Abstract

Compared with conventional lamps, LED-based light sources have a superior lifetime, efficiency, and reliability, which promise significant reductions in power consumption and pollution from fossil fuel power plants. The main purpose of this paper is proposed and investigated the effect of the concentration of Ba[Mg2Al2N4]Eu2+conversion phosphor on the CCT deviation (D-CCT) and lumen output (LO) of the 6600 K conformal-packaging white LEDs (CPW-LEDs). For this purpose, we used the Light Tools and Mat Lab software to investigate this problem. From the research results, we can state that the concentration of the red phosphor crucially influenced on the optical quality of the 6600 K CPW-LEDs. The D-CCT can be decreased from 4700K to 2500K, and the LO can be increased from 600 lm. to 1200 lm. This research can provide the new recommendation for LEDs industry at this time.

Abstract

Breakdown script is a breakdown of the scenario into parts that describe each detail of the scene for shooting. The scenario is broken down into more detailed parts using the parsing algorithm. The film script used is a script in Bahasa Indonesia. The process starts from the film script file/scenario in FBX format uploaded to the website then is solved using a parsing algorithm into film elements such as cast members, extras, props, costumes, makeup, vehicles, stunts, special effects, music and sound. The results of this breakdown into sheets according to film elements. The purpose of this research is to produce breakdown sheets from film scripts according to film elements. The parsing algorithm test results showed the correct results of 12 scenes out of 19 scenes.

Abstract

This paper examines drone-based parameters for assessing the success of reclamation activities in post-mining oil-exploration area. The applied drone-based images were multispectral images having visible light and infrared wavelength regions with 5 cm spatial resolution. The main objective of the study is to develop a mathematical model to estimate a reclamation success, through development of success indices. The model were developed by analyzing the relationship between the vegetation success and the digital number values of original and/or synthetic images of drone-based images using 70 sample plots. The mathematical models were developed using a regression analysis, where responses are biomass, volume, and basal area, while the independent variables were original digital number value of images and their derivative synthetic images. The study found that there is a close relationship between parameter biomass stock (ton/ha) and basal area (cm) with both, i.e., original digital number and vegetation indices.

Abstract

Wide-area protection system (WAPS) is widely studied for the purpose of improving the performance of conventional backup protection. In this paper, the system architecture of WAPS is proposed and its key technologies are discussed in view of engineering projects. So a mixed structure-centralized-distributed structure which is more suitable for WAPS in limited power grid region, is obtained based on the advantages of the centralized structure and distributed structure. Furthermore, regional distance protection algorithm was taken as an example to illustrate the functions of the constituent units. Faulted components can be detected based on multi-source imformation fuse in the algorithm. And the algorithm cannot only improved the selectivity, the rapidity, and the reliability of relaying protection but also has high fault tolerant capability. A simulation of 220 kV grid systems in Easter Hubei province showed the effectiveness of the wide-area protection system presented by this paper.

Abstract

A vehicular Ad hoc network is an emerging and widely adopted technology because of their potentiality for innovative applications in transportation sector. Recently, the technology has been faced various challenges and rely on expensive architecture. The implementation of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in vehicular networks reduces the required investment and improves intelligent applications performance for driving safety and traffic efficiency. In this paper, we propose a wireless sensor based hybrid architecture for navigation systems for vehicular Ad hoc networks. The architecture is suitable for mountain range roads, where vehicles cannot communication properly. The propose architecture is used to exchange and perceive roadside information and helpful in navigation decision process and for alert messages.

Abstract

Requests from various video terminals push video servers to equip with scalability for video contents distribution in different ways. Scalable Video Coding (SVC) as the extension of H.264/AVC standard can provide the scalability for video servers by encoding videos into one base layer and several enhancement layers. To enable mobile devices without scalability receive videos at their best extent, converting bit-streams from SVC into H.264/AVC becomes the key technique. Bit-stream rewriting is the simplest way without quality loss. However, rewriting is not a real transcoding scheme, since it needs to modify SVC encoders. This paper proposes a novel transcoding approach to support spatial scalability by minimizing the distortions generated from re-encoding process. The proposed scheme keeps the input bit-streams’ information at maximum and adopts the hybrid upsampling method to do residue scaling, which can reduce the transcoding distortion into minimization. Experimental results demonstrate that the loss of the rate-distortion (RD) performance of the proposed transcoding scheme is better than Full Decoding Re-encoding (FDR) which can get the highest video quality in general sense, by achieving up to 0.9 dB Y-PSNR gain while saving 95%~97% processing time.

Abstract

The big cities in the world always face the traffic jam. This problem is caused by the increasing number of vehicle from time to time and the increase of vehicle is not anticipated with the development of new road section that is adequate. One important aspect in the traffic management concept is the need of traffic density data of every road section. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the possibility of optimization on the use of video file recorded from CCTV camera for the visual observation and the tool for counting traffic density. The used method in this paper is adaptive background extraction with Gaussian Mixture Models algorithm. It is expected to be the alternative solution to get the data of traffic density with a quite adequate accuracy as one of aspects for decision making process in the traffic engineering

Abstract

This paper is under in-depth investigation due to suspicion of possible plagiarism on a high similarity indexThis paper introduces a new method to track the saturation saliency for position measurement of a five-phase PMSM motor fed by a five-phase inverter through measuring the dynamic current response of the motor line currents due to the IGBT switching actions. The new method uses only the fundamental PWM waveform obtained using the multi-phase space vector pulse width modulation (i.e there is no modification to the operation of the five-phase inverter) similar to the fundamental PWM method proposed for a three-leg inverter. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy for saliency tracking of a five-phase PMSM motor driven by five-phase inverter over a wide speed ranges under different load conditions.

Abstract

The previous study investigated the fiber parameters on the analytical one-pump fiber optical parametric amplifier (FOPA) gain spectrum of a loss-free highly-nonlinear dispersion-shifted fiber (HNL-DSF) and got the optimum results for each parameter. However, the FOPA gain of the combination of all the optimum values of the considered parameters was not reported. Hence, this paper intends to investigate the analytical FOPA gain of the combination of all the optimum values of the considered parameters from the previousstudy. Later, the analytical gain was compared with the numerical gain from the fourth-order Runge-Kutta (RK4) method and Matlab built-in function, ode45. Next, the effect of fiber loss and higher order dispersioncoefficients such as fourth and sixth-order dispersion coefficients were studied. It is found that RK4 gives a smaller error and the gain reduces while the bandwidth remains same in presence of fiber loss. Thefourth-order dispersion coefficient broadens the bandwidth a bit while maintaining the gain and there are two narrow-band gains generated to the left and right-side of the broad-band gain. The sixth-order dispersioncoefficient just shifts the two narrow-band gains toward or away from the broadband gain depending on the positive or negative signs of the sixth-order dispersion coefficient.

Abstract

Electromyography EMG is a standout amongst the most regularly utilized tools to study human muscle condition. But due to the intricate attributes of the EMG itself, time-frequency distributions such as Gabor transform and spectrogram are more preferred than the simpler time distribution and frequency distribution. These techniques have been broadly utilized as it can provide both time and frequency information. However, both techniques have a fix window size for all frequency values, thus there exist a problem of determination of the window size, where excessively limit window and too wide window, will result in poor frequency resolution and time resolution, respectively. Along these lines, the point of this study is to choose the best window size so as to be utilized with Gabor transform to screen human muscle activity during core-lifting task. Four electrodes were placed on the right and left biceps brachii, and left and right erector spinae. In this study, the results of five acceptable window sizes (300, 400, 430, 450 and 520) were shown, despite the fact that other window sizes were also tested. Three criteria have been considered during the determination of the best window size, which are good time resolution, good frequency resolution, and high accuracy. Results demonstrate that window size of 450 is the best compared to others. As an additional analysis, the result is compared to a spectrogram and it can be seen that Gabor transform is better, as it has the flexibility in choosing the window size, thus affects the resolution and accuracy.
