden dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive) yaitu, 1 pimpinan industri meubel Kaili Jaya, 2  tenaga kerja industri meubel Kaili Jaya, 1 pesaing, dan 1 konsumen. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara langsung dengan responden menggunakan daftar pertanyaan (Quisioner). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan produk olahan rotan industri meubel Kaili Jaya. Bahwa nilai kekuatan bobot X rating sebesar 2,15, sedangkan nilai kelemahan bobot X rating sebesar 0,65 maka diperoleh nilai X sebagai Sumbu horizontal yaitu, 2,15?0,65 = 1,50. Bahwa nilai peluang bobot X rating sebesar 2,02 sedangkan nilai ancaman bobot X rating sebesar 0,86 maka diperoleh nilai Y sebagai sumbu vertikal yaitu, 2,02-0,86 = 1,16. Strategi yang digunakan industri Kaili Jaya berada pada kuadran I atau pada posisi growth oriented strategy. Hal ini memberikan indikasi bahwa stategi pengembangan produk olahan rotan industri meubel Kaili Jaya berada dalam keadaan menguntungkan, dimana usaha ini memiliki kekuatan yang bisa memanfaatkan peluang yang dimiliki dalam usaha.
