Abstract

Proper selection of food ingredients and quantities is a significant step to serve foods with good taste. When the selection of food ingredients is done inappropriately, the food maker can suffer losses because the ingredients chosen exceed the target for their use. Proper data collection in managing food ingredients is also needed by food makers in large quantities to produce delicious food as well. Universitas Advent Indonesia is a boarding campus which organizes and serves food for students on campus. Food serving for students is managed by the Cafeteria Department. One of the challenges that faced by this department is the collection of food ingredients on each food menu. Because of cooking in large portions, errors in the use of food ingredients are often found. In one meal, the cafeteria manager must prepare food for 1000-1500 servings. Then in one day the cafeteria must prepare food for 3000-4500 servings. Therefore, conducting this research aims at designing an information system that can record incoming materials, available materials and exit materials. This study also aims to make it easier for workers in the selection and data collection at the cafeteria of Universitas Advent Indonesia. The method that used in this study is SDLC (System Development Life Cycle), they are: (1) Analysis of Program requirements (Requirements). (2) Design (System Design). (3) Writing the Program Code (coding). (4) Program Testing (Testing). (5) Program Leading (implementation). Based on the design that has been described, it can be concluded that the system built can improve the performance of Universitas Advent Indonesia employees; the information system that is designed includes the selection of food ingredients as well as monitoring incoming, outgoing and available ingredients. The system built can also store data as desired. The design of this system is web-based, the use of this system will be even better if the design of this system is implemented mobile in the future.

Abstract

The development of a country makes it easier for its people to obtain information. This is obvious from the apparent increasing needs of the community, companies and government institutions in obtaining various data and information. The District Office of Lengkong, Bandung City is one of the government institutions which, in running its governmental functions, requires a well-computerized information system. The information system needed is an information system that can handle the processing and delivery of information and data related to letters received and sent. The software used is a desktop-based application which makes it easier to maintain the archieves in Lengkong District Office. To design a desktop, a designing stage is required using a prototype model, and the tool used to design the desktop is Star UML. The programming language used to make this desktop is the Visual Basic programming language, and the database is MySQL. It can be concluded that the Letters Management Software in the Lengkong District makes it easier for all employees to maintain records in the institution and in accessing the needed archives.

Abstract

Sutan Raja Hotel and Convention Center Soreang conducted a marketing technique by sending a random marketing team to do a promotion. The marketing team sent randomly may not be able to achieve the expected target. In order to achieve the target, the placement of the appropriate marketing team will get more efficient results. Customer data that has been stored when a customer registers for check-in at Sutan Raja Hotel and Soreang Convention Center, can be utilized to create marketing support strategies that can be very useful for the Hotel. Data used in marketing strategy decision support include data from the customer's home city, gender, main segment, and duration of stay that is analyzed using the K-Means Clustering Algorithm so that the right customer cluster is known for the promotion approach. Data will be processed using Weka data processing software with K-Means Clustering Algorithm and K = 3 so that the data will produce three clusters. With the final result of Cluster 0 in Jakarta City, male gender, OTA segment play, and 1 day stay duration. Cluster 1, Jakarta City, male gender, individual segment play, and duration of stay for 3 days. Cluster 2 Bandung City, male gender, individual segment play, and duration of stay of 2 days.

Abstract

Learning models using computer technology should be developed in the present. Computers as a part of technology are currently developing their functions. Students can easily operate and carry out learning activities using computer technology. One of the facilities that can be used is multimedia computer technology where students can use interactive multimedia learning software. Multimedia is used as a learning tool which is expected to increase student interest in learning, because it consists of audio-visual elements. The Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) is a method used in this study for multimedia-based software development. Abstract

The use of a technology is currently very widely used in the community. The registration information system for prospective graduates is very important in the world of education, especially at Adventist University of Indonesia. With this system, it can help student when registering online graduate candidates by filling out the registration form online and opening it though the paper form that BAA has Provided. Information System for the registration of prospective graduates, utilizing hardware and software, as well as manual procedures such as providing document as condition for registering as prospective graduates. The use of platforms makes it easy to access the system anywhere by using devices connected to the network. But in this design, the system used is in the Adventist University network. With this system, BAA is very helpful in data processing for prospective graduate student.

Abstract

Today, many web applications are dynamic and interactive to be applied in Information Systems, Telecommunications, Trade, Banking, Education and various other types. Along with these developments. The author wants to create UNAI Virtual Reality which aims to help website visitors see the UNAI campus more closely. The objectives of this study are: (1) Creating a Virtual Reality 360o for Adventist University of Indonesia. (2) Presenting 360o images through the website of the Adventist University of Indonesia. (3) Making visitors to the Adventist University website Indonesia more easily recognize the location and environment around UNAI which is presented in a Virtual form. The conclusions from this study are: (1) The Virtual Reality 360o application can be implemented on the website of the Adventist University of Indonesia. (2) The Virtual Reality 360o application is interesting, interactive and easy to use, making it easier for users to obtain information about the UNAI environment. The method used in designing this virtual reality application uses the waterfall development model. Method of developing a waterfall system. The SDLC model of waterfall is often also called a linear sequential model. The application designed can display 360 images from several corners of the campus in interactive web forms.

Abstract

Goldfish are loved by ornamental goldfish enthusiasts in education and the general public. Goldfish in Indonesia, there are several types of popular goldfish that people often keep. As a layman, sometimes he is still confused about the types of goldfish he meets. The name of the type of goldfish in one area is usually different from the name in another area, even though it is from the same type of goldfish. This makes it difficult for fellow goldfish lovers or fish farmers who deal with goldfish as a business in the world of ornamental fish. It takes a goldfish expert who is experienced in identifying types of goldfish. In fact, the number of goldfish experts is very small, making it difficult to find at any time. The solution offered is by designing an expert system application that can identify types of goldfish based on android which can identify types of fish based on body shape, tail, eyes, head and color of the goldfish. This study uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method as an application design method, and the identification method uses forward chaining. The conclusion of this research is the application of identification of types of goldfish helps goldfish lovers in finding the type of goldfish correctly. Applications made produce an accuracy of 87.5% with a system inaccuracy of 12.5%. The suggestion from this research is that it is hoped that this application can be made and used by using the image recognizer on goldfish so that this application can be more easily used by goldfish lovers in identifying the type of goldfish desired in the future.

Abstract

This article is a report of a study regarding the impact of a drastic change in learning model from face to face in class to become virtual class, due to covid-19 pandemic, in Universitas Advent Indonesia in academic year 2019/2020. The population for this study is all students enrolled both in the odd and even semester 2019/2020, i.e. 1516 students, and all population become sample. The academic achievement is seen solely by Semester Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by the students in end of semester. Generally, at the university level, the academic achievement increased, although there are two faculties, i.e. Economics and Education, the academic achievement of students decreased slightly, while for other faculties, the achievement increased. Based on the batch, the first year student showed a negative impact of daring system, while other batches performed positively. In terms gender, both male and female students have a positive impact of daring learning system, however female students performed better than male students. These results are surprising, since it was assumed before that the academic achievement will be decreased due to the drastic change in the learning model from class room model to virtual model. This study implied that the covid-19 pandemic brought a positive impact in the academic achievement of UNAI students. This happened since both faculties and students of UNAI were successful to overcome any difficulties or challenges in the learning model due to the covid-19 pandemic However, this study needs to be continued to see the long term observation, whether the positive impact still happens or not in the odd semester 2020/2021.

Abstract

Education and information are closely related. In the world of education, the operations also require assistance from information systems, for example in managing good and correct data management. Data and information management is an important part of educational institutions such as campuses or universities. Soft system methodology is considered as the most appropriate methodology in data management operations at Advent Indonesia University. Soft system methodology is a system methodology that is used with the intention of explaining the goals of an institution and designing a system or activity to achieve common goals. This study aims to explain and explain how the development of data and information management using soft system methodology analysis. This research is quantitative descriptive, which is a method that describes the results of research in numerical form on an object or variable. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the soft system methodology has a big influence and makes data management more structured at Advent Indonesia University.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology is currently used by all ages. The use of gadgets among teenagers today is really busy and will certainly affect their learning attitudes and their final grades. Data mining is a method of processing large amounts of data to find information from that data. ID3 is a data mining algorithm that uses the entropy method. The result of this study is that gadgets do not affect the final grades of high school students in general.
