Abstract

This article propose a new metaheuristic method for solving production leveling (heijunka) problem. This metaheuristic is called Partial Comparison Optimization (PCO). Production leveling (heijunka) is element of Toyota Production System (TPS). Those levels release production kanbans in order to achieve an even production flow over all possible types of products. PCO is used to solve combinatorial optimization such as scheduling. In this article, PCO is used to solve problem of leveling in production which is caused by fluctuation of consumer demand. PCO will execute production data of vehicle manufacturing ordered by their agent. PCO is only used to search optimum sequence of production therefore for the leveling problem, a leveling mechanism is embedded in PCO algorithm. The goal of the operation is to minimize cost that will be confronted with two opposite side of cost. In one side operation has to reduce setup cost and the other side it has to reduce indent cost. The problem also has to deal with delivery cost impacted by production leveling. PCO has capability to give optimum production leveling in order to minimize these costs.

Abstract

Information era and globalization cause natural business environment very fast change with tight emulation story level. Therefore companies claimed to operational activity effectively and efficient to maintaining its. Information system also needed in levying of goods for the fluency of process purchasing of goods of supplier and also to buyer. Goods purchasing procedure entangle some part in company for the purpose of execution of purchasing of goods can observe better. One of the ‘cause the happening of chaos in goods purchasing procedure is weakening of internal control at procedure and system arranging an transaction. To overcome the problem, hence each; every company require to compile a[n procedure and system able to create good internal control in arranging execution of transaction of corporation. Purpose which is needed in system development of Levying of Goods is arrangement of material requisition, that is function arranging goods which must be ordered, by request of other units, with supplier which have been determined, ordering of goods, that is function to order goods to supplier and arrangement of supplier, that is function to arrange new supplier and arrange which supplier to provide material.   Keywords: Product purchasing, supplier, system design analysis

Abstract

The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a structured technique for dealing with complex decisions. Rather than prescribing a "correct" decision, the AHP helps decision makers find one that best suits their goal and their understanding of the problem. It is a process of organizing decisions that people are already dealing with, but trying to do in their heads. When AHP is used to help decision of which handphone is choosed (Blackberry, Nokia, Sony Erickson), it need some criterias. The criterias are price, technology and design while price is derived to price of product, sparepart, and reselling. Technology is derived to camera, feature, and battery. Design is derived to qwerty, touchscreen and common touch. The result give weights for every alternative. Blackberry weight is 0.67, Nokia weight is 0.21, and Sony Erickson weight is 0.12. That’s mean that Blackberry is better than the others, followed by Nokia and then Sony Erickson.   Keyword : AHP, Decision, Criteria, Alternative

Abstract

The concept of risk can be linked to uncertainties associated with events. Within the context of a project, risk is commonly associated with an uncertain event or condition that, if it occurs, has a positive or a negative effect on the project’s objectives or results in unwanted consequences. To complete the analysis of risk, the probability of each scenario is determined along with the magnitude or severity of the consequences involved. Additionally, there is uncertainty associated with each of these parameters that must also be evaluated. On a production planning, manager should predict how many product should be produced so we got the optimum profit when that produced sold to customer. Sometimes we got little profit or maybe loss, sometimes big profit when the rest of the product sold under production cost. Abstract

Scheduling of production basically resource allocation to finish a group of work to be fulfilling certain criterion. The criterion can in the form of minimum completion of task time, usage of maximal resource, generated total cost minimum and other criterions. There is three important aspect to determine accomplishment of criterion, that is determination of production lot, determination of work sequence and determination of production capacities which is needed. In a industry of manufacture, scheduling needed in operator energy allocation, machine, and equipment of production, process sequence, product type, purchasing of raw material and others. Abstract

Computerized ordering and scheduling system for manufacturing and fabrication industries, it uses bill of materials data, inventory data, and master production schedule to project what material is required, when, and in what quantity. MRP phases orders for dependent-demand items (such as raw materials, components, parts) over a period to synchronize flow of materials and in in-process inventories with production schedules. It also computes and tracks effect of hundreds of variables such as new orders, changes in various capacities, overloaded production centers, shortages, and delays by suppliers, and feeds financial data into the accounting system. In contrast to just in time inventory (a demand-pull production system), MRP is a plan-push system, and in contrast to advanced planning system (a forward scheduling system) it is a backward-scheduling system. Abstract

Graphic is one of the most important industries in the world and also in Indonesia. Most of entire human life cannot be separated from graphic product. Newspaper, books, invitation, etc. are the part of it. But for the graphic industrial, graphic process still must be managed well for efficiency and effectively in order to decrease cost. For handling that problem we must develop good procedure, control the production and develop an information system based on computer to manage it. Abstract

Sequencing and scheduling are forms of decision-making which play a crucial role in manufacturing as well as in service industries, In the current competitive environment, effective sequencing and scheduling has become a necessity for survival in the market-place. Companies have to meet shipping dates committed to the customers, as failure 10 do so may result in a significant loss of good will. They also have to schedule activities in such a way as to use the resources available in an efficient manner. Scheduling concerns the allocation of limited resources to tasks or jobs over time. It is a decision-makin process that has as a goal the optimization of one or more objectives. Generate and Test Algorithm is used as a model for scheduling jobs to get information of optimum Make Span. Because of Generate and Test try all of possibility of sequence jobs, this information system is based on computer to process faster

Abstract

Transportation model will transform some m sources to n goals. To choose transportation tools, it is necessary to develop a software in order to get optimum solution. Heuristic methode, Generate and Test is used to gain transportation tools with minimum cost. This program will be developed in Visual Basic. Result of Generate and Test methode is optimum combination of transportation tools get from comparing every combination with other combination.
