Abstract

SME’s Ayam Geprek Djeng Siti is a micro scale industry engaged in the food and beverage enterprise, which targets the low to middle-class population. Based on the market observation of SME’s Ayam Geprek Djeng Siti, it showed that the existing marketing strategy is not befitting with the current marketing trend, thus causing low level of marketing strategy and revenue achieved. The productivity level of its current sales is only as much as 1,39. Therefore, in order to formulate a better marketing strategy, SWOT matrix is essential as a means to determine the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat faced by the SME’s. In addition, the QSPM matrix is also necessary to objectively evaluate the alternative strategic options based on the previously identified internal and external key success factors. For these reasons, SME’s Ayam Geprek Djeng Siti has developed a number of improved strategies, such as promotion via social media (Instagram), working together with gojek, make a brand, customer service, and improving the food packaging. The implementation of these strategies has increased both the productivity and revenue levels by 6% and Rp 368.000,00 per day respectively, with the total profit of Rp 134.467,00 per day. Although the increment level is not dramatic since these strategies have only been implemented for one month, the consistent development and efforts of SME’s Ayam Geprek Djeng Siti will definitely continue to improve the productivity level in the future. Abstract

Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is a problem of searching shortest route from origin point and back to the same point by considering transportation capacity. VRP is varian of Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). In this research a metaheurstics method called Partial Comparison Optimization (PCO) was developed to search close optimal solution in order to solve combinatorial optimization such as TSP. Some data instance from TSPLIB was used to evaluate the performance of PCO. The numerical result showed that this proposed optimisation algorithm could achieve near optimum solution.

Abstract

Air Traffic Controller is one profession with special and complex level of expertise. This is because an ATC controller has activities that involve mindset, communication, decision making, interaction and relationships between human-computers that are vulnerable to errors. And it has a very high risk because it deals with the safety of many people. The task of an ATC controller is to maintain a safe distance between planes that have variations with the density of traffic and airspace. This study aims to determine the relationship between ATC (humanware) controllers and technological components in ATC systems, among others: Organization (orgaware), software (infoware) and equipment / machinery (technoware) of ATC equipment. To identify and know the relationship between variables, with Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the t-statistical value, obtained significant influential factors indicating the existence of a relationship between the ATC controller (humanware) and other system components (infoware, orgaware, and technoware).

Abstract

X is one of manufactur plan for produceof cement facilities. The problems found in the company are still the condition of overstock or excess inventory of raw materials which results in swelling of inventory costs. This study aims to provide an optimal amount of raw material inventory so as to minimize total inventory costs and determine the savings in raw material inventory costs. The effort to control raw material inventory uses the Lagrange Multiplier method so that the research objectives are achieved. The object of this study was on the SWEN Cement Packaging which experienced Overstock. Conclusions obtained optimal order for Woven Lamination of 212.2 tons, Kraft (Kenner Paper) of 257.78 and Neolin Yarn of 50.81, with a Total Cost (TCQ * Li) Lagrange Multiplier produced at Rp.554.360.200 -From the calculation results obtained that the total inventory costs by the Lagrange Multiplier method amounted to Rp. 554.360.200, - while the initial total cost was Rp. 726.105.000, which resulted in savings of 23.66%.

Abstract

SUKORINTEX is a company that works in the textile industry, which is a production company for woven sarongs. The production system used is MTO (make to order), PT. SUKORINTEX has 5 work stations in the production process, namely preparation, weaving, gray room, finishing and pakaging work stations. Based on the initial observations that were made, there were obstacles where there were several unemployed work stations, while several other work stations were still working in full and there were bottlenecks. Therefore, a balance of trails is needed in order to minimize idle time at each work station.In the initial condition the company is aware of a balance delay value of 57%, line efficiency 43%, smoothness index 1326.95 and the number of work elements 19 and work stations 5. This research was conducted aimed at correcting the imbalance problems that exist within the company using the method line balancing which is the moodie young method. With the application of the moodie young method, improvements were obtained with 28% balance delay, 72% line efficiency, 659.36 smoothness index and 19 work elements and work stations 3. Thus the moodie young method can be used to improve production lines at PT. SUKORINTEX

Abstract

The problem of quantity of new students from the year since its inception in 2002 until now in the Industrial Engineering Study Program is increasingly worrying. Identification of the root causes has been widely discussed by managers and management officials, but the reality is increasingly critical. Many methods have been carried out through various road promotion efforts but the results are still not significant. What is the root of the problem here?The proposed strategy model examines the problem from upstream to downstream with consideration of IFE and EFE, and is analyzed by SWOT from the perspective of SCM and SCI. Where the root of the problem is peeled off from the subjective perspective of the researcher based on the mapping of the Fish Bone Diagram.The expectation of this strategy model for increasing the quantity of Unisbank Industrial Engineering students in Semarang, even though it is still in the design phase of the strategy model.

Abstract

Good service quality is very important in creating customer satisfaction because to understand the expectations of customers, namely security, comfort, speed, timeliness, convenience, and corporate responsibility in handling each service. CV. Rapih Utama Jok Palembang as one of the service providers continues to strive to improve its services so that it can provide excellent service (excellent service). This study uses the ServQual method, where this method identifies five gaps (gaps) that cause dissatisfaction with the implementation of services. Based on the results of processing the ServQual method, obtained several attributes that experience more than 1 gap. Furthermore, several implementations of proposed improvements such as: adding seating facilities, procuring water for consumers, procuring tissue, making procedures for serving consumers, and making rules for serving consumers. There is a gap decrease after implementation of the improvement. The average decrease in gap is 0.355 with an average decrease in percentage of 5.882%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement in product quality, brand image, and brand awareness of the purchasing decisions of Samsung smartphones. The population was drawn from Unisbank students using Samsung-brand smartphones, and a sample of 99 students. The sampling technique is proportionate random sampling. The data used in this study are primary data, with questionnaires as research instruments. While the research instruments include validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression, F test, coefficient of determination test (R²), and t test (hypothesis). The results of data processing show that product quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, brand image has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, and brand awareness has no positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study focuses on the Analysis of Inventory Systems at the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) BALAI YASA PT. KAI Tegal. This UPT has the duty as the person in charge of maintenance of the PT KAI train and car information system in the Central Java area. In this UPT the inventory and maintenance records of spare parts are still manual and not yet integrated so that the history of the use of spare parts is not well-databaseed, Technical Service Requests for Maintenance of IT (Information Technology) units are still done verbally and have not been well documented so that daily reports are not real and not real neat. This UPT has not determined the optimal number of orders, the number of safety stock and reorder points as important variables in the inventory system. Application of information systems in the company's business activities is one way for business activities to run faster, more precisely, and efficiently. The design of an inventory system improvement is to determine the optimal order quantity, safety stock (SS), and reorder point (ROP). In addition, the inventory feature is also equipped with a menu of incoming goods, items out and standby calculations, which makes it easy for IT units to monitor the condition of existing safety stock.

Abstract

The development of the automotive world in Indonesia has begun to advance and it is undeniable that the development has progressed very rapidly. With the developments that occur in the automotive world which is very influential in the industrial world in Indonesia also results in fierce competition. Forecasting is a calculation analysis technique that is carried out with a qualitative or quantitative approach to estimate future events using reference data from the past. Inventory control is the efforts made by a company including the decisions taken so that the need for materials for the needs of the production process can be optimally met with the smallest possible risk. This research was conducted at AHASS Graha KaryaXY. The data that has been used for research is bookkeeping data at Gudang for 6 months. Forecasting methods used are Exponential Smoothing and Linear Trend. Then control inventory with the EOQ method. The items studied were MPX1 Lt Engine Oil, Gardan Oil, VBELT, Brake Canvas, Brake Bulb. The results of the study, forecasting that is suitable for use is Linear Trend forecasting and using the POM-QM windwos 5 application with the results of MPX1 Lt Engine Oil is 20 bottles, 4 units of VBELT, 15 units of canvas brake, 4 units of axle oil, and 7 units of brake bulb. . And for the results of inventory control, MPX1 Engine Oil 23 days, VBELT 36 days, brake canvas 23 days, Gardan Oil 26 days, brake bulb once every 30 days. The results of forecasting are done, forecasting with the linear Trend method is very useful for AHASS Graha Karya XY and also inventory control using the EOQ method is very useful and feasible to apply.
