Abstract

In light of the advanced technological development in the world, this study aims to use alternative energy for generating electric energy at the lowest cost. Solar cells are devices that have special operating conditions. The most important of these conditions are the temperature of cells and the intensity of solar radiation. Sometimes the climate condition does not match the ideal conditions used for operating solar cells in many regions around the world. Although the Middle East and Iraq in particular, is considered one of the sunniest areas in the world, solar energy cannot be relied upon to generate electric energy effectively because of the problem of high temperature in solar cells in the summer as well as the problem of dust. In this paper, a simple and economical method was designed to overcome the main problems in the operation of solar cells represented by high temperature in solar cells as well as the problem of dust accumulated on the surface of solar cells which impedes the entry of sunlight into those cells. The method is conducted by immersing the solar cells in running water at a distance that should be close to the surface of the water.

Abstract

The selection of an appropriate JavaScript framework in web-based software development often leads to errors when the chosen framework is incompatible with the design. The ability to make decisions quickly, accurately, and precisely is therefore a key factor in successful software design. Addressing this need, the present study analyzes the accuracy of the analytical hierarchy process-weight product (AHP-WP), analytical hierarchy process-technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (AHP TOPSIS), and analytical hierarchy process-simple multi-attribute rating technique (AHP-SMART) methods in determining the most suitable JavaScript framework according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9126 classification. To evaluate accuracy, the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) was applied as a cost function to measure the error percentage of each method. The analysis was conducted on ten popular JavaScript frameworks selected based on their popularity and usage trends. The evaluation considered six quality criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The results show the ranking of each alternative for all methods. Accuracy measurement using MAPE revealed that the AHP-WP method produced the smallest error percentage (37.77645%), compared to AHP-TOPSIS (47.12566%) and AHP-SMART (46.4041%). Accordingly, the AHP-WP method is recommended for decision support system (DSS) development.

Abstract

Computer methods in biomechanics are computer methods for solving biomechanics problems. Rula, Reba, Niosh, Owas is a method of analyzing work risks due to incorrect posture. Each method uses a worksheet on one posture to analyze risk. For dynamic work, a computer method is needed that can quickly calculate every change in posture. Virtual reality and Kinect as dynamic work analysis methods cannot be carried out preventively. Preventive measures are needed to prevent workers from risks resulting from work. For this reason, computer simulation methods are needed to create work stations and work processes so that they can be carried out preventively. The s-task simulation builder (S-TSB) framework provides a dynamic work analysis solution using simulation. The three processes carried out include surveying, creating simulations and processing posture data. Software validation was tested using the black box analysis method and the results were as expected. The dynamic working model is tested showing results in the form of graphs so it is easy to compare each change. The use of simulation also saves design costs because optimization can simply be done by changing the simulated work station data and/or work process.

Abstract

Weather balloons are high-altitude meteorological balloons particularly used for carrying scientific payloads into the upper atmosphere. These data are obtained by using an instrument called as radiosonde which is attached to the helium filled weather balloon to measure the meteorological data as it ascends up into the atmosphere. For more than 100 years, weather balloons have given valuable information for climate and meteorological research. In this paper, the radiosonde module is designed with negligible risk of failure and cost effectiveness. The instruments to be fixed along with the weather balloon are logging camera, temperature sensor, pressure sensor, humidity sensor, global positioning system (GPS) module and a power source. This module is used to measure and log the basic weather parameters such as pressure, temperature, humidity and this also captures the picture of a particular locality with the help of a microcontroller. This proposed work is useful for observing high altitude weather data which is essential for predicting natural disasters. Further more, it is helpful to analyze the climatological and weather details of a particular region it also plays an important role in estimating agricultural models.

Abstract

Incorporating information and communication technologies (ICT) in public organisations in keeping with digital government policies and access to ICT by citizens motivates public institutions to implement systems to provide better services to citizens. One of the most essential public services is the documentary process, which includes document management systems (DMSs) storing, organising, and managing the documentary flow. The acceptance and use of a DMS enabling digital signature in public institutions depends to a certain extent on a set of factors influencing user behaviour towards it. This paper reports the findings of a quantitative, cross-sectional, and correlational study examining the behavioural intention (BI) to use a DMS, employing three constructs of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). The research involved 998 workers from public institutions who participated in a survey, with quantitative data analysed using Spearman correlation. The results show that performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), and social influence (SI) positively correlate with the BI to use a DMS and thus must be considered as relevant factors in DMS implementation in public institutions. The results provide relevant information to policymakers and DMS managers to promote the adoption of DMS in the digital transformation process that organisations are experiencing.

Abstract

This article addresses the critical issue of securing backup storage for confidential data, a key concern in safeguarding the operations of critical information systems dealing with extensive amounts of sensitive information. The study proposes a novel cryptographic fault-tolerant backup storage system for confidential data, leveraging cryptographic algorithms and protocols. These protocols enable message encryption, ensuring decryption is only possible after a specified time period. The proposed system combines various distributed key generation protocols, proactive secret sharing protocols, asymmetric encryption algorithms, and digital signature algorithms. By employing such cryptographic protocols, it becomes feasible to develop and implement a robust, fault-tolerant service for backing up confidential data.

Abstract

Previously, the antenna conductive patch was made of copper, which was costly, susceptible to multi-fading, bulky, environmentally sensitive, and difficult to produce. Because of their exceptional electrical conductivity and superior strength to metal, while remaining versatile, the miracle nanotechnology of graphene has made them a possible candidate to replace uncompromising copper metallic content. As a result, graphene is incorporated into conductive silver nanocomposites in this work. With the microstrip feeding technology, the suggested antenna design features a logo-shaped made of graphene and silver patch on a textile substrate and radiates at 2.45 GHz frequency. The antenna’s total dimensions are 60×60×1.6 mm. The simulation results were generated using computer simulation technology (CST) studio suite program software, which improved antenna properties including far-fields, return loss, and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). Wearable antennas are promising and have a bright future, especially with the advent of wireless communication technologies, so this new design is essential for the materials revolution in advanced communication and IR4.0 applications, as well as wireless sensor applications

Abstract

In this paper, we address the critical challenge of impulsive interference in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communication systems, which can severely degrade data transmission reliability. Specifically, we propose a novel complex-valued variable step-size normalized least mean square (CV-VSS-NLMS) adaptive filtering algorithm dedicated for adaptive filtering of complex-valued signals, providing real-time, lightweight, and efficient impulsive-noise suppression for UAV-OFDM signals. In contrast, real-valued VSS-LMS filters treat the real and imaginary parts separately, resulting in poorer mean square error (MSE) convergence for complex signals. The algorithm is developed by efficiently adapting LMS-based filtering strategies to impulsive interference scenarios and adequately integrating prior concepts of electromagnetic pulse suppression within a well-designed single-antenna UAV architecture. This new configuration is especially suited for size, weight, and power-constrained UAV platforms, where reducing complexity is highly desirable. In contrast to conventional blind source separation approaches, the proposed solution ensures reliable communication without excessive processing demands, since it efficiently suppresses impulsive noise and greatly reduces the number of matrix operations. Simulation results demonstrate a significant improvement in bit error rate (BER), confirming that the proposed CV-VSS-NLMS technique provides a robust, dependable, and practical solution for modern UAV communication links.

Abstract

In this research, we explain comprehensive industrial and innovation results on using an artificial neural network (ANN) method to improve the performance of microstrip patch antennas for 5G, indoor-outdoor, and Ku band uses. To determine if an antenna is appropriate, this article discusses multiple methods, one of which is to do a simulation using validating software like high frequency structure simulator (HFSS) and Altair Feko. Based on the Rogers RT 5880 substrate, the antenna is constructed. There is a loss tangent of 0.0009 and its dimensions are 17.1053 mm in length and 16 mm in width. Its dielectric constant is 2.2. Despite its small size, it boasts an impressive maximum efficiency of almost 90% and a gain of approximately 8 dB. As an indicator of ANN model performance, we may look at the R-squared value (99%), the mean square error (MSE), which is approximately 0.0015, and the confidence interval (99%). The ANN models are the most accurate and have the lowest error rate when it comes to predicting efficiency and gain. The suggested antenna is a promising contender for the targeted Ku band, indoor/outdoor, and 5G uses, as verified by the clustering of computer simulation technology (CST), HFSS, and Altair Feko simulated results with the measured and predicted outcomes of ANN approach
