Abstract

Technology is now an indispensable part of work across all fields and locations. For instance, in fish cultivation and among ornamental fish enthusiasts, technology plays a pivotal role in regulating and notifying when ornamental fish's environmental conditions require attention. This includes monitoring and alerting for cleaning or feeding needs. Ornamental fish are particularly sensitive, often carrying a higher price tag. Due to their susceptibility to stress and their relatively costly nature, those involved in ornamental fish cultivation and collection frequently face significant losses. These losses can occur when fish are collected, raised, and fall ill or, in the worst-case scenario, die. In response to these challenges, technological innovations have emerged to simplify the monitoring of ornamental fish's environmental conditions. This is achieved through IoT-based solutions accessible anytime and anywhere via the web. These innovations incorporate three primary sensors: pH sensors, clarity sensors, and temperature sensors. Additionally, Thingsboard is used to facilitate real-time monitoring of sensor data. These aquarium monitoring systems for ornamental fish hold the potential to enhance fish welfare and health, mitigate risks, and provide hobbyists and professionals with a more effective and informed experience in maintaining ornamental fish. However, it's important to note that the success of this system relies heavily on the quality of hardware, meticulous software development, and a profound understanding of the specific needs of ornamental fish

Abstract

The significance of occupational health in culinary settings, particularly kitchens, is paramount due to the inherent health risks associated with these environments. This study addresses the necessity of maintaining optimal environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and air quality, in kitchens to safeguard worker health. To achieve this, the study advocates for the implementation of sophisticated ventilation and air conditioning systems. The core focus of the research is the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and advanced machine learning algorithms for the real-time monitoring and assessment of kitchen environments. Specifically, the study fine-tunes and evaluates several classification algorithms, including Decision Trees (DT), Support Vector Machines (SVM), and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), aiming to accurately predict and manage kitchen conditions. The comparative analysis reveals that the DT algorithm outperforms others, demonstrating exceptional accuracy (97.41%), precision (95.35%), and proficiency in identifying relevant scenarios (88.57%). In contrast, the KNN algorithm registers the lowest accuracy (75.12%), while the SVM algorithm, despite being the least precise (86.55%), shows a relatively higher capability in recognizing pertinent cases (86.55%) compared to KNN (72.33%). This study underscores the potential of integrating IoT and machine learning in enhancing occupational health standards in kitchen settings.

Abstract

Information technology is developing rapidly and has a significant role in various aspects, one of which is making decisions to evaluate employee performance. Employee performance assessment is an important activity and is often carried out by companies to determine employee performance in a certain period. A company's progress is greatly influenced by the good and bad of the system that is running. The decision support system can improve and influence the assessment of existing performance in the company. If the decision support system is inadequate, it can lead to errors in decision-making. This research was conducted at PT. App Inti provides enthusiasm and motivation to employees, and the company performs performance assessments every six months, which will influence the adjustment of employee salary increases. However, the current assessment process still uses simple methods and often experiences difficulties assessing performance, making the assessments less effective. Because errors and inaccuracies often occur during assessments, to make it easier for companies to make decisions and help solve these problems, a decision support system was designed using the TOPSIS method. The TOPSIS is a multi-attribute decision-making method often used to complete practical decisions. Then, the results can be considered and help the company determine a decision based on the alternatives and criteria that the company has decided. Then, the results of this research can help companies determine which employees are more visible during the assessment. Then, the TOPSIS ranking results are used to adjust salary increases that have been selected by the company, thereby helping companies make decisions more quickly. Keywords: Performance Appraisal, Decision Support System, TOPSIS

Abstract

Abstract—Waste disposal continues to increase globally, causing environmental issues to worsen. Indonesia, with its rapidly growing cities, also struggles to manage all this waste. Numerous mobile applications were released to recycle waste more effectively. However, The rate of mobile recycling application adoption is still low. We contend that lack of awareness and knowledge on recycling is the main cause of low adoption from people, that makes them deny the need for recycling and individual responsibility. Hence, the purpose of this study is to find out if sociopreneur awareness implementation, workshop, on recycling application influence the adoption of recycling applications. TPB and UTAUT model is used to attest the acceptance of workshop on recycling application. Quantitative approach is employed in this study, using a questionnaire of 139 respondents. The structural model is calculated using Smart PLS tools, and the results are validation data. According to the results, the user's intention to use recycling applications with a workshop feature is positively and significantly impacted by four variables (T-Values ≥ 1.96), which are Functional Expectancy, Attemption, Support System, and Perceived Control. While, Society Influence have negative effects (T-Values 1.96) on the user's intention to use recycling applications with a workshop feature.
