Abstract

The development of an advanced technology has affected human living in the use of modern communication technology which based on data streaming. Streaming is a transmission technology of sending data, video or audio in real time or pre -recorded from the sender to the receiver. The usage of this technology is very diverse in various activities, so that the data streaming requires a rapid protocol performance in the delivery process. The final task generates comparative characteristics of TCP Vegas and UDP which based on the quality of data streaming services with the parameters of bandwidth utilization test, packet loss, latency, and jitter. The data streaming that has been used includes Voice over IP and video streaming. This comparison is performed using the network simulator 2.From the analysis that has been done, we get the value of the parameters that have been set. In general, it has been found that the percentage of bandwidth utilization on UDP protocol is larger than TCP Vegas. Then, the percentage of packet loss on TCP Vegas is higher than the UDP protocol. While, the value of a latency and jitter on TCP Vegas has a higher value than the UDP protocol.

Abstract

One source of vegetable oil highly prospective to be used as raw material for biodiesel is Jatropha curcas nkL. But to get the maximum oil content of Jatropha, takes temperature and soil moisture are controlled continuously. Because it takes a tool for monitoring crop. In this final project used technology Wireless Sensor Network ( WSN ). WSN is a wireless network consisting of multiple sensors that work together to monitor physical and environmental conditions. Thus supporting the sensor devices can facilitate monitoring temperature and humidity in the soil around the plant plantations distance.WSN communication protocol testing, showed that the sending or receiving data in accordance with the address of the destination node and 100meter range of reach. The average percentage error in moisture sensor node1 is 4% and node2 is 5.1%, the temperature sensor node is 0.43% and node is3.87% . While in the process of data validation, 95% of the system works well.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSIPada jaman sekarang ini, orang membuat pakan ternak jenis pellet masih membutuhkan tenaga manusia sebagai dasar tenaga dan memakan waktu yang lama untuk sekali memproses bahan baku dari mulai tahap proses sampai dengan proses selesai. Adanya perkembangan mesin pembuat pellet pada sekarang ini masih belom terbantunya sebagai pengganti tenaga manusia. Hal lain yang masih kurangnya pada alat yang sekarang ini adalah masih menggunakan mesin diesel sebagai tenaga penggerak. Mesin diesel yang sekarang digunakan untuk mesin pembuat pakan ternak jenis pellet saat ini, penulis melihat masih banyak kekurangannya. Adapun permasalahannya adalah berisiknya menggunakan mesin diesel. Hal ini mengganggu manusia yang lain pada saat pemprosesan. Disamping suara yang di timbulkan kurang baik, adanya polusi atau pencemaran udara dari mesin tersebut. Adanya kontaminasi dari asap yang di timbulkan pada mesin tersebut akan tercampur dengan pakan ternak itu sendiri.Dalam perumusan tersebut penulis mencoba untuk merancang dan membangun sebuat alat pembuat pakan ternak jenis pellet dengan sistem otomatis berbasis PLC sebagai pusat control terhadap perangkat yang ada. Disini penulis menggunakan motor 1 fasa dan motor 3 fasa sebagai perangkat untuk pembuatan pakan ternak tersebut. Pada bagian mixer, penulis menggunakan takaran adonan berkapasitas 5 – 10 Kg. Motor 1 fasa sebagai motor penggerak yang nantinya akan dipicu dengan dengan rilley bertegangan 220v sebagai pemutus dan penyambung tegangan. Sedangkan disini penulis menggunakan 2 buah motor 3 fasa dan 2 buah inverter sebagai penggerak untuk pendorong bahan sampai dengan ke proses pemotongan dan juga sebagai pemotong adonan sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai dengan harapan. Sehingga suara yang di timbulkan pada alat ini mengurasi tinggat kebisingan yang ada dan memper mudah manusia untuk membuat pakan ternak ayam jenis pellet.Diharapkan pada penelitian ini dapat membantu  dan meringankan pekerjaan baik pengusaha pakan ternak ayam jenis pellet maupun home industry berskala kecil untuk lebih efisien. Sehingga tidak membutuhkan tenaga dan waktu yang banyak untuk proses pembuatan, dan mengganti dengan cara cepat untuk pembuatan pakan ternak sesuai dengan yang sudah dibuat ini.

Abstract

Abstract:  Motion detection has been widely used in security systems on an individual or group. But there are some problems if a mounted camera and recording in realtime while there is no movement or event that occurs, namely the wasted memory. It needs a CPU (central processing unit) that require power and considerable cost, to a process of image processing. In addition, if seen from the aspect of the room, the CPU is more bulky. One alternative to overcome this problem is to design a software that can improve the efficiency of the camera, so that the camera will only detect and record when there is motion or moving objects. In this research, the author uses one single board computer i.e. Raspberry Pi to detect a movement, so that the system can be further used as a security system. Raspberry Pi is small computer credit card sized. So the user does not need more room and power to build a system of motion detection. For motion detection, the author will use image subtraction method, namely the reduction of differences between frames (fi) with the previous frame (fi-1) so that the movement is in the area of radar cameras can be detected and the results of the motion detection will be stored in an image file on a single board computer.

Abstract

Frequent floods occurred in several areas in Indonesia annually that eventually cause who are affected by the flood. More often floods arrive at night when most people were fast asleep. This means that people are mostly not ready when disaster comes. This is one of the reasons why long-range early-detection flood device was designed. Not only to improve the accuracy of detection of the flooding but it will be able to monitor so there will be an accurate precaution signal of this disaster at the right time. Monitoring the water level of the river situation in real time using Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology. WSN is a wireless network infrastructure that uses sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions that are connected to the network. In this study, each node in the WSN consists of the Arduino Uno microcontroller modules, XBee series 2 as wireless communications, and PING ultrasonic sensor and RTC (Real Time Clock). Base on our examination the WSN technology for early warning of flooding detection is able to produce a system that allows people predict the possibility of flooding. Water level measurements with PING ultrasonic sensor has an error percentage between 2.09% to 2.56%. The results show that the system is able to work well with a 97.44% accuracy

Abstract

The quality of water source is important. Rivers in Indonesia are generally extremely heavy polluted by organic wastes from sewage population, and other industries are still many others. Water pollution is a change of state in a water reservoirs such as lakes, rivers, oceans and groundwater due to human activities. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a wireless network consisting of multiple sensors that work together to monitor physical and environmental conditions such as temperature, water, sound, vibration or earthquake, air pollution and other different places. However, there are shortcomings in the WSN. WSN have limited energy and bandwidth. One way that energy and communication can be more efficient WSN is to organize the network topology. MESH is a line of communication topology in which each node can communicate with each other. Measurement of pH of water with a pH meter analog sensor kits have a percentage of error between 0.37% to 1.86% and water temperature measurements using sensors DS18B20 has an error percentage between 0.606% to 0.73% With these results the system to work well with 98.14% accuracy rate for the pH sensor and 99.27% for the temperature sensor.

To display data transmitted WSN nodes, made the application of software visual basic 6. In this application generates the system displays the status of the water level of the river (prototype), status of the device, warning when the flood and  the estimated time of flooding occurs. The time estimates obtained from the calculation of the average speed of change in the water level before.

Abstract

Keberadaan restoran, cafe, dan sejenisnya makin marak belakangan ini. Sehingga memunculkan persaingan bisnis antara restoran satu dengan yang lainnya. Pelayanan yang tidak maksimal dikarenakan jumlah pelayan yang kurang memadai menjadi salah satu faktor utama. Dari permasalahan tersebut maka pada tugas akhir ini dibuat sebuah sistem untuk memaksimalkan pelayanan dengan berbasis microcontroller dengan komunikasi TCP/IP. Microcontroller adalah single chip komputer yang memiliki kemampuan untuk diprogram dan digunakan untuk tugas-tugas yang berorientasi kontrol. TCP/IP merupakan protocol yang bersifat connection oriented.Dalam tugas akhir ini menghasilkan perbandingan sistem yang sudah ada. Sistem ini terdiri dari sebuah perangkat keras dan sebuah software yang berkomunukasi dengan komunikasi TCP/IP. Kegunaan komunikasi TCP/IP pada tugas akhir ini adalah agar server dapat menerima data dari beberapa client secara bersamaan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tugas akhir ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak dapat melakukan komunikasi dengan komunikasi TCP/IP. Data yang diterima dengan komunikasi ini lengkap dan membutuhkan waktu yang singkat, dikeranakan data dapat diterima secara bersamaan tanpa perlu bergantian.

Abstract

Abstract: In general, a system is composed of several sub-systems that support the system so it can function perfectly as planned. A system that helps people to monitor gas consists of sub-systems that are equipped with gas sensors and other sensors.This study analyzed the design of navigation systems on the differential steering mobile robot, a robot moving (mobile robots) that can be programmed to move towards a certain point coordinates. This Mobile Robot System is a sub-system which supports the Gas Monitoring system. This study uses the method of analysis of literature study of the theories in the book, the data from each of the components as well as articles from the internet. Based on the theories and these data, we design hardware, testing hardware, software manufacture, integrating all sub-systems into a mobile robot system, testing the overall functionality. Modules, components used in the design of mobile robots, among others: microcontrollers ATmega128; DT-AVR ATmega1280 CPU MODULE; Differential Mover Robot; DAGU Rover 5 4WD; CMPS10 Tilt Compensated Magnetic Compass; Rotary Encoder; DC motors; Motor controllers; and Liquid Cristal Display ( LCD ). Designing program that are used in the planning of the mobile robots, among others, for the purpose of determining the direction of the coordinates using the application of the theory of trigonometry, the distance to the determination of the coordinates of the destination using the application of the theory of Pythagoras.These results indicate that the design of navigation system of differential steering mobile robot was successful with insignificant error of totally system testing. These results of totally navigation system testing indicate error average amount 0.14 coordinates or amount 3.29 cm.Keyword: microcontroller, navigation system, trigonometry, Pythagoras, differential steering mobile robot.
