Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of functions and management of public relations (PR) performed by Directorate of Media, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the socialization of the acts about Public Information. This study also determines the method and the factors that support as well as hinder the socialization. Based on this study, Directorate of Media has conducted functions and management of PR to socialize the Freedom of Information Law. PR functions used in this study is publicity through the media, writing activity with a theme related news format Freedom of Information Law, website development and web interface, media relations to expand the reach of socialization, and PR function as communication technician. PR Management related to socialization through stages fact finding, planning the socialization mechanisms, action and communication or the realization the plan, and evaluation.

Abstract

Banking industry have hand in glove relevant to its consumer, because relations between client and banking represent one unity. Both of the components is requiring each other. On that account, bank have to earn to give best service to all its clients so that good relation among both parties. In banking industry, the best service is one key for to defend in banking existence. Its applying can be seen in part of office front as strength a bank. For example, officer in part customer service activity will assist client conduct transaction opening of account, denunciating, or request of information concerning banking product.This research used variable customer service activity and satisfication of customer to measure customer loyalty. Object in this research is PT Bank Riau Kepri Capem Panam client. Quantitative analysis in this research is done with reliability test, validity test, and correlation product moment analysis. Result of research indicate that variable customer service activity and satisfaction of customer have connection and influence which are positive to customer loyalty.

Abstract

A novel can be seen as “a text in the contexts”. So do Bekisar Merah by Ahmad Tohari, a distinctive Indonesian novelist. This article tries to present a critical reading of Bekisar Merah through post-colonialism perspectives, especially regarding to gender issue that was represented from the novel. How does the representation of women in that novel, and its relation to the social condition? That is the major question that would be answered in this article.

Abstract

Rating indeed determines selling price of the program to the advertiser. The higher rating brings the greater number of advertiser. The greater advertiser then means a better life of a TV station. As a consequence, almost all TV station is competing to produce a program that could “buy” market and advertiser, even though they must decrease the quality of TV program's contents. In the other hand, rating itself is a controversy. The rating system gets sharp critics due to its weakness, both from methodological and technical sides. Basically, rating couldn't represent a deeper viewing behavior of the audience, the audience's focus when watching TV, et cetera. This article will elaborate how rating works in Indonesian TV industry. The relation between rating, advertisement, advertiser, and the market share will be explained. The discussion in this writing will develop on the subject of the debates and controversy around rating.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah salah satu negeri rentan bencana. Ketika sebuah bencana teijadi, masyarakat selalu ingin tahu tentang berbagai hal mengenai bencana tersebut, misalnya tentang penyebab, korban, kerugian, dampaknya secara luas, penanggulangan, dan lainnya. Dalam situasi ketidakpastian yang ditimbulkan bencana, kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap berita-berita bencana akan meningkat tajam. Kebutuhan informasi seputar bencana yang meningkat tajam ini menggerakkan liputan bencana yang intensif dari media mass a. Media- media di Indonesia masih menunjukkan euforia saat memberitakan bencana. Sebagian besar media hanya mengeksploitasi bencana sebagai ‘kisah satir yang menghibur’, dengan bjerbagai praktik dramatis asi, demi kepentingan akumulasi modal semata.

Abstract

Currently the visual democratic regime has been growing as a mode of Indonesian political contestations. Political party, political institution, governance, civil society, and media industries subordinated by the visual democratic regime. This article will examine and reflect that phenomenon. First, this article will examine the visual democratic regime and its impact on practical democracy in Indonesia. Second, this article elaborates the political-economic logic of democracy based on visual democratic regimes. Third, the privatization and personalization of Indonesian political performance facing the national election 2009 will be discussed. Last, this article will explain the public sphere anomaly around the contestations of political performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berdasarkan pemikiran bahwa media film sebagai media komunikasi yang menyampaikan pesan kepada penontonnya dengan kelebihannya baik dari sisi seni maupun tekhnologinya sehingga sangat efektif dalam penyampaian pesannya. Film merupakan paket media paling lengkap, karena film adalah media audio visual. Pesan film hendaknya bisa menjadi media dakwah yang efektif jika dikelola dan dipergunakan secara profesional. Karena dakwah melalui media film memiliki relevansi sosiologis dengan masyarakat, mengingat peeinta film di Indonesia mayoritas beragama Islam.Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu analisis wacana pada teks film Habibie & Ainun dengan cara studi dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan data-data, yang kemudian diklasifikasikan untuk mendukung penelitian ini. Dan data-data yang telah diperoleh, penelitian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan intrepretasi untuk memperoleh tema dan skema yang terdapat dalam teks film Habibie & Ainun Kemudian dan tema dan skema yang telah diperoleh penelitian di fokuskan terhadap teks him yang menyampaikan pesan-pesan dakwah dalam film Habibie & Ainun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa film Habibie & Ainun mengusung tema utama membangun rumah tangga yang Harmonis (Sakinah, mawadah, Warahmah). Skema yang digunakan struktur film yang standar ber-genre drama romantis. Dan nilai dakwah yang disampaikan sesuai pesan dakwah keislaman.Kata kunci: film, komunikasi dakwah, komunikasi profetik

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of woman hair as an identity symbol in relation with the development of information technology and industry. Women hair has became a commodificated human organ. Advertisements of some hair cosmetic products that showed beautiful image of celebrities' hair have bother women as media consumers. Media has been continuing to reproduce that image. This cause an identity crisis among women that could send them into a condition called mimetic crisis. Women try hard to “become-a-like” the image that shown in media, especially through advertisements there. Then, the meaning of beautiful is constructed by those advertisements rather than by women. Therefore, women face two options: freedom to express themselves in their own style, or drift into media and industry exploitations.

Abstract

In 2012, Indonesian Corruption Eradication Comission (KPK) investigate further to Nazaruddin statement about Anas Urbaningrum’s corruption assessment on the sport center case. The frame analysis is used to look how Jawa Pos and Kompas Daily cover Anas Urbaningrum corruption assessment. This study concerns on Jawa Pos and Kompas Daily Januari editions 2012 about this news. It find that Jawa Pos Daily presents the Anas Urbaningrum’s news with resolute. While Kompas Daily presents that news with irresolute.
