Abstract

ABSTRACT Agroforestry is the metode for the forest land management. In agroforestry the society use the land with many kind of plant like the wood forest ( Mahoni, Jati, Sengon, Suren Gaharu Dll ) and the Multi Purpose Tree Species. Within this system, the forest is planted with various kinds of crop plants such as cacao, coconut, Jack fruit, sukun, etc). Beside those trees, there can be growth also other annual trees such as polowijo, empon-empon, and horticulture). The aim of Agroforestry is to optimize the use of space horizontally and vertically, either on the soil or under the soil, so that the soil nutrient and the sunlight can be used maximally. The application of Agroforestry pattern can be done in the general forest means the forest that is built independently by the society or the forest which is built in the productive forest area. This Agroforestry pattern is designed to produce logs and other commodities which can increase the income and the welfare of the society themselves. This Agroforestry system has many advantages: (1) this system makes the soil quality fertile because of the increasing organic material. (2) Ecologically, the shading of trees gives maximum protection for the soil from the risk of erosion due to rains. (3) The society who applies the system has strong bonding psychologically with the forest so that they have fully responsibility managing the forest start from the preparation, plantation, maintenance, and harvesting. The society has strong motivation to keep the forest. The forestry department and other people who are concern towards the work of people around the forest have chosen Agroforestry activity as the main activity. By this activity, the people are expected to do productive activities within the area of the forest, so that people or society will be more well-fare. When the society is well-fare, the pressure toward the forest will be decreased. Key words: Public forest, the society around the forest, Agroforestry system.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to know the influence of organic pesticide and number of seedling per hole to the disease intensity of Brown Spot (Drechslera oryzae) on Rice Plant. "This research have been conducted on Apryl 26th until July 30th 2008 in Kateguhan village, Tawangsari subdistrik, Sukoharjo Regency, with the place hight 90 meters above the sea level and latosol of soil type. This research used factorial method bassed on Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), consisted of two treatment factors and three replications. The first factor were kind of organic pesticide (M), consisted of four kind (M0= without of organic pesticide, M1 = using organic pesticide from leaf sirih, M2 = using organic pesticide from cayenne fruit and M3 = using organic pesticide from clove leaf). The second factor were number of see per hole (J) consisted of three level (J1 = 1 seedling/hole,        J2 = 2 seedling/hole and J3 = 3 seedling/ hole). Parameters observed are the disease intensity Brown Spot, height of plant, fresh weight of biomass, dry weight of biomass, weight of grain per stool and weight of grain per plot. Kind of organic pesticide treatment influence for the all parameters. Number of seedling per hole treatment influence for the all parameters. The are no interactions between kind of organic pesticide and Number of seedling per hole treatment for the all parameters. Disease intensity Brown Spot (Drechslera oryzae) lowest at treatment combination M3J2 (organic pesticide from clove flower and 2 seedling per hole), 3,33%. Weight of grain highest 1.77 g/plot (14,74 ton/ha), rached from treatment combination M3J2 (organic pesticide from clove flower and 2 seedling per hole).

Abstract

INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan : untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk urea, jarak tanam, dan interaksi antara dosis pupuk urea dan jarak tanam, yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas jagung hibrida P-21. secara optimum. Penelitian lapangan disusun secara faktorial menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) terdiri dari 12 kombinasi perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Ragam, yang dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Jujur pada taraf nyata 5% dan Analisis Regresi dan Korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa :.  dosis urea terbaik pada penelitian ini adalah 450 kg/ha, sedangkan  jarak tanam terbaik adalah 70 x 30 cm, karena dapat menghasilkan tongkol terpanjang, yaitu rata-rata 18,95 cm, namun tidak terjadi interaksi nyata antara dosis pupuk urea dan jarak tanam  terhadap seluruh paramater yang diamati.   Kata kunci : Dosis pupuk urea, jarak tanam, dan produktivitas

Abstract

INTISARI Budidaya gandum di Indonesia masih terbatas. Suhu dan kelembaban tinggi memicu berkembangnya Helminthosporium sorokinianum penyebab penyakit  bercak daun pada tanaman gandum. Pengendalian hayati dicoba menggunakan  mikroba filoplen yang bersifat antagonis terhadap Helminthosporium sorokinianum. Isolat patogen diambil dari daun gandum yang terinfeksi. Isolat mikroba filoplen dibiakkan dari daun yang sehat pada tanaman yang sakit. Uji antagonisme dilakukan dengan menumbuhkan isolat patogen dan isolat mikroba antagonis dalam media Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). Ada 4 macam mikroba filopen yang berasal dari daun gandum yaitu : Trichoderma sp, Alternaria sp, Tilletia sp dan bakteri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Trichoderma sp dapat menekan intensitas penyakit bercak daun dan lebih efektif dibandingkan bakteri. Kata kunci: Helminthosporium sorokinianum, antagonis, filoplen

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hydroponics is  the  cultivation  system  with  growing  media other than soil like gravel. sand, charcoal, charcoal husk, broken bricks and others. Hydroponic systems all nutritional needs made ​​available in the right quantity and concentration of plant growth and development so that we can be cultivated to grow and develop properly. Nutrition administered through the media in different ways, there are watered by the media, flow, drip systems and others. Many formulas that can be used in plant cultivation system hidoponik namely: netherland standard formula, formula kuwait, Bengal formula, formula florida and finished materials. For starters it is a formula that has been so highly recommended because it is uncomplicated and easy to apply. Key word : nutritional formulation  hydroponic system

Abstract

ABSTRACT The main issue of the research is that there is a fact about women having a double role in life which are as a housewife and an extra breadwinner. The aim of the research is to find out how far the role and the contribution of pedestrian women in fullfilling the family needs. The method of the research is using description analysis. Respondents are taken district of Polokarto of Mranggen village and Polokarto village. The used analysis method is tabulation analysis. The results gained from the research are: The women contribution income toward the family expenses in Mranggen village is 48,61 percent, while in Polokarto Village is 48,49 percent. These things show us that mother's contribution in improving family's life is important and big.The general main reason of working mother is to support family life.The response of father and children toward working mom is largely positive.   Key words : Wife, work and income
