Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that affect the performance of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. These factors were operating efficiency (ROA), credit risk (NPL), market risk (NIM), capital (CAR), and liquidity (LDR). The data used in this study were obtained from the Company's Financial Statements Banking Publications listed on the Stock Exchange. Based on purposive sampling method, the sample is worth using as many as 28 corporate banking with the following criteria: banking company is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), never on delete, and provide financial statement data for the period 2007-2010. The type of data used are secondary data, which is a combination of time series and cross section data. Technical analysis used multiple linear regression. The results showed that the variables BOPO and NPL are significant negative effect on ROA, NIM is significant positive effect on ROA, CAR and LDR whereas no significant effect on ROA. Coefficient of determination, which shows the magnitude of the influence BOPO, NPL, NIM, CAR and LDR to ROA are 73.1%, while the rest of 26.9% explained by other causes outside the model. Abstract

Puposes of this study were to explain the influence of marketing knowledge on communication quality and marketing adaptabilitation olso to analysis influence of communication quality and marketing adaptabilitation on customer relationship.To test the empirical models, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used. Sample size of this research were 200 owners and/or managers of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) running food and beverage sector in the residency Banyumas areas. The results showed that marketing knowledge has a positive effect on communication quality and marketing adaptabilitation, marketing quality has a positive effect on customer relationship, but marketing adaptabilitation has no positive effect on customer relationship. Abstract

The purpose of this study to develop a theoretical approach to track and analyze the development to Innovation of Prosocial Cultural Transformation improve organizational  performance. This research is expected to provide an explanation to fill this research gap related to the presence of entrepreneurs in the batik industry is the thing that can not be circumvented in wanting to improve the performance of the organization's success in a competitive business environment associated with the implementation of the innovation strategy. The research was conducted in the area of Pekalongan, Rembang, Sragen, Solo, dan Banjarnegara Central Java Province. The sample size of the study was 200 owners/ leaders/ managers of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises. The variables of innovation of prosocial cultural transformation measured through creative product development, creative technique based on cost efficiency, and responsibility to employees and the community to achieve improved organizational performance. The result showed that consumer orientation, supplier orientation, employee creativity affect positively towards innovation of prosocial cultural transformation. Afterwards, innovation of prosocial cultural transformation affect positively towards organizational performance. This research was based on Resources Based Theory and Diversity in Innovation Theory which means that the company's success is based on the characteristics of the resources in the company.The limitation and implication for the future study and the managerial implication are alsodiscussed in this study. Abstract

X Company implement several strategies to win the competition through increasing human resources ability and creativity. The condition in X company that there haven’t human resources (HR) department for 20 years. After realized that HR department is very important in every company, HR department has been established in 2010. For maximizing it’s job, HR department in X company need to know the level of implementation HR department roles. Based on theory from Ulrich and Brockbank (2005), HR department roles are consist of Employee Advocate, Human Capital Developer, Functional Expert,  Strategic Partner and HR Leader. The purposes of this research are to know the level of  implementation HR department roles ini X company based on theory from Ulrich and Brockbank (2005) and also want to know the domination of HR department roles. Research type is descriptive quantitative. Method of analysis are descriptive analysis and confirmatory factor analysis with LISREL versi 8.8 software. Result from this research show that HR department in X company has implemented HR department roles with high category. Among the five factors as forming of HR department roles, Fuctional expert more dominant than Employee Advocate, Human Capital Developer, Strategic Partner dan HR Leader. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the influence of Islamic preacher toward attitude and consumers’ purchase intention as well as to find out of what dominant factor that influence consumer attitude and consumers purchase intention. Primary data were collected from 300 respondents using area random accidental sampling from kabupaten Sleman, kabupaten Bantul dan Kota Yogyakarta. Research findings show that all characteristics of Islamic preacher endorser as an independent variables (physical attractiveness, credibility source, congruency and trustworthiness) being observed partially and simultaneously significantly influence toward consumer attitude and consumers purchase intention. There is an interesting finding in this research that consumers purchase intention is more influenced by product benefit than Islamic preacher as an endorser. This finding indicates those respondents are rationale consumers. Key words: islamic preacher endorser, consumers attitude, consumers purchse intention

Abstract

Purpose of this research to know the difference quality internet financial reporting of manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia and Malaysia stock exchange. Sample for this research is website of manufacturing company are listed onIndonesia and Malaysia stock exchange. The research methods was using index internet financial reporting. The methods of data analysis was using descriptive analysis and mann whitney test. One of the survey findings was that listedmanufacturing companies in Indonesia stock exchange have a greater index internet financial reporting than Malaysia. Another major finding was that listed manufacturing companies in Indonesia and Malaysia stock exchange have a sameindex of content and technology. Another major finding was that listed manufacturing companies in Indonesia and Malaysia stock exchange have a difference index of timeliness and user support.Keyword : internet financial reporting, Malaysia, Indonesia, content, timeliness, technology, user support.

Abstract

The aimsof this study are to examine the effect of capital expenditures of local governments, labor absorption and the Human Development Index on economic growth and poverty in 35 districts / cities in Central Java Province. This studyuses secondary data. There are variable capital expenditures of local governments, labor absorption and the Human Development Index as an exogenous variable, while economic growth and poverty level as an endogenous variable. Thisstudy uses panel data which combines time series data and cross section. These data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with AMOS 20 program. The results showed that the four proposed hypothesis are accepted and thehypothesis is rejected. Hypothesis 1 suggests that the local government capital expenditure significantly positive effect on economic growth. Hypothesis 2 suggests that the labor absorption significantly positive effect on economic growth.Hypothesis 3 suggests that the Human Development Index significantly positive effect on economic growth. Hypothesis 4 suggests that economic growth no significant effect on poverty. Abstract

Economy has entered a new phase in which the source of competitive advantage has changed. The advantages of an economy are not only from technology, especially natural resources. Source of the latest competitive advantage isinnovation and creativity. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as part of the economy also should improve their competitiveness by innovation. Competitive advantage based on innovation and creativity should be preferred because ofits durability and a longer period of time. This study aims to formulate an institutional strategy to encourage innovation and creativity in SMEs. This paper studies the ideas of the book and the SWOT method. Furthermore, this paper does acomparative strategy of creating strong institutions for the creation of creativity and art that can improve the competitiveness of SMEs from several countries. SMEs problems related to the productivity, among others a lack ofprotection of copyright on innovation and creativity. This resulted frequent occurrence of plagiarism on a product to the detriment of SMEs creator of the product. Property rights to the product or product design does not function as aproduction incentive. Overlooked property rights create production disincentives. Therefore there needs to be an incentive for creators’ production so that they are still motivated to do innovation and creativity continuously. Step that can be done is appreciation by granting patents to innovative SMEs. This will encourage further creations and produce products with features and designs that attract consumers.Keywords: institution, property right, innovation, SME

Abstract

This study will analyze the influence of commitment to the job satisfaction and motivation auditor as an intervening variable. The goal is to test the motivation variable as an intervening variable. Unruk test used to analyze the effect ofcommitment on job satisfaction, namely regression test, test path analysis (path analysis) and also statistical test T. Data were obtained from responses to questionnaires distributed to the auditors who work in public accounting firm in Central Java. The results of the analysis states that the commitment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction auditors. Of the test path analysis can be seen that the relationship between organizational commitment and professional commitment is a direct relationship without motivation as an intervening variable. So if the auditor wants improved job satisfaction, then an auditor must have a strong commitment both to the organization and the profession.Keywords: job satisfaction, commitment, motivation

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of Corporate Gorvernance Perception Index (CGPI) , ownership structure , and firm size on financial performance. CGPI is the result of the assessment and ranking of the application of corporategovernance in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) conducted by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG). The population in this study are listed Company on Corporate Gorvernance PreceptionIndex (CGPI) 2010-2012 . By using purposive sampling obtained a sample of 60 companies . The data analysis technique used is Ordinary Least Square regression (OLS) . The results showed that the variables of Corporate GorvernancePerception Index (CGPI) and managerial ownership effect significant positive on the company's financial performance. Meanwhile, institutional ownership and firm size is not effect significant positive on financial performance.Keywords: good corporate gorvernance, ownership structure, company size and return on equity.
