Abstract

Production scheduling is a measuring tool for facility planning, worker and equipments that is done sorting work on each processing with the aim of optimization. The purpose of this research is how the production scheduling at PT. Sinar Utama Nusantara can run well to meet the needs of the pipe. From the results of the observation can be concluded that PVC production is done in several machines that are assembled in one production line, PT. Sinar Utama Nusantara not only produces PVC pipes but also other products such as HDPE Pipes, and Gutters and Production PT. Sinar Utama Nusantara implements the production of make to stock, with a daily production capacity of 30 tons. Keywords: Scheduling, Production.

Abstract

Sequencing and scheduling are forms of decision-making which play a crucial role in manufacturing as well as in service industries, In the current competitive environment, effective sequencing and scheduling has become a necessity for survival in the market-place. Companies have to meet shipping dates committed to the customers, as failure 10 do so may result in a significant loss of good will. They also have to schedule activities in such a way as to use the resources available in an efficient manner. Scheduling concerns the allocation of limited resources to tasks or jobs over time. It is a decision-makin process that has as a goal the optimization of one or more objectives. Generate and Test Algorithm is used as a model for scheduling jobs to get information of optimum Make Span. Because of Generate and Test try all of possibility of sequence jobs, this information system is based on computer to process faster

Abstract

In image processing to get the desired image, there are many ways to manipulate it. Thinning (which is called skeletonizing) is a method to represent the image transformation to a graph shape by reducing the particular information in image. Abstract

Previous researches have unfolded some technical improvements on system automation which uses an integrated control system with its own unique intelligence in solving different complicated problems in which the system is applied An obstacle (requenl/y encountered is the development o}' a micro control i/ller/ace on several transducer characteristics which can provide an early detection on a certain condition to perform a further instruction. Transducer, which is the outer end terminal of a control system, needs a distinct analysis on its own characteristics in order to decide the most appropriate interface model to help the control system perfÒrm an execution on the basis of the environmental changes to be detected. Several transducer output characteristics also need a specific synchronization for the microcontroller input terminal, such as the synchrony between the electrical current _and the voltage of the input terminal. Thus, the researchers conducted an analysis on the general characteristics of the MCS51-based control system interface as the transducer series input terminal

Abstract

Many and complicated criteria can result in problems in making a decision. Therefore. a method is needed to solve the problem. The method is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The existence of overflowing and complex criteria can result in problems in making a decision. Therefore, a method is needed to solve thc problem accurately and quickly. The method is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) the principles of which begin hy decomposing problems of a complicated decision and categorizing them into certain hierarchical elements. The matrix elements in pairs which lie on the same hierarchy are compared by considering qualitative and quantitative factors (pair wise comparison). This AHP enables people 10 select the best alternatives based on the decision maker's intention and can combine deductive and systemic approaches in solving complicated problems

Abstract

In decision making it is necessary to have thorough information, if the informalion isn complete, or the data are bared on assumption only, the decision maker will not be able to decide anything for sure. For this purpose there must be a probability concept in order to comply with future consequences. Decision making involves impregnable aspects such as reaction to competitors and inflation index which can influence the organizational finance. One of the decision making conditions is risk condition. There are two criteria in such a condition i.e. Expected pay off and Opportunity loss both criteria will give consistent pay off meaning that the use of expected pay off method has been used to make the best decision. There fore both method (Expected pay off and Opportunity loss) turn out to he effective resulting in the some outcome

Abstract

Transportation model will transform some m sources to n goals. To choose transportation tools, it is necessary to develop a software in order to get optimum solution. Heuristic methode, Generate and Test is used to gain transportation tools with minimum cost. This program will be developed in Visual Basic. Result of Generate and Test methode is optimum combination of transportation tools get from comparing every combination with other combination.
