Abstract

Wireless distribution system (WDS) is a system to expand the wireless network and MAC address as destination addressess. Some documents have discussed WDS technology which one of it says that there is decline in throughput almost half a percent.In this paper, we examine how far the WDS impacts on packet loss and delay that occur when using different topologies in the network based Mikrotik. In the test, we first determined the topology and the location of the router and then we configured WDS route with registering the path between the router's MAC address. Secondly, we delivered streaming videos from server to the client and run the network monitoring software to record the network activity. Thirdly, we analyzed the delay, throughput, and packet loss as a result of the monitoring network.Based on the research examination, it is shown that there is no significant difference between the topology scheme 1 and the topology scheme 2. The performance of the router Master, router 1 and router 2 between topology 1 and topology 2, using the testing parameters: delay, throughput, and packet loss are the same. This is mainly because both of topologies have the same number of hops. On the other hand, there are significant difference in term of delay, throughput and packet loss for router 3 and router 4 both topologies. This is due to that the Master router to router 3 and the router 4 in the topology 2 has more hops than topology 1.

Abstract

Demand for Internet services such as private network, secure network and data transfer speed has raised challenges within the network. To cope with the demand of speed access in the network, in the last decade MPLS technology has emerged. The MPLS is developed one of which to support VPN and MPLS-Traffic engginering. MPLS-VPN is a VPN who utilize MPLS technology to improve VPN capabilities in terms of quality QoS.Traffic Engineering in MPLS is process of selecting a data channel traffic to balance the traffic load on the various lines and points on the network as well as managing traffic better network using alternate pathways. In this research, we will compare the performance characteristics of the MPLS-TE and MPLS-VPN. The research is divided into four steps. Step one is MPLS-VPN network configuration and MPLS-TE network configuration. Step two is downloading data from the server to the PC 1 and PC2. Step 3 is capturing data traffic using wireshark software, and Step four is testing and calculations of data to determine the QoS quality results calculated to be a reference to draw conclusions. Based on the results of research and analysis on the simulated network of the MPLS-VPN and the MPLS-TE, is evidence that the MPLS-TE is more reliable than the MPLS-VPN. Abstract

some fish farmers has been doing some way of controlling salinity in the water for marine fish farming, the farmers will turn on the water pump when they found the taste of the water used to grow fish is not salty, this indicates that the levels of salinity in the water too low. With this method will certainly lead to the growth of fish disturbed. So monitoring and adjusting the condition of pond water is continuously required to maintain water salinity. In this research we analyze one of the supporting factors for the cultivation of marine fish by adjusting the amount of salinity in the water and maintain it in accordance with the needs of tiger grouper. Using Arduino Uno R3 as a data processor, water level or salinity sensor as measuring salinity and input system, while for the actuator system using DC water pump. Salinity measurements using the water level or salinity sensor has an accuracy rate of 98.99%. Calculation of salinity by using fuzzy method goes well with a 100% success rate in accordance with the fuzzy analysis manually. By using salt water pump system can work well in controlling salinity and maintain between 30-33 ppt salinity.

Abstract

Tembakau merupakan salah satu hasil produk pertanian yang diproses dari bagian daun tanaman tembakau. Masyarakat secara umum hanya mengetahui bahwa tembakau merupakan bahan baku utama rokok, akan tetapi pada kenyataannya ada banyak manfaat lain dari daun tembakau, mulai dari melepaskan gigitan lintah hingga sebagai obat HIV/AIDS dan sebagai biofuel. Pada perkembangannya ada dua faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas tanaman tersebut, yaitu hama dan penyakit. Untuk meminimalisir penurunan kualitas tembakau, diperlukan sebuah metode analisis yang mampu mendeteksi penyakit pada daun tembakau sedini mungkin. Pada penelitian ini dibuat sebuah sistem yang mampu mendeteksi penyakit daun tembakau sebagai bentuk dari pengembangan teknologi digital (pengolahan citra). Dalam penelitian sistem analisis ini digunakan metode Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM­) dengan memanfaatkan ekstraksi fitur – fitur sebuah citra dengan memperhatikan hubungan piksel ketetanggaan dan Support Vector Machine (SVM) sebagai pengklasifikasi jenis penyakit dengan bantuan kernel gaussian (rbf) dan polynomial. Pengujian sistem analisis ini menghasilkan tingkat keberhasilan yang beragam. Rata-rata tingkat keberhasilan pada sistem ini adalah 74% dengan persentase keberhasilan tertinggi 80% pada kernel polynomial dengan jarak piksel 1, 2, 3, 5 dan 6. Sedangkan persentase keberhasilan terkecil bernilai 63% pada kernel gaussian (rbf) dengan jarak piksel 1.

Abstract

Load balancing is a technique on the Mikrotik to distribute the traffic load on the connection of two or more lines in a balanced way, so that traffic can run optimally, maximize throughput, minimize response time and avoid overload on one connection line. Load balancing has several methods, of which the PCC and Nth.The first phase of our works devoted to configure the IP addresses for the four routers in the system. Next we configurated the PCC load balance and the Nth load balance separately. On the second phase we transfered of data from client to server and enabled the wireshark to monitor network activities. On the third phase we analyzed throughput, packet loss, and fairness index obtained from the wireshark.Based on the research results, it is shown that using the throughput test parameter the PCC utilize the resource of the network (bandwidth) mostly in one line. On the other hand, the Nth works by dividing the resource utilization for both lines equally. In terms of the packet loss, it is indicated that the Nth has greater packet loss than the PCC. For the fairness index parameter, it shows that the Nth index has a larger value of fairness. In other words, Nth can be considered as fairer than PCC.

Abstract

Many of small and medium a recycler company of waste materials based on mixture of paint and thinner forms. The problems in this company is still using the traditional method for the waste distillation process. Solution to these problems is the automation of temperature control for the heating process thinner waste by using fuzzy method for fuzzification process, setting rules and defuzzification. The results obtained from the application of this method is reusable thinner. The tools that used in this application is the microcontroller as the brain of the machine control, thermocouple for detecting temperature values and also a motor functions as a regulator of the amount of fire coming out.

Abstract

In the military field, the country's defense system has developed a robot in the field of high-tech military and intelligence and accuracy are high enough in order to help maintain a more optimal state. For example Battalion Cavalry fighting vehicles were used to attack and destroy enemy bases and bomb disposal robots designed to assure the safety of bomb disposal officers. Mobile robots are used to detect metal objects in the arena.                    In this study, for setting the path on the mobile robot so that the mobile robot can walk with a straight writer using fuzzy Sugeno, because it is a flexible method in terms of a parameter can change under certain conditions and adapting to the changes that are influenced by the environment.                    Results from this study, the percentage of the sweeping success of the arena by 70%, for the success of detecting metal objects with metal objects the size of 2cm x 10 cm by 80%, as well as to the success of detecting metal objects with metal objects the size of 2cm x 20cm by 100%. Key words: Mobile Robot, Fuzzy, Metal Sweeper.In the military field, the country's defense system has developed a robot in the field of high-tech military and intelligence and accuracy are high enough in order to help maintain a more optimal state. Abstract

PLC has been much used in industry. With PLC, most production processes can be controlled automatically. This is because PLC always monitor sensors and control actuators.             Generally, PLC will work in accordance with program that is uploaded by programmer. PLC that doing the long production activities will have high temperature , the state of high temperature has not been fully recognized if PLC have no temperature sensors.             Therefore this research will be built a miniature that have input and output equipment to perform production process in industry. This miniature will use voltage divider to activate several fans according to data acquisition from temperature sensor. The voltage divider determined from several levels based on the level of heat from heater. The last part of this research is displaying the results of temperature sensor on personal computers using CX-Designer.             Of the research 6 times, 3 times research heating and 3 times research cooling, there is an average deviation of the setpoint of 0.393666 ºC and average of standart deviation 0.3117ºC.

Abstract

It is commonly understood that air pollution brinqs detrimental effect to human health, it can cause diseases and lead todeath. Therefore, it is urgently required to monitor airborne levels continously. In this research, it monitoring system utilizing the  wireless sensor networks with cluster method. We consider that there are two clusters where every cluster head has two child nodes equipped with a CO sensor and a CO2 sensor for each node. Data from child node sent to server through parent node and each cluster head. We used the xbee radio as wireless transmision  from child node to parent node,  we used the wifi Tonylabs CC3000 module as wireless transmission  from parent to server.The result shows that delay and packet loss between child node and parent node through the xbee are aproximately 4,75 seconds and 5%, respectively. This means that the system has short delay and relatively low packet loss. On the other had the packet loss from parent node to server are relative higher than that from the child node to parent node i.e. aproximately 14,17 %, Interestingly it can achievedelay of close to zero second during transmission.

Abstract

Abstract: many riders got into trouble when it wants to find an empty parking space. in addition to the vast area alternating riders also have to see where the parking area is empty, it is  waste of time and not efficiencythe current system is used to detect an empty parking lot is by installing a sensor object., within each slot, the shortcomings of the system are all objects that were in the car when the slot is in the sensor reach it is considered a car and the system requires a lot of money. it made system using existing cameras can create a system that can detect an empty parking area using background subtraction and supported by motion detection. where the camera will take a picture of the parking conditions are then sent to the PC. After which it will be processed by the system which will detect an empty parking space and then the results will be shown the places where only the slot is empty. in this system has conducted 155 trials with a minimum percentage of 35% white pixels that have been obtained from several experiments for accurate results.Keywords : parking, image, camera, motion detection background subtraction method
