Abstract

ABSTRACT Ginger ( Zingber officinale ), is a rhizome plant that is very popular as a spice and medicinal materials. Institut Pertanian Bogor ( IPB ), through its center for the  study  of Biofarma conduct research that giger is very useful for health. According to Prof Ir Dr K Darusman Latifah, Head IPB Biofarma Studies Center, assisted by two of his staff, namely Rudi Heryanto, SSi, MSi (active ingredient separation expert) and Dr Min Rahminiwati (pharmacologists): ginger no harmful effects to be generated by the chemical components in ginger for its use conducted in accordance with the recommendation. Bioactive compounds contained in ginger (gingerol or atsiri oil ) is a thermo labile compound gingerol can survive until the temperature of 100 degrees Celsius. In a monograph, mentioned that the use of ginger powder orally at levels of 2 grams per day (in a single dose or divided into several times) can be done in the not-limited. The use of ginger powder at doses of 6 grams per day can cause stomach irritation. In preclinical both in vitro and in vivo, ginger has been shown to have effects Antimicrobial, antifungal, antihelmintic, antioxidant, antiimflamation, anticancer, imunomodulatory, antilipidemic, analgesic, and has a protective effect on the digestive tract. While in the clinical most obvious effect of ginger is to relieve symptoms of nausea in pregnant women. For other effects such as preventing nausea after surgery, preventing carsick, seasick, airsick and osteoarthritis, a clinical study until now is quite effective, ginger is believed to replace aspirin and similar drugs. Abstract

ABSTRACT Wet noodle is popular food in the world. Wet noodle has a sufficiently high water content, so wet noodle can’t storage a long time. Sometimes, people add a dangerous chemicals for preservative the wet noodle. But the dangerous chemicals maybe causes negative effect for we health. This watchfulness aims to look for alternative natural food addition ingredient safe for human and can the functional value increase, especially for noodle product. White curcuma is one of spices, which became alternative food-stuff for noodle product. These plants contain compound antioksidant and other compound that can to give added value for product even can depress growth microbiology in noodle product. Besides turmeric can  make coloring in the noodle. White curcuma extract (10 mg per kg ingredient) can to depress growth mikrobia if compared with white curcuma extract 0 mg and 5 mg per kg ingredient. Mount of total microbe in noodle with 10 mg curcuma extract, showed more less than the others. Water degrees analysis result, ash degrees, degrees protein, noodle elasticity shows that more increasing extract causes the water degree extract increasing, protein, ash and elsatisitas more increase. Analysis organoleptik result show that panelist prefers noodle without turmeric extract increasing and white tumeric. Although extract increasing until 10 mg per kg ingredient, still to liked by panelist. Keyword : Noodle, white curcuma, total microbe

Abstract

ABSTRACT In order to rehabilitate forest with reboisation, Indonesian forestry department has established 6,2 millions acre of Industrial plants forest located on endanger land and infertile forest. The bad condition of the soil, which will be used for HTI, will raise problem for the growth of the plants themselves. The problem rises because the plants need nutrition in a great number and an immediate term. Generally, nutrition is given easily and immediately by giving artificial fertilizer such as; Urea, KCl, SP-36, etc. However, this method has some weaknesses. Firstly, it costs greater number of money. On the other hand, it arouses another environment problem because the fertilizers are easily washed so that it will cause eutrification. Another safer approach is needed based on the problem arose by the method of giving fertilizer. Following biosfer process is one of the naturally method which is good to increase the growth of the plants. There is also a proper and suitable alternative option by using microorganism. Microorganisms which live in the soil play important roles in the process of organic decomposition, so that it can be used by the plants to support their growth. Some of the microorganisms form micoriza fungus. They make mutualism symbiosis with various kinds of plants in the forest. Those symbioses increase or alter the existence of nutrition in the soil, so that it can be used by the plants. By this special ability, micoriza microorganism becomes very helpful in increasing the growth of the plants. On the other hands, it also protects the plants from the pathogen attack and increased the survival ability of the plants themselves from the dryness. This method can be done by giving inoculums of micoriza during the seeds and after planting on the field. This method is expected to be the helpful solution to in setting the growth of Industrial Plant forest and other kinds of forest. Key words: Forestry plants, Micoriza microorganism, mutualism symbiosis.
