Abstract

Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) can manage business processes and employee performance in an organization. This study aims to develop a system that can publish SOP documents automatically distributed to employees. In this study, an analysis of the relationship between SOP documents and employees is carried out so that it can be directly allocated to employees according to the position. Knowledge analysis of the relationship between SOP documents and employees is done using semantic network analysis. Semantic networks are used to analyze components of knowledge and the relationship between SOP documents and employees. The results of the report of the elements of knowledge and the relationship between SOP documents found 25 SOP documents were consisting of 6 types of central nodes with 156 child nodes and had 7 types of relations containing 207 relations. SOP knowledge management system is connected to the personnel information system (SIPEG) so that it makes it easier for users to find, accommodate, and manage the knowledge contained in SOP documents. System implementation is done using PHP programming language with CodeIgniter framework, Rest API, and MySQL database.

Abstract

This work is intended to deliver an intelligent traffic system using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. It designed and implemented in a way where fines are autonomously registered. In addition, a mobile app was built to assist traffic officers managing their field works. Low cost equipment’s have been used such as RFID technology, passive tags, processing unit (personal computer), and a connection system. First stage is represented by collecting data using the RFID, where it reads any identified tag that attached with vehicles. Next, a certain data are transmitted to the server using internet network communication system. The server is responsible for processing these data according to a pre-defined rules. Finally, police officers can use the mobile app to perform several tasks according the processed data such as monitoring a specific car, register a new car ID and others.

Abstract

The need for effective design of satellite attitude control (SAC) subsystem for a microsatellite is imperative in order to guarantee both the quality and reliability of the data acquisition. A proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller was proposed in this study because of its numerous advantages. The performance of PID controller can be greatly improved by adopting an integral time absolute error (ITAE) robust controller design approach. Since the system to be controlled is of the 4th order, it was approximated by its 2nd order version and then used for the controller design. Both the reduced and higher-order pre-filter transfer functions were designed and tested, in order to improve the system performance. As revealed by the results, three out of the four designed systems satisfy the design specifications; and the PD-controlled system without pre-filter transfer function was recommended out of the three systems due to its structural simplicity, which eventually enhances its digital implementation.

Abstract

The clustering approach is considered as a vital method for many fields suchas machine learning, pattern recognition, image processing, information retrieval, data compression, computer graphics, and others.Similarly, it hasgreat significance in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) by organizing thesensor nodes into specific clusters. Consequently, saving energy and prolonging network lifetime, which is totally dependent on the sensor’s battery, that is considered asa major challenge in the WSNs. Fuzzyc-means (FCM) is one of classification algorithm, which is widely used in literature for this purpose in WSNs. However, according to the nature of random nodes deployment manner, on certain occasions, this situation forces this algorithm to produce unbalanced clusters, which adversely affects the lifetime of the network. To overcome this problem, a new clustering method called FCM-CMhas been proposed by improving the FCM algorithm to form balanced clustersfor random nodes deployment. The improvement is conductedby integrating the FCM with a centralized mechanism(CM).The proposed method will be evaluated based on four new parameters. Simulation result shows that our proposed algorithm is more superior to FCM by producing balanced clustersin addition to increasing the balancing of the intra-distances of the clusters, which leads to energy conservation and prolonging network lifespan.

Abstract

Underwater environment poses a difficult challenge for autonomous underwater navigation. A standard problem of underwater vehicles is to maintain it position at a certain depth in order to perform desired operations. An effective controller is required for this purpose and hence the design of a depth controller for an unmanned underwater vehicle is described in this paper. The control algorithm is simulated by using the marine guidance navigation and control simulator. The project shows a radial basis function metamodel can be used to tune the scaling factors of a fuzzy logic controller. By using offline optimization approach, a comparison between genetic algorithm and metamodeling has been done to minimize the integral square error between the set point and the measured depth of the underwater vehicle. The results showed that it is possible to obtain a reasonably good error using metamodeling approach in much a shorter time compared to the genetic algorithm approach.

Abstract

An integral-order hyperchaotic system with four-dimension is expanded to be a fractional-order system whose chaotic behaviors are analyzed, Firstly, based on the stability theory of fractional-order linear system and the thinking of tracking control, a synchronization method for two fractional-order systems with different structures is proposed, and an analytic expression for synchronization controller is given. Secondly, taking the extended fractional-order system and R?ssler hyperchaotic system as example, the synchronization between them is numerical simulated. Finally, the proposed synchronization method is applied to encrypt and decrypt digital images. The simulation results show that the lowest order that extended fractional-order system appears chaos is 3.2, and this method has many advantages for encrypting and decrypting digital images, such as sensitive secret keys, random uniform distribution of pixels and low correlation between adjacent pixels.

Abstract

In view of the fact of traditional MPC prediction for three-level AFE converter with numerous switching vectors, time-cost computation and complex control, a simplified model predictive control algorithm is proposed in this paper. The multiple current prediction is transformed into a single virtual reference voltage vector prediction according to the inverse procedure of the model current prediction, and vector distribution method is adopted which can screens out the optimal vector. In the process of rolling optimization, multi-objective control is carried out by adding neutral point potential balance and reducing switching losses and other constraints to the cost function. Also the control delay of the algorithm is compensated. Finally, simulation experiments of three-level AFE converter under steady-state and dynamic conditions are provided. The results have verified correctness and practicability of the strategy.

Abstract

An unconventional portable electrochemical gas sensor composed of a smartphone, a finger-sized sensing chip and a single use paper-based enzyme electrode was proposed to detect a particular target gaseous inclusion for self-breath-analysis with ease. This attempt allowed us to monitor our physical status immediately and continuously regardless of a time, place or person due to the improved convenience, immediacy, and affordability. The custom CMOS chip with the capability of performing an amperometric determination when the power voltage supplied from the earphone jack of a smartphone was designed as an analytical device. A disposable enzyme electrode was prepared simply from a chromatography paper and a commercial carbon pencil instead of the conventional indisposable material and complex manufacturing process. The quantification of ethanol in gaseous samples was demonstrated in range from 50 to 500ppm (V/V) in accord with concentrations in exhaled breath. The response current increased linearly with increasing vapor ethanol concentration.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries in this world that has the most outstanding fishery potential. There are more than 3000 fish species under Indonesia's sea, yet the people are still not able to relish them completely. Illegal fishing by foreign ships in Indonesia's territorial sea is one of the reasons why this happens. In order to minimize this kind of loss, those ships should be detected automatically by implementing image processing and artificial intelligence techniques. The study proposed techniques for automatic detection of ships at sea on digital images. These techniques are global image thresholding and artificial neural network backpropagation. The result of this research is proposed of technique able to detect ship with 85% accuracy level. This method may be improved by adding more training data varieties.
